Sheba, Sorry your power went out. 2 Hours is a long time especially when it’s hot.
Good thing your cold water is actually cold. Since I have lived in S. CA , the cold water has been lukewarm. No cold or icy cold water out of the faucets. No cold showers. I miss that about the mid-west.

I sometimes wonder if the city or town cut the power to let the grid cool. Glad you have power now. You do the same as me. I have the overhead fans in every room and it does help when the A/C is off.

I didn’t get to Aldi’s, but definitely tomorrow. I did have ice cream in the freezer and scooped it into a thermos plastic container with cover. These little containers are very handy. When I arrived, hubby was sitting on the opposite side of his bed dangling his legs. He was actually trying to get out of bed. He gave me a fright and he thought it was funny…..Luckily one of the aids popped in to help his roommate and saw what was happening. She acted like a General which made me laugh so hard I thought I would burst. Hubby was not that enthused. You definitely need to watch him every second. And yes, he is getting PT..

Tomorrow I will be going to the Farmer’s Market as well as Aldi’s. I need fresh fruit and veggies. Something that can stay in the frig for a few days without spoiling. Besides, all the fruit and veggies at the Market are native either to Florida or from other States. I also have a yen for “chowdah” and hope they have it. They have choices of 6 soups everyday. All homemade. Actually their sandwiches, salads, breads, etc. are all made from scratch. And, yes, they do give you the recipes if you ask. Hubby asked for ice cream sandwiches. .

Xango, Covid seems to be everywhere again. Best wishes for your husband to have a speedy recovery.
Agree with Oodie. We now plan 1-3 days after we travel for sick time from the airplane. There and Back.

The air vents on planes leave a lot to be desired. Your hubby probably caught the Covid bug on one of the flights. It is absolutely not a picnic and leaves it’s mark wherever it can. Best advice I have is to wear your mask and also gloves, especially when you are doing laundry or cleaning. I would make easy meals. I lived on chicken soup with carrots, bok choy (use celery if you like) and of course chicken. I added fruit to the mix which enhanced the flavor. I also enjoyed iced tea,, iced coffee, lemonade, juices, etc.. I only make the fresh juices because the ones in the supermarket are loaded with preservatives. Most importantly, make him move around. Don’t let him stay in bed all day. Walking inside the house will help his heart and lungs. Please keep us posted and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Take care of yourself and make sure you get some rest.

Well the power did not stay on it was off again for a few hours but I was fine.
I don’t want to do that again in triple digit weather.

I have enjoy all the Olympic and the Girls were great! 😎🎈The men were so cool.
I love the Clark Kent glasses and they were so happy for that medal. Go USA!

I have had the afternoon like no other. The power went out again after I posted it was
back on and it did not come back on until after 6:00 p.m. I am so glad hubby got home
with A/C. I was more worried about Poppy. We were going to go but something told me
to stay put as people will be everywhere.

I watch my use of all my energy sources. I always know when to water my plants and garden.

I like cold showers and I use cold water to wash in the summer time. We try to conserve as
best we can. I don’t need much heat as I am warm blooded but the one thing I don’t like
is the humid weather OZ have. So I will put on a small fan to control the temps.

I hope you got all your shopping one and done. I hope your husband got his Ice Cream. 💕😎

I have two flavors in the freezer and after a cool shower in Korres I will have a little bit. 😎💕

OMG! You have a lot going on. First I am wishing your husband a speedy recovery.
I had relatives with issues with the Airports so I know how that is. Annoying!

How are you doing? Please keep that Mask on and do for your husband what you can.
My neighbor had Covid and did not know it this was in 2021 I was masking up I went
to check on him he begged me for soup I just happen to have some and I made him a bowl
which I let him keep. Well a few days later he went to ER and he had Covid. I would not have
went in had I know that we thought it was the flu which is just as bad. I am thankful I
wore my mask and gloves. I am glad to say he made a full recovery.

Well I lost a relative from a hot tub incident in Boulder and we took his ashes to Minnesota
to be with some of the family. My nephew is making a painful recovery from the hit and run.
We the family know he is very lucky a bystander came to his rescue. The Angels were looking
down on him. The relative that drowned has some health problems and we are still dealing
with this loss he was only 21 years old.

The loss of my father is coming up fast so my heart is in a gentle place.

Hello Sheba, I hope you are well and your sinus not giving you any problems .
I am not sorry to see the end of July. I am welcoming August.
How is your nephew’s recovery going?

Hubby took a few days off and went to visit his mom. Spend some days with her. I stayed behind so he could have the time with her.
While he was away the air-conditioning decided to stop working. Two days later the fire alarms goes off in the middle of the night. Once one goes off, they all do. There’s one that talks, it says fire, fire. Looked all over couldn’t find any fire. Took a broom brushed it off in case it was some dust, then a banged on it with the broom handle and it stopped, 😆.

Coming back home, hubby checked his flight and both flights were on schedule. After getting into St. Paul, Minneapolis to take his second flight, they canceled it. It took him three hours in line to find out he couldn’t get a flight back to Tampa. The software update had thrown a loop in his trip. It took 4 nights and three days to get a flight out of there.

Well 4 days after being back, he came down with Covid-19 for the first time.
He is taking his meds and following doctors orders.
He has diabetes II, and had heart surgery 2 years ago.

Now it’s my turn to take care of him after he took good care of me.
I am trying not to become a victim of Covid-19. I’m wearing my mask, cleaning and washing everything.

Way to go USA Women’s gymnastic team!!🥇 And the men’s!🥉 That’s all I’ve had on the TV this week, nice change from the game/reality shows on all summer. I am really enjoying all the athletes. Ledecky just won the 1500m.🥇 Wow, that’s a lot of swimming, I can cook my dinner in less time.

Hot here, too, low 90’s.🔥 Haven’t lost electricity, yet. We finally got a little rain yesterday. My sis and your old neighbor are looking at 112+ in Palm Springs. I was there once and it was the only place that I’ve ever gotten out of the sun by the pool. My husband came back from golfing and couldn’t find me at the pool because he never thought to look under an umbrella.😂
