Conversation 24
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 24 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎
-
Peace Out Peeps enjoy your evening.
-
The thread is a mess and I simply cannot work like this. There is no order what so ever.
Sigh…it is what it is some type of glitch. I may change how often I post a new thread.Oz is alright tonight and tomorrow I will make a new thread.
I so loved Heidi Daus today with Lynn Murphy. 😎
I hope you are getting everything done so glad hubby has a nice room mate.
The moon is full tonight.

NATIONAL SOLITAIRE DAY | MAY 22
On May 22, National Solitaire Day recognizes a card game that has been around for more than 200 years. Also known as Klondike, the classic version of the game uses a standard deck of 52 playing cards. The object of the game is to clear the board by creating a stack of cards from low to high in each suit. If the player completes each suit, the player wins the game of Solitaire.
It wasn’t until 1990 when Microsoft included Solitaire in Windows 3.0 that the game truly went viral.Microsoft Solitaire successfully helped teach computer users how to use a mouse and, in the process, ended up becoming one of the most played video games in history.
“…For the past 30 years,Microsoft Solitaire has been providing great entertainment to hundreds of millions of players in every corner of the world, and we’re happy to announce that May 22 of each calendar year will officially be designated as National Solitaire Day, recognizing the day Microsoft first included Solitaire in Windows,” says Paul Jensen, Studio Manager for Microsoft Casual Games.
In 2012, Microsoft evolved Solitaire into the Microsoft Solitaire Collection. These changes feature five of the top Solitaire games in one app. Since then, the game has been played by over 242 million people.

NATIONAL VANILLA PUDDING DAY | MAY 22
May 22nd is the day we recognize National Vanilla Pudding Day. Enjoy it with a delicious dish of cold, creamy vanilla pudding.
The puddings we enjoy as desserts today are not what was commonly known as pudding at ancient dinner tables. Most medieval puddings were meat-based and seasoned with herbs and spices. Even sweetened cooks usually served them hot. Toward the end of the 18th century, people more than likely made puddings from grains or day-old bread with nuts, fruit, or meats. They used these puddings to stretch meals for a large family.
The creamy pudding we are more familiar with today is related to the custard, minus the eggs.
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but spouses who are chemists are the inventors. When you are Alfred Bird and your wife is allergic to eggs, that is very true. In 1837, Bird invented an egg-free custard powder using flavored cornstarch.
My-T-Fine produced the earliest packaged pudding in the United States in 1918. This and other puddings like them still required cooking on the stove. The instant version came along in the mid-1940s. On its own or as an ingredient in a larger recipe, pudding can be enjoyed in various flavors.

NATIONAL CRAFT DISTILLERY DAY | MAY 22
On May 22nd, National Craft Distillery Day adds spirits to the small-batch revolution. Recognizing the diversity of distilled spirits, the industry followed in the footsteps of the craft brewers and began creating a market for themselves.
History of Distilling
Spirit distillation has a long and influential history going back to the Greeks. Some scholars trace the earliest recorded wine distilling recipes back to Anaxilaus of Thessaly. Despite this, Rome expelled him for practicing magic in 28 B.C. The Greeks also took this idea and learned if they boiled wine in an open container, the hot alcohol vapor escaped first. Next, they captured the alcohol vapor.
When they slowly heated the wine in a vessel with a small mouth covered by a bowl, the alcohol collected as a condensed vapor inside the bowl. Then the Greeks discovered with the addition of a downward-slanted tube the vapor cooled and collected in the receiving vessel. Thus, the word “distill” comes from the Latin verb destillare, meaning “to drip down.”
Craft Distilleries
Years of invention and discovery led to the spirits we drink today. Much like the boom of craft breweries in the 90s, today’s small craft distilleries complement large distilleries with artisan-crafted spirits. From gin and whiskey to bourbon, rum, and vodka, craft distillers infuse unique qualities into their products while using locally sourced ingredients. Focusing on their craft and bringing a subtle character to their final spirit, distilleries set themselves apart from the competition. And the competition grows!

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES FOR CHILDREN DAY
We celebrate Emergency Medical Services for Children Day on Wednesday during Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week. Also known as EMS Day, we give special thanks to EMS providers for the way they respond to the needs of millions of Americans every year.
On Emergency Medical Services for Children Day, we raise awareness of the need improving specialized care for children. Emergency care often comes from parents, caregivers, trained EMS providers and hospital personnel. Together, they strive to meet the unique needs of critically ill or injured pediatric patients.
Emergency Medical Services are a combination of resources that make up a large system. The organizational structure of EMS not only provides medical services, it also provides financial and community services. Agencies in EMS services include fire departments, law enforcement, search and rescue and medical personnel. In its entirety, EMS services is massive.
The primary goal of any EMS service is to provide emergency medical care. All EMS service are members of a community that are first on scene of an emergency and can identify health problems. Whether an emergency includes a accident, hazard spills or a life threatening illness, EMS service providers are trained individuals who have one goal–provide emergency medical care.
The network of EMS consists of, but are not limited to:
Private and public agencies.
Hospitals and trauma centers.
Rehab facilities.
Trained professionals for emergency treatment.
911 networks.
Volunteers.
Federal, state, city and county government officials. -

Good morning in Ohio and may this day find you doing very well. 🎈😎😘
Miss ya Loaf. -
Good Morning in Florida I want you to know you are missed on this thread. 😎🎈😘
Be well my friend and I miss our conversations. This song is for you. 🎈The Dangling Conversation
Song by Simon & GarfunkelIt’s a still life watercolor
Of a now-late afternoon
As the sun shines through the curtain lace
And shadows wash the room
And we sit and drink our coffee
Couched in our indifference, like shells upon the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
The borders of our lives
And you read your Emily Dickinson
And I my Robert Frost
And we note our place with book markers
That measure what we’ve lost
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm
Couplets out of rhyme
In syncopated time (in syncopated time)
And the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
Are the borders of our lives
Yes, we speak of things that matter
With words that must be said
“Can analysis be worthwhile?”
“Is the theater really dead?”
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow, I cannot feel your hand
You’re a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
In the borders of our lives -
Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie I so enjoyed Heidi Daus last night with
Adam Freeman. Oodie it felt like ole times that laughter gets me every time. 😘😎💕I hope your day is going well and enjoy the market. OZ is cooler today.
I would like to know how things went yesterday with your husband.
I will be watching Heidi this afternoon with Lynn Murphy. 😎
I do hope Xango reach out to us when the time is right for her.
Take care today. 🎈😎

Well, this thread is a bit different and that’s OK.. It’s refreshing…..
I didn’t shop yesterday. Too late. Will be on my way in a half hour.
Yesterday was a bit different. Hubby was just finishing his dinner when I arrived. His roommate decided to try the dining room and he was a bit unhappy. He actually enjoys talking to hubby. Also, another nurse popped in and he told hubby that he had some severe leg problems and it took a year and a half before he could stand and walk again. Also, all physicians had told him he would never walk again. He mentioned it was agonizing, but he persevered. So glad he popped in. He will work with hubby from time to time over the next few weeks. Hubby needs to practice leg and arm movements.
If I do not make it to Costco, I will not have any water. The tap water in Florida leaves a lot to be desired. That goes for both the East Coast and the Gulf Coast. It has a terrible flavor and it reeks of chlorine. The one thing I have learned by being here for the good part of three years is that the ocean, lakes and reservoirs are dumping grounds from manufacturers. Though the Governor will say it is the best in all 50 States, it is not. Tests prior to his governorship proved otherwise. I wonder if this is one of the things that is giving Florida a high cancer rate. This is something that I have questioned since being here as a visitor and as a homeowner.
I did enjoy HD last night. I thought Adam did a good job. The one thing I need to say is that he did his homework. I had a few things in favorites and bought the dragonfly sailboat pin. It is so good to see the dragonflies in Florida. For some reason I have not seen any in our homes North. I thought they died out. But they are so plentiful here. I also used to see the praying mantis. Have not seen one in years. Even the green grasshoppers. Hope they all make a comeback. Well, time to go. Have a great day and a nice walk with Poppy. It is over 90 here, but the humidity is low. UV Index is high and so is the pollen. Stay safe.

Good morning in S. California I do hope you are feeling better. Taci get plenty of rest

a transformer. I have to say to my surprise it was back up in a few hours. YAY!How is your mother and sister? I hope they are keeping cool. I cannot believe it is almost
memorial day. Where is time going?Hey sending cool breezes to you and Jake. 😘🎈😎

NATIONAL MEMO DAY | May 21
Each year on May 21st, we recognize National Memo Day. We will send you a reminder, just in case you forget.
A memo, short for a memorandum, is a document or other communication, intended to inform a group of people about a specific topic. Usually used in an office setting, memos serve a variety of purposes. A memo may be a note, email, or other record made for future use. It is produced as a written message, especially in business or diplomacy.
These missives also have gained a bad reputation by slipping into the wrong hands. In the modern world, that means shared infinitely on social media. When the messages contain proprietary business information, state secrets, or passionate opinions, memos are usually best kept out of print.
The observance aims to reduce the number of memos issued in the workplace. It also hopes that memo writers keep their messages brief and to the point.

NATIONAL STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM DAY | May 21
Each year on May 21st, we combine two favorites for a celebration on National Strawberries and Cream Day. Fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream is a must when strawberries are in season. They are the perfect, refreshing, light snack on a beautifully warm day!
With these bright red berries in season, it should be no surprise that it’s also National Strawberry Month. Strawberries are a very healthy snack as they are low-fat, low in calories, and an excellent source of vitamin C, fiber, folic acid, and potassium.
Strawberries grow all over the world. Not only are they delicious, but they are also fragrant. With over 600 varieties, we have quite a few to choose from, too.
While strawberries and cream makes a great dessert, it can also be eaten for breakfast or a snack. You can also add a little granola for texture. If you enjoy chocolate, drizzle a little on top. No matter how you enjoy your strawberries, you just cannot go wrong with this treat.
-
NATIONAL WAITSTAFF DAY | MAY 21
On May 21st, National Waitstaff Day recognizes the dedicated and often talented waitstaff. We are encouraged to show appreciation to all waitstaff for making our dining experiences enjoyable. At the same time, restaurant owners and managers also recognize and express their appreciation for their team of waitstaff. They help restaurants thrive.
Waitstaff, servers, are a big determining factor in the quality of your dining encounter. They serve as the communicator between the diner and the kitchen. While meeting the needs of several tables at once, they also represent the restaurant. Seasoned waitstaff are knowledgeable and efficient. They are key to creating an extraordinary dining experience. The food may be delicious, but their attentiveness and attitude can make or change the whole experience.
Most waitstaff go out of their way to ensure you receive excellent service and ensure that you have the best time possible. They fill your drinks before you ask, bring extra bread, rolls or chips, give honest recommendations on food choices when asked, and are a valuable asset to any restaurant. Excellent servers turn diners into regulars who are known by name.

Good morning in sunny Florida Xango you are on my mind and we all miss you. 😎😘
-
Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie how are you doing today? I know you
like all of us was pretty busy. Oz is dark right now and I believe we will have rain shortly.
The Pollen Count is up as well. 😎Poppy and I went out early to get a workout in and it feels so good.
Are you taking the Piano to your husband today? Enjoy your shopping at the
Markets. 💕 I am doing a little of this and that never a dull moment in these parts.Oodie I am glad you able to sign in I hope it is smooth sailing from now on. 😎
I am looking forward to watching Heidi Daus tonight. 💕😘🎈 Let me know how things
are going for you. -
Getting ready to make a stop at Costco. I am running out of water and a few other things. i was thinking that the piano would be a great idea, however, I do not relish leaving it in the vehicle while shopping especially under a hot sun. No hotdogs this time, but thinking about their Caesar salad and a soft ice cream for hubby. The trip from Costco is only 4 miles or so to the Rehab, but loads of traffic lights. We really could use some raindrops. Will need to start watering tomorrow. It’s a sunny day with temps in the mid 80s. Temp at night will be in the mid 70s. Humidity is low.
I am concerned with xango. At this point I am not sure if she is alright. It’s not like her not to sign in even to say hello. I am wondering if she had computer problems like me or if there are health issues keeping her away. Like you, I am concerned. To think I’m not that far away and if I knew where she was, I could take a ride just to make sure she and her hubby are OK. My favorite Asian market is near her. I haven’t been there in over a year or two due to hubby being disabled. Hopefully, she is reading our posts. I also hope her family in Brazil are OK. Their weather hasn’t been that good either and there is some tropical illnesses going around.
It’s getting late and I need to get ready. I will be watching HD tonight. Should be a great evening. Please tread carefully. Stay safe.
-
Good evening I hope Xango is alright. I am trying to keep faith. Many people leave
boards and sometimes they return. I don’t know what is going on but I hope all is well
with her family. ✨🌹Oodie rest and enjoy some of Heidi Daus soon. ✨🌹

Good morning in S. California Taci I hope your throat is feeling better today. Glad you had

Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶😎

Sheba, hello! I will be watching HD along with you. I’m congested. Spent the morning drinking hot lemon water with a tiny bit of honey and I skipped the hike.
Florida sounds so hot. We know some people who want to move there and one family that did quite a few years ago. Like you and Oodie, sure hope Xango is ok.
Have a great evening. -
Good evening I hope you feel better soon. Taci I lost power today a transformer
knocked out all the power in our area. The power was back on before hubby
got off from work.Good things it was slightly warm. I am about to jump in the shower and enjoy
Heidi Daus. -
Good day in the beautiful ‘burgh. Lady I know things are happening in your yard today.
I am so glad you do not have to do it in the heat.OZ is warm and the A/C is set to come on at a certain temp. 😎🎈
I hope the Mulch looks real nice when the worker is done. So far no trees
are down in these parts yet. A lot of people did not have power for a while yesterday.Hey stay cool and enjoy the day sending cool vibes to you and Jake. 😎🎈💕
-
Good afternoon from my house. Mulch man just left, five hours in the sun and heat.🌞🔥 Everything looks great around the house now.
We have a first alert weather day tomorrow, getting your storms and possibly some tornado warnings.🌪 Here we go again, seems like this happens every week. And I don’t live in tornado alley like you. The weather is bonkers.😵
Getting ready to grill some hamburgers. Have a safe walk this evening, hope your power stays on. Hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Lost power shortly after I finished the thread earlier. So nice to have the power back

Nancy Sinatra Lyrics
“You Only Live Twice”You only live twice or so it seems
One life for yourself and one for your dreams
You drift through the years and life seems tame
Till one dream appears and love is it’s nameAnd love is a stranger who’ll beckon you on
Don’t think of the danger or the stranger is goneThis dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twiceAnd love is a stranger who’ll beckon you on
Don’t think of the danger or the stranger is goneThis dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twice

NATIONAL RESCUE DOG DAY | MAY 20
On May 20th, National Rescue Dog Day recognizes all the benefits of allowing a four-legged canine to adopt you into their immeasurably lovable life.
According to the ASPCA, approximately 3.3 million dogs enter shelters every year. When these abandoned and abused animals find their way to a shelter, each one needs a forever home and their potential is limitless. They’re rescue dogs.
No matter their size, color, or breed, dogs will find a way to nuzzle, fetch, or beg their way into your heart. You will find it hard not to scratch one behind the ear.
Rescue dogs often overcome extreme obstacles. And yet, they provide comfort, security, and friendship as family pets. Rescue dogs are also capable of much more. With training, they contribute to the independence of people with disabilities as service animals and give comfort to the elderly. In these circumstances, they become our eyes, ears, or legs as well as our best friend.
Rescue dogs provide a variety of therapeutic benefits, too. Children, teens, and adults with autism may benefit from services provided by trained rescue dogs. As emotional support companions, rescue dogs help to relieve anxiety, depression, and PTSD among the military or those who suffer from mental illness.
They make excellent teachers, too. Rescue dogs show children about caring and kindness. Rescue dogs can even be trained to rescue us from dangerous situations or help to investigate the cause of a fire.
When it comes to four-legged friends, they improve the human condition by leaps and bounds, barks, and yips. It is hard to imagine a more helpful, worthy companion. It’s time to give them a treat!

NATIONAL PICK STRAWBERRIES DAY | MAY 20
Every May 20th, National Pick Strawberries Day encourages us to pick some strawberries. Right about this time of year, they start coming into season.
There is something special about the taste of a sun-warmed strawberry picked straight off of the vine. Strawberries are best fresh, but they also make delicious desserts. Strawberry shortcakes or adding them to homemade yogurt and fresh jams come to mind. However, strawberries also have other good qualities.
Strawberry picking time is usually between late April and throughout the summer, depending on what part of the United States you live. When harvesting strawberries, you want to look for the bright red, firm, and plump ones.
Strawberries are members of the rose family.
There are about 200 seeds in a single strawberry.
The roots of a strawberry plant are 3 inches above the soil.
They are the only fruit with their seeds on the outside.
Weather, variety, and ripeness when harvested determine the flavor of a strawberry.
The nutrients found in strawberries make them a good source to add to your diet. A strawberry is only 32 calories and contains about:91% water
0.7 grams proteins
7.7 grams carbohydrates
4.9 grams natural sugar
2 grams of fiber
0.3 grams of fat
Strawberries are also an excellent source of vitamin C. Like most berries, they are low-fat, low in calories and a good source of fiber, folic acid, and potassium. In addition, strawberries can help fight bad cholesterol and may reduce inflammation. -
NATIONAL SUGARBEE® APPLE DAY
Today is May 20 and we want everyone to grab a crispy, juicy SugarBee® apple and enjoy the un-bee-lievable eating experience as you celebrate National SugarBee® Apple Day.
SugarBee® apples were developed by honeybees. One sunny day an adventurous honeybee was flying through the orchards collecting pollen. The bee transferred pollen from an unknown apple variety to a Honeycrisp apple blossom. Mother Nature did her part and the SugarBee® apple was born!
SugarBee® apples are a naturally occurring apple variety grown in Washington state. Their crisp juiciness and honey sweet flavor provide a wonderful apple eating experience. In fact, they are perfect for snacking, baking, saucing, and juicing.
SugarBee® apples also have great versatility and nutritional value. They are sweeter and crispier than most apples and have a touch of acidity that adds a complexity to make you crave your next bite.

NATIONAL QUICHE LORRAINE DAY
We celebrate May 20 as National Quiche Lorraine Day. This versatile French delight makes it an excellent dish for any time of the day.
Quiche Lorraine has origins beginning in the rural Lorraine region of France. While it’s considered a French dish, it developed during a time when the Lorraine Region was under German rule. Even the word Quiche comes from the German word kuchen, meaning cake. The Lorraine region of France is also known for many other delicious dishes such as madeleines, Jordon almonds, macarons, and Lorraine hotpot. Of course, the area is also known for its viticulture.
The original Quiche Lorraine was made with an open pie using a bottom crust with a filling of custard and smoked bacon. A cast-iron skillet was used to cook the original Quiche. Cheese was added to the recipe at a much later time.
Classic Quiche Lorraine must include eggs, heavy cream, bacon, Swiss cheese and a flaky crust. Whether you eat it hot or cold, Quiche Lorraine must stay true to the original recipe. Of course there are many different types of quiche recipes, but a recipe that contains ham, sausage, veggies or fruit is not Quiche Lorraine.
Quiche Lorraine pairs well with just about anything. Deciding what sides to serve with your quiche depends on what you. Consider serving:
Green salads
Roasted vegetables
Potatoes
French bread
Steamed veggies
Soup
Fruit salad
Rolls
Making Quiche Lorraine is extremely simple. However, the secret to a really delicious quiche is:1 egg = 1 half cup of heavy cream.
Pre-bake your crust.
Layer your crust with cheese before pouring in your egg mixture.
Do not overbake. -

Good day in Florida and Xango may this day find you doing well. 🎈😎We all miss you
and only want the best for you. Please be well my friend.I hope the little critters still pay you a visit every now and then. 💕
-
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie how are things going for you on
this Monday?Oz is getting a little warmer after the storm we had last night. We do have the A/C ready
to turn on at a certain point in the day. 😎Oodie so much is going on in the world I had to turn the Telly off.
What book are you reading now? I hope your issues with signing in are resolved.
Wishing you and hubby a nice Monday and I am hoping you have a outing with him
soon. 🎈💕😎 -
Oodie, Oh my Florida sounds very hot. I saw your post about the pans and will read it again. You posted some good information. Thank you. Glad hubby is doing well.
-
I am now able to sign in. At least it’s been working since last week. I still will not return to the Arcade any time soon. Right now the desktop is humming and I want to keep it that way.
Hubby is in good spirits and adores his new roommate. He has been very helpful. I will not be seeing hubby today. I have been on the phone for two hours with our car insurance people and finally everything is OK.. I never received the packet by either e-mail or snail mail.
Tomorrow Costco. The Farmer’s Market Wednesday. The Farmer’s Market had a new plant which seems to be native to Florida. It’s called Dipladenia which is actually a Mandevilla. In some respects the flowers look like a petunia, but are not sticky . The plants were in a beautiful container with a trellis and when I tried to put one in my carriage, found it too heavy to pick up. It had to weigh close to 50lbs. Yes, I could have someone help me, but the problem would be how to get it out of the car. So did some research and found that Lowes, Home Depot and Amazon have them and they deliver. It was an answer to my prayers.
And speaking of an answer to my prayers. I was wondering if hubby would be able to use the bathroom with the bars nailed into the toilet. Well, yesterday, while visiting hubby, I found another answer. There is something new and may be a better alternative. There is a wheelchair that fits over the toilet seat. It’s kind of cute. I became excited when I saw the ad while reading the news. This thing would enable hubby to use the rest rooms while traveling and would also come in handy at our homes North. However, if the PT people can get him to stand on the good leg or even able to take a few steps with the bad one, there would be no need for this chair. Then, again, may still think about it as an alternative. I did mention this to hubby and he was excited that there are many ideas out there that will enable him to function better. He was all smiles. I even showed this to the aid and he was amazed.
Just read that Florida’s East Coast had temps that reached 115 degrees. Of course that is with the heat index when you add in the humidity. The West Coast remained in the middle 90s. Still not good in either area since it is only May. Guess we need to start looking at the tropics. YIKES!!!!
-
Very warm tonight in OZ I am going to jump into the shower and just shake it off. 😎
Thunderstorms will roll in tonight. I plan to be sleep by then hopefully.I hope all the updates on your bathroom works for hubby you never know what you
will find now days. I hope everything works out well.No Telly tonight I think I will stick to music and reading. Hubby is in the shower and will
hit the sack in a few.I am very concerned about Xango at this point. I am just praying for the best.
-
Good morning in S. California. 😎🎈How are things going for you?
I hope no more rattlers along the trail.I am very aware when Poppy and I go walking I take notice of everything. I also take
in the fresh air and beauty all around. 💕🎈😎Well this is Monday and I have many irons in the fire. LOL!
Hey Happy Trails. 🎶🎶
-
Sheba, We had a nice day here and I went to a birthday lunch with 2 friends and then later hiked.
Have a slight sore throat and will go to bed early.
Have a great evening in Oz. Hope it cools down tomorrow. -
Good day in the ‘burgh. Lady you were right that Game was nerve wrecking. Well Colorado
had a good run until..as I always say there is always next year. 🎈😎Very warm right now in OZ we will have another thunder storm tonight. The weather is so
strange in the past few years. Hubby secured all the lawn furniture and put down the
huge umbrella. Lady one year it was so windy the Umbrella almost came through a
glass window. Honest things really do fly in OZ. LOL!I hope your A/C hangs on until the end of the month something tells me this will be a hot
summer. 😎🎈I hope you see some beautiful birds this year. My neighbor in back of me has about 10 bird
feeders and they are all lined up in his backyard so I do see interesting birds. 🎈I never had
to put up bird feeders because he has so many.Sending cool hugs to you and Jake. 😘💕🎈😎
-
Beautiful pics today, don’t know where you find all these day after day but they are A+. Love them!💖
Sunny and 86 right now, we will be very warm at least through Wednesday. The A/C did come on, yay!😊 Sorry about the game and, as you said, on to next year. Since I really don’t follow basketball, I didn’t realize they were the reigning champs.👍
Saw a Baltimore oriole (not the baseball team) on my deck railing yesterday, beautiful! I used to have a birdfeeder but the dogs would jump up and try to snatch the birds. Also the squirrels ate more than the birds and made a mess of things so no more feeders.
Mulch guy coming tomorrow to work in this heat, glad it’s him and not me, lol! Stay cool, warm hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

NATIONAL TAKE YOUR PARENTS TO THE PLAYGROUND DAY
Kids, you work hard every day. It’s time to show your parents just how hard you work. After all, your primary job is to play, and the third Sunday in May is National Take Your Parents to the Playground Day!
Outdoor play offers the obvious benefit of physical activity, helping to build strong muscles and bones. It also engages the child’s imagination, which contributes to developing creativity as well as self-confidence. But, a child’s work doesn’t stop there. Playing with others includes games, focus, and attention. As a result, playing teaches leadership and negotiation skills. The more children play, the healthier, smarter, and happier they are.
Include all these benefits with the celebration, and the value of play is increased exponentially because the whole family is involved.

NATIONAL MAY RAY DAY | MAY 19
May 19 is the time of year National May Ray Day celebrates the bright sunshine, warmer weather with just a slight breeze to cool your skin.
If your name is Ray or May, this is your chance to use your name as a way to get outdoors and soak up some sun. Afterall, this spring holiday is all about getting out into the sunshine and soak up some rays.
There are so many benefits of being in the sun, especially after a long winter. Our bodies need vitamins and minerals to maintain a healthy balance. Vitamin D is one of those vitamins we need for to maintain a healthy mind and body. Not only does it support bone health, it also lowers blood pressure, prevents disease and promotes strong mental health. There is also evidence healthy levels of Vitamin D in the body help reduce chances of getting cancer.
The sun is a natural resource you can use to help maintain healthy Vitamin D levels. Sun exposure:
Promotes strong bones.
Kills unwanted bacteria in your body.
Reduces cancer risks.
Reduces high blood pressure.
Improves sleeping habits.
Excessive sun exposure can also cause serious health problems, especially skin cancer. However, there are a few preventative measures you can take to make your day in the sun enjoyable:Wear clothes that cover your arms and legs.
Wear a wide-brimmed hat that covers your shoulders, ears, face and head.
Wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays.
Always were sunscreen with at least 15 SPF or higher.
Use an umbrella to block direct sunlight.
The natural turn of seasons is a beautiful transition. The grass turns green, flowers bloom, baby birds are seen learning to fly and new beginnings are seen everywhere. Springtime is a time to enjoy watching nature come alive.SOAK UP THE SUN
Plan a picnic.
Go for walk.
Buy a new summer dress.
Plant some flowers.
Read in the park.
Visit a zoo. -
NATIONAL DEVIL’S FOOD CAKE DAY | May 19
Little is better than May 19th with the flavor and richness of National Devil’s Food Cake Day to be enjoyed by chocolate cake lovers throughout the country and around the world.
Devil’s Food Cake is a heavenly chocolate cake. It differs from a regular chocolate cake by its darker color and tends to be more moist and airy. Devil’s Food cake recipes use hot or boiling water as the primary liquid. Cocoa is typically utilized in the batter, as opposed to chocolate, and coffee can be added for a distinctive flavor. A delicious chocolate frosting usually accompanies the cake.
The definition for deviled foods: Food that is dark, rich, and chocolate was termed “deviled” in its day. This term dates into the 18th century and remains popular in various recipes ever since. At one time, Velvet Red Cake was one name for what we might view today as deviled cake.
Recipes for Devil’s Food cakes often appeared alongside recipes for Angel Food cakes. One of the earliest recipes appeared on August 10, 1898, edition of the Hagerstown Exponent of Hagerstown, Indiana. While earlier chocolate cake recipes existed before this one, Devil’s Food Cake is uniquely different from other chocolate cakes.

I am still doing homework on the pans from the TS. As I said previously, Sarah, at least said Plastic a couple of times, but decided to take a chance. There has been quite a number of views on the Hex Clad pans and that it is actually a ceramic base that gives them the great rating. However, all sites have warned against putting them in the dishwasher because of the detergent one uses. Whether you use Finish or Cascade or another brand, they all have powerful cleaning agents that can do more harm to them. Also, using a high heat such as 400 degrees can do more harm than good as well. You can use them in the oven, but I would not go over 325 degrees. Slow cooking is by far the best rule to follow. I’m just not sure how these pans are made or who the Chef used for the manufacturing end. My so called Teflon pans have an aluminum base and are still going strong several years later. However, since I’m thoroughly going through everything in the kitchen including the pantry, I will be looking at these pots and pans very closely. I do own some Curtis Stone’s pans and they are still as good as the day they were delivered. I am impressed with these after reading some of the posts others have written. If you have time, read today’s news in MSN.com. There is an article on Teflon and the newer version called Hex Clad. Both Costco and Amazon carry the newer ones as well as WalMart and Target. I use “Consumer Reports” and CNET as just a couple of my go to places. It’s very interesting to say the least. Both of them say not to put them into your dishwasher and be careful with oven baking.
Be careful on your hikes. Enjoy the beauty of the day wherever you may be. Stay safe.

Nice day here, sunny and about 80.🌞 Warming up to mid 80’s through the middle of the week. I hope my old A/C turns on until the end of the month.
We had a few tornadoes in the area Friday afternoon/evening.🌪 One was right by the zoo but all people and animals were safe. That is about 6-7 miles from my house. Mulch guy didn’t show up yesterday because it was too wet.
Guess I was a little tired yesterday. Started to watch the hockey game, fell asleep and woke up a couple hours later.😴 Must be a sign my brain is hockeyed out.🏒 Good luck to your family with the game this evening.🏀 Hate game 7’s, too nerve-racking.🤪
So happy all is well with your brother.🙏 Warm hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Duran Duran Lyrics
“A View To A Kill”Meeting you with a view to a kill
Face to face in secret places, feel the chillNightfall covers me, but you know the plans I’m making
Still overseas, could it be the whole Earth opening wide
A sacred why, a mystery gaping inside
A week is why, until we…Dance into the fire
That fatal kiss is all we need
Dance into the fire
To fatal sounds of broken dreams
Dance into the fire
That fatal kiss is all we need
Dance into the fireThe choice for you is the view to a kill
Between the shades assassination standing stillThe first crystal tears fall as snowflakes on your body
First time in years to drench your skin in lover’s rosy stain
A chance to find the phoenix for the flame
A chance to die, but can we…Dance into the fire
That fatal kiss is all we need
Dance into the fire
To fatal sounds of broken dreams
Dance into the fire
That fatal kiss is all we need
Dance into the fireWhen all we see is the view to a kill

What’s Love Got to Do with It
Song by Tina TurnerYou must understand, though the touch of your hand
Makes my pulse react
That it’s only the thrill of boy meeting girl
Opposites attract
It’s physical
Only logical
You must try to ignore that it means more than that
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emo-
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emo-
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
It may seem to you that I’m acting confused
When you’re close to me
If I tend to look dazed, I’ve read it someplace
I’ve got cause to be
There’s a name for it
There’s a phrase that fits
But whatever the reason, you do it for me
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart, when a heart can be broken?
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emotion?
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart (when a heart can be broken?)
What’s love got to do, got to do with it?
What’s love but a second-hand emotion?
Oh-oh, what’s love got to do, got to do with it?
Who needs a heart when a heart can be broken?
Oh-oh
Oh-oh, what’s love?
What’s love?

Baby Come to Me
Song by James Ingram and Patti AustinThinkin’ back in time
When love was only in my mind
I realize, ain’t no second chance
You’ve got to hold on to romance
Don’t let it slide
There’s a special kind of magic in the air
When you find another heart that needs to share
Baby, come to me
Let me put my arms around you
This was meant to be
And I’m, oh so glad, I found you
Need you ev’ry day
Gotta have your love around me
Baby, always stay
‘Cause I can’t go back to livin’ without you
Spendin’ ev’ry dime
To keep you talkin’ on the line
That’s how it was
And all those walks together
Out in any kind of weather
Just because
There’s a brand-new way
Of looking at your life
When you know that love
Is standing by your side
Baby, come to me
Let me put my arms around you
This was meant to be
And I’m oh so glad I found you
Need you ev’ry day
Gotta have your love around me
Baby, always stay
‘Cause I can’t go back to livin’ without you
The nights can be cold
There’s a chill to ev’ry evenin’
When you’re all alone
Don’t talk anymore
‘Cause you know that I’ll be here
To keep you warm
(Oh, darling keep me warm)
Baby, come to me
(Come to me)
Let me put my arms around you
This was meant to be
(My love)
And I’m oh so, glad I found you
(Oh, so glad I found you)
Need you ev’ry day
(Ev’ry day)
Gotta have your love around me
(Gotta have you)
Baby, always stay
‘Cause I can’t go back to livin’ without you
Come to me
(Let me put my arms around you)
Let me put my arms around you
This was meant to be
(Hey, I need you ev’ry day, baby)
And I’m oh, so glad I found you
Need you ev’ry day
Gotta have your love around me
(Gotta have you and I want you to stay)
Baby, always stay
‘Cause I can’t go back to livin’ without you
Come to me
(Come to me)
Let me put my arms around you
(Love me, love me, baby)
This was meant to be
And I’m, oh so glad, I found you -

NATIONAL NO DIRTY DISHES DAY
On May 18th, National No Dirty Dishes Day suggests taking a break from your regular daily routine. There are a few options for this day.
The problem with dirty dishes is no one likes them. In fact, if we could produce a 5 course meal without dirty dishes, we probably would. Dirty dishes pose a number of problems, besides more work. In fact, dirty dishes can cause some life threatening diseases such as:
Salmonella;
Campylobacteria;
Clostridium perfringens;
Norovirus; and
Staphylococcus aureus (Staph).
Germs are the main reason having no dirty dishes on the counter or in the sink are important. However, there are benefits, too. There is something pleasing about a clean kitchen. Unlike watching television or reading a book, no one considers washing dishes to be a therapeutic for your mental health. But, it can be.Washing dishes can relieve tension. In fact, it can put you in a state of self-improving your well-being. Because doing dishes is somewhat of a simple task, the act of movement in the water can reduce stress and build a strong immune system. The benefit of lowering stress levels results in a more relaxed mind and body, resulting in a better you.
If you’re not sure what to do during National No Dirty Dishes Day, we can come up with a few reasons to help yo along. You can:
Eat all meals out. Order take out and eat your meals in the containers they come in.
Use disposable plates, cups, and silverware. To stay earth-friendly, choose ones that are biodegradable.
Fast. While not everyone can fast, occasional fasting can be good for the body.
Eat only foods that come in their own containers and eat small meals. For example, eat a banana for breakfast. Prepare hard-boiled eggs the day before and enjoy them for lunch.
Keep your dirty dishes down to a minimum by washing every dish you use as you use it. That way, no dirty dish ends up in the sink. -
NATIONAL LEARN TO SWIM DAY | THIRD SATURDAY IN MAY
National Learn to Swim Day on the third Saturday in May is dedicated to educating parents and children about water safety. Before Memorial Day Weekend and the start of summer, it is an annual opportunity for families to learn the importance and benefits of learning to swim.
There are remarkable benefits to learning to swim. Besides the obvious safety benefit, other benefits include:
We gain additional fitness opportunities when we learn to swim. No matter our age, learning to swim is an excellent cardiovascular exercise that is easy on the joints. It is also a lifelong skill that many of us will appreciate as we age.
As we learn to swim, we also gain social skills. Swimming is a social activity. It’s one that offers us opportunities to meet new people who often teach us new things.
It’s a year-round exercise. Most fitness centers have pools and when the winters get long, what better way to burn off some energy than to take the kids to the pool.
The younger we start, the more benefits we receive. From motor skills to stress relief to safety skills, swimming has it.
When it comes to children with disabilities, swimming is easily accessible and adaptable.
While swimming is enjoyed by all ages all year round, summer is a time when we take to the lakes, rivers, and outdoor pools. Because of the risks involved when one is in the water, safety, and knowledge, from the earliest age, are vital. -
NATIONAL CHEESE SOUFFLE DAY | MAY 18
Each year on May 18, we celebrate National Cheese Soufflé Day. On this tasty day, take the opportunity to enjoy this French delight.
A soufflé is a baked egg-based dish whose origins appear in France during the early 18th century. Earliest mention of the soufflé is given to French mastercook Vincent La Chapelle. However, master French chef Marie-Antoine Careme receives the honor for popularizing the dish by using a new elaborate style of creating dishes.
The soufflé’s base consists of a French creme base made of a flavored crème sauce or puree, and beaten egg whites. By combining egg whites with custer, this delicate delight will puff up into a fine, golden soufflé when baked. Many who make souffle commonly add cheese, jam, fruits, berries, chocolate and lemon. In other words, the base provides the flavor and the egg whites provide the puff it up.
Making a cheese soufflé requires cheese. The most popular cheeses to use when making a soufflé are:
Gruyère cheese
Parmesan
Cheddar
Provolone
Fontina
However, just about any kind of cheese will make an amazing soufflé. Adding complimentary herbs and spices to your soufflé dish will increase your chances of it being hit at the dinner table! How you eat your soufflé is entirely up to you. You can serve your soufflé as a tasty main course dish, or sweetened it for a dessert.Secrets to Preparing Soufflé
Creating the perfect soufflé lies within the timing of preparing the dish. Beating the egg whites into a stiff peak consistency then folding them gently into the sauce ingredients will prevent air from getting into the mixture. This process is what decides whether your soufflé will be perfectly puffy or deficiently deflated.Determining when you are serving your soufflé will decide when you should bake your souffle. A soufflé can be prepared ahead of time; however baking cannot begin until the time is determined for serving. As long as the egg whites have been whipped to the proper consistency, the mixture will hold for a few hours.

Another hot, muggy, partly, sunny day with temps going into the mid 90s with lows in the 80s. This is not at all like our usual May weather. I feel sorry for those who are working outside. Seems our Governor signed into law no breaks, no water, no shade for the men and women who are in construction, in the fields, etc.. Hope this law changes soon.
I’m OK. So far. Have pills, will travel. Still doing KP. Guess I will throw the towel in and contact the plumber this week. I did purchase the TS interlocking pans yesterday. However, I wasn’t sure about them in the beginning because the host kept saying they were made of plastic at midnight. I also tried to find where they were manufactured. I did receive something in my e-mail this morning suggesting that they were made either in China or Korea and may be dangerous because both countries still use the old Teflon materials. This source was not HSN, but rather a company that has done the necessary testing of many products over the years and is a resource I have always relied on.
The sand is reminiscent of the Cape Cod area called “Cold Storage” in Dennis, Ma.. It’s a lovely beach, especially at low tide when you can walk and walk in the ocean. on the bay side, which feels like miles and miles of walking where the water does not go above your waist. However, I am not sure if it’s still safe with the sharks liking this area as well.
Hey, we will all be smiling this week. HD is back. I think it’s Tuesday and Wednesday. Guess I will shower and dress and be with hubby. He has a new roommate and he is happy. This one loves conversation. It will keep his mind going, that’s for sure. Good day to bring the piano and stand. It’s all set to go out the front door. 😀🌴🎹 🎵🎼🎶
-
I will post new pics on the Heidi Daus Thread along with any updates. 🎈😘💕
I am glad your husband has a new room mate and I am glad he is a good one.

Sheba, the picture is perfect for your back yard and hey mine too. haha
We had a sunny day here. Yesterday on my way down the trail a rattler was across the path and blended in perfectly with the rocks. I had to back track up and down another path. It’s ok I didn’t mind. It just wouldn’t budge. Today I saw another one; it’s the season and they will be sun bathing.
Hope you had a good bike ride.
Btw, the banner on my screen doesn’t move. Scrolling works just fine and I can see everything.
I guess everyone sees it differently.
Have a great evening! -
Good evening hubby and I had a nice bike ride just enough to feel those endorphins. 😎💕😘
The night is cooling and I am so glad. So sorry about the rattler remember when my husband
found a bunch of them tangled together in the back yard. I think a rattler is the only thing
I do not care for. Wise of you to keep it moving.Taci I am glad you can see everything I am not worried things always come back into
balance.Heidi Daus will be here next week I will wait and see what she emails me. I did see some
pretty new pieces here on HSN.The Bike ride was short and sweet just what we both needed. I am going to hop in the
shower and settle down for the night. 😎 I hope you have a great evening. No worries on this cutie it is a turtle I think. LOL! 💕

MALCOLM X DAY
His birthday is May 19 (and can be celebrated), yet on this third Friday in May on the National Day Calendar we are honoring the life of civil rights activist Malcolm X. Join us as we explore his life and see how one man became an inspiration for change and equality inspiring Malcolm X Day.
Malcolm Little was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha Nebraska and was the fourth of seven children. He spent most of his childhood years in foster care after his father passed away. Malcolm dropped out of high school and would pursue odd jobs to make a living. For a short period of time, he would move to Boston to live with his sister, eventually moving to Michigan. It was here he met John Elroy Sanford, who was an aspiring comedian, later known as Redd Foxx. Interestingly, Sanford and Malcolm both had reddish hair that would earn them the nicknames Chicago Red (Sanford) and Detroit Red (Malcolm) on the streets of Detroit.
In 1946, Malcolm was arrested for larceny and burglary and would serve 10 years in prison for his crimes. During his prison sentence, Malcolm began to transform into a religious man who also had interest in politics. He would join the Nation of Islam and adapt his life around encouraging Black people to empower themselves to achieve economic and social success. It was also during this time Malcom would remove Little as his last name and add the letter “X” as reference to his identity during slavery.
After his release from prison in 1952, Malcolm X would continue following the Nation of Islam, speaking to people everywhere. In fact, he was an eloquent and charismatic speaker and quickly became one of the organizations most influential representatives. For over 12 years, he would advocate for Black people fighting racial injustices.

Each year on the third Friday in May, millions of pizza lovers across the nation join in extolling the qualities of pizza on National Pizza Party Day.
Since pizza is one of America’s favorite foods, it comes as no surprise we would celebrate a day that features a pizza party. Pizza parties bring friends together. They’re also an excellent way to reward a team or group for a job well done. Birthdays and some minor achievements are also celebrated with pizza parties, too. Although, just about any excuse can be used for a good pizza party.
In ancient Greece, the Greeks covered their bread with oils, herbs, and cheese, which some attribute to the beginning of the pizza.
In Byzantine Greek, the word was spelled “πίτα,” pita, meaning pie.
The Romans developed a pastry with a sheet of dough topped with cheese and honey, then flavored with bay leaves.
Our modern pizza had its beginning in Italy as the Neapolitan flatbread.
The original pizza used only mozzarella cheese, mainly the highest quality buffalo mozzarella variant. It was produced in the surroundings of Naples.
An estimated 2 billion pounds of pizza cheese was produced in the United States in 1997.
The first United States pizza establishment opened in New York’s Little Italy in 1905.
The largest pizza ever made, according to Guinness World Records, weighed 26,883 pounds. It was made in Norwood, South Africa, on December 8, 1990.
As far as pizza eating contests go, the winner goes to Kelvin Medina, who ate a 12-inch pizza in 23.62 seconds on April 12, 2015. -
NATIONAL GRADUATION TASSEL DAY
There is a class of students annually across the country celebrating their academic achievements and accomplishments, and this National Graduation Tassel Day on May 17th is just the start. The day celebrates not only the successes but the future of every graduate!
Each year, auditoriums and stadiums fill with proud family and friends excited to witness the commencement ceremonies of high schools, colleges, and universities. Tassels dangle from the mortarboards in the colors of their esteemed institutions. With each gown crisply pressed, graduates and families prepare for the big day.
Graduates, as your day arrives, square your shoulders, eyes steady on the future. Pause to consider all your challenges in realizing this moment. When the principal or dean reads your name and your diploma is in hand, move your tassel.
High school and undergraduate students start with their tassels on the right and move their tassels to the left upon graduation. For those earning graduate degrees and higher, the tassel starts on the left and moves to the right upon completion of their higher-level degrees. These traditions of moving the tassel have only recently gained popularity in the last 50 years.

NATIONAL BIKE TO WORK DAY | THIRD FRIDAY IN MAY
National Bike to Work Day takes place on the third Friday in May, right in the middle of National Bike Month. The observance encourages us to bike to work, but it also raises awareness of cyclists as they commute to and from work each day.
As more and more people take to bicycles for transportation to and from work, it’s important for both cyclists and drivers to share the road safely. Both must be aware of the traffic laws and follow them. More and more communities are adding bike lanes to improve safety. In the United States, from the year 2000 to 2011, the number of bicycle commuters grew by more than 47 percent. National Bike to Work Day promotes the bicycle as a healthy and safe alternative for commuting to work.
Some of the benefits of commuting to work by bicycle include:
Physical fitness – Cyclists get an aerobic workout before and after work. It’s also low impact exercise that is easy on the joints, unlike jogging.
Fuel savings – They save fuel costs, which puts more money back in their pockets.
Smaller carbon footprint – By cycling, they reduce carbon emissions resulting in cleaner air.
Automobile longevity – Get more life out of their motor vehicle by using it for more necessary trips.
Safety First
Biking is an enjoyable activity. But, like all outdoor activities, it’s important to remember safety is the key to enjoying your biking experience.Always wear a helmet.
Wear reflective clothing.
Limit distractions.
Ride with the flow of traffic, not into traffic.
Learn hand signals and use them. -
NATIONAL CHERRY COBBLER DAY | MAY 17
May 17th each year dedicates the celebration of National Cherry Cobbler Day to the delicious tart dessert that many enjoy with ice cream. Many believe the early American Colonies are where this recipe began born out of a lack of proper cooking utensils.
In the United States, cobbler refers to a variety of dishes consisting of a fruit filling (cherry being a popular choice ) covered with a batter, biscuit, or pie crust that is then baked. Some cobblers have both a top and bottom crust.
Cobblers originated in the early British American colonies. Due to the lack of suitable ingredients and proper cooking equipment, English settlers were unable to make their traditional suet puddings. They improvised by covering a stewed filling with a layer of uncooked biscuits or dumplings.
A cherry cobbler differs from a crisp as a cobbler lacks oatmeal. Sometimes the cobbler is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, too!
Cherries also offer a bounty of nutrients. For example, the antioxidants in this red fruit protect cells from damage. Because cherries pack an anti-inflammatory punch, they may help reduce the risk of heart disease, too.

Good afternoon from the dreary, rainy ‘burgh.⛈ Hope you are having a good Friday.
No workers today, HVAC not being installed until the end of the month. But I had people here this last week with estimates, measuring, etc. Tomorrow the mulch guy will be here all afternoon unless it is pouring rain. Ran to the grocery store this morning and now doing laundry. No cooking, hubs going out for hoagies. Just had pizza a few days ago.🍕
Got the PGA tournament on now.🏌️♂️ Will relax this evening and watch some hockey.🏒🍸 Hope all is well with your brother. Stay cool, lots of hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

Good evening I was shocked at the top Golfer getting arrested this morning.
Even with all that drama he still placed third in his tournament. The Golf
Association seems to think it is a big misunderstanding.More to come stay snug tonight. OZ is alright but the heat will make it hot in OZ.

There Are Worse Things I Could Do
Song by Stockard ChanningThere are worse things I could do
Than go with a boy or two
Even though the neighborhood
Thinks I’m trashy and no good
I suppose it could be true
But there are worse things I could do
I could flirt with all the guys
Smile at them and bat my eyes
Press against them when we dance
Make them think they stand a chance
Then refuse to see it through
That’s a thing I’d never do
I could stay home every night
Wait around for Mr. Right
Take cold showers every day
And throw my life away
On a dream that won’t come true
I could hurt someone like me
Out of spite or jealousy
I don’t steal and I don’t lie
But I can feel and I can cry
A fact I’ll bet you never knew
But to cry in front of you
That’s the worst thing I could do -
Love Loves To Love Love
Song by LuluThose schoolgirl days
Of telling tales and biting nails are gone
But in my mind
I know they will still live on and on
But how do you thank someone
Who has taken you from crayons to perfume?
It isn’t easy, but I’ll try
If you wanted the sky
I would write across the sky in letters
That would soar a thousand feet high
“To sir, with love”
The time has come
For closing books and long last looks must end
And as I leave
I know that I am leaving my best friend
A friend who taught me right from wrong
And weak from strong
That’s a lot to learn
What, what can I give you in return?
If you wanted the moon
I would try to make a start
But I would rather you let me give my heart
“To sir, with love” -
I’ll Be There for You
Song by The RembrandtsSo no one told you life was gonna be this way
Your job’s a joke, you’re broke
Your love life’s DOA
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month
Or even your year, but
I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I’ll be there for you
(Like I’ve been there before)
I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)
You’re still in bed at ten
And work began at eight
You’ve burned your breakfast
So far, things are going great
Your mother warned you there’d be days like these
But she didn’t tell you when the world has brought
You down to your knees that
I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I’ll be there for you
(Like I’ve been there before)
I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)
No one could ever know me
No one could ever see me
Seems you’re the only one who knows
What it’s like to be me
Someone to face the day with
Make it through all the rest with
Someone I’ll always laugh with
Even at my worst, I’m best with you, yeah
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month
Or even your year
I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
I’ll be there for you
(Like I’ve been there before)
I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)
I’ll be there for you
I’ll be there for you
I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)
