No telly for me there is so much you can take. So glad I have choices.

Good evening wee bit late for me to post this is not my norm. I have a blazing headache
I took some meds and just sat still with hubby and Poppy. 💕😘

I am about to jump in the shower as OZ is cooling down and we have some good rain
coming real soon. I say bring it. YAY! 🎈

Oodie be careful with certain foods that affect you. I love Amish Food and we have a market
here they come all the way from St. James, MO. I think they make the best home made pies
ever. I buy other dishes from them I wish we had more of the Amish coming to sale their
Goods. 💕 We don’t have the kind of Markets you have on the Gulf Coast.

Happy planting I still a few more I need to finish. Well I am going to drink some water
jump in the tub and call it a night.

This reminds me of a place you and hubby may have been. I love the Orient. 😎

Ode To Billy Joe – Bobbie Gentry

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin’ cotton, and my brother was balin’ hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And mama hollered out the back door, y’all, remember to wipe your feet
And then she said, I got some news this mornin’ from Choctaw Ridge
Today, Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And papa said to mama, as he passed around the blackeyed peas
Well, Billy Joe never had a lick of sense; pass the biscuits, please
There’s five more acres in the lower forty I’ve got to plow
And mama said it was shame about Billy Joe, anyhow
Seems like nothin’ ever comes to no good up on Choctaw Ridge
And now Billy Joe MacAllister’s jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And brother said he recollected when he, and Tom, and Billie Joe
Put a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show
And wasn’t I talkin’ to him after church last Sunday night?
I’ll have another piece-a apple pie; you know, it don’t seem right
I saw him at the sawmill yesterday on Choctaw Ridge
And now ya tell me Billie Joe’s jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And mama said to me, child, what’s happened to your appetite?
I’ve been cookin’ all morning, and you haven’t touched a single bite
That nice young preacher, Brother Taylor, dropped by today
Said he’d be pleased to have dinner on Sunday, oh, by the way
He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge
And she and Billy Joe was throwing somethin’ off the Tallahatchie Bridge

A year has come and gone since we heard the news ’bout Billy Joe
And brother married Becky Thompson; they bought a store in Tupelo
There was a virus going ’round; papa caught it, and he died last spring
And now mama doesn’t seem to want to do much of anything
And me, I spend a lot of time pickin’ flowers up on Choctaw Ridge
And drop them into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie Bridge

I know the planets are aligned. but it is very cloudy on the Gulf Coast. I am sure there is a moon somewhere. Surprise, Surprise, we had some rain today and it felt so good. Guess now I can say “June is bustin out all over.” I’ve been humming that song since Saturday.

Today started out beautiful. A smattering of clouds, nothing ominous. Sometime after 12 pm, the larger clouds started to roll in and my back started to give me a problem along with a slight headache. I just knew then that there was a good chance for something wet. Around 1 pm I started to get ready to make a few stops. Left around 1:30 and the rain started. Nothing major. Just a light rain that the plants would enjoy. First stop was Sam’s club for gas. They were one cent cheaper than Costco. Then it was on to the #1.25 Tree which now has items up to $5 or $6. Then on to Lowes to see if they had Teal planters. And they did. Guess tomorrow I will do some planting. These are for the dipladenia plants Need to return to Sam’s for soil. I thought I would stop at Costco, but the car had other plans. It put me in an aisle for left turns only. Will venture that way tomorrow.

The salads at the Farmer’s Market are made fresh, though you do need to watch the dates on some things. There are no preservatives and no sulfites., though I am leery of ham and bacon, but sometimes will take a chance. I just won’t eat a whole lot. I have found that the Amish food are mostly with natural ingredients. It’s one of t he few places that I don’t have to read the labels unless I’m purchasing a brand name item. I found that I cannot tolerate Heinz Ketchup. First ingredient is corn starch. This is a sulfite along with corn syrup and cinnamon. Apples and peaches are not sulfites, but the skin is loaded with chemicals to keep the bugs away. So, in a sense they are. This is why I steam them. The bug sprays goes not only on the skins, but right to the fruit.

It’s great to see you posting again. I hope your doctor appointment turns out OK. Sounds like you are on the road to recovery. I hope you won’t need another hospital stay. Take care.

Hi Sheba, I am feeling better and getting better each day.
That’s such a beautiful view, I could use an Ocean view. To relax listening to the Ocean and watching the waves.
I have an appointment on Wednesday, may have to have another procedure will find out.

Well, it didn’t take long for me to have a full blown cough, cold and sore throat,😤 Hardly slept last night. My sides and back hurt from coughing and sneezing and I have a headache. I can probably fall asleep standing up right now.😴 Needless to say, I have gotten nothing done today but some reading. I hope tonight and tomorrow are a little better. Thank you, husband!😫
