I stayed longer than planned yesterday. I was fuming on how I found hubby and how he looked. It would have been very traumatic if I had stayed home. He was somewhat delirious for a few hours Kept thinking someone was at the door to his room. The door was opened. No one there. Later, when I was about to go home, he wanted to go to the living room. It is actually the library and TV room. So I stayed watching the wrestling matches which I do not enjoy. One thing I have to say is that those guys are great athletes and actors, but it’s not “my cup of tea.” He finally went back to his room when the evening nurse came to get him. He really wanted to stay in that area even though he was falling asleep in the “chair.” It’s when I said I would return with him that he gave the OK. He fell asleep as soon as I covered him up for the night.

I have no idea what to bring tonight. I know he would like ice cream. Guess I will make a stop at Culver’s. They have a nice fudge and the ice cream is made daily. And speaking of ice cream, that new chocolate one from Turkey Hill sounds amazing. We have only two supermarkets in Bradenton, Winn Dixie and Publix where the ice cream is almost double the price of the Northeast and rarely goes on sale. I do not enjoy Walmart, yet that may be the best bet.

The sky in the East is quite dark. Probably means some rain for someone, but probably won’t reach us. This is why xango’s back went and my left ankle is giving me problems. Hubby’s back was hurting yesterday, yet he didn’t want a pillow or meds or to be in bed. Because I left so late, the night nurse phoned me at home to make sure I got there safely. I phoned him this morning. He had already contacted the sheriff’s office to make sure my car was in the driveway and I wasn’t in it.

Gees, the sun is out. What did I tell you just moments ago. It probably went North. Guess it is safe to hop into a shower. Hope you have a good afternoon. Don’t forget those sinus meds to offset the headache later.

*Taylor had “Violet” eyes and a double set of eyelashes.Taylor’s eyes are typically credited as violet, they were more likely a deep blue with an uncommon amount of melanin in the irises, which made them appear violet when she wore specific colors. This inspired her to often wear black eyeliner with blue, purple, or dark brown eyeshadow to bring out her trademark color.When she was filming Lassie Come Home (1943) at the age of 9, Taylor was accused of wearing too much mascara, and when production members tried to clean it off, they realized the dark shade was her own eyelashes. As Taylor’s Lassie co-star Roddy McDowall remembered, “Who has double eyelashes except a girl who was absolutely born to be on the big screen?”.
*In her early career, MGM studio wanted to make sure she looked and was named a star. First, they had two baby teeth pulled out, then ensured she wore braces to correct her teeth. Although the studio wished to shape her eyebrows, dye her hair, and give her a new screen name, Virginia, both Taylor and her mother expressly refused.
*She was a close friend of Montgomery Clift until his death in 1966. They met for the first time when Paramount decided that she had to accompany him to the premiere of The Heiress (1949) because they were both to star in the upcoming A Place in the Sun (1951). They liked each other right away. Clift used to call her “Bessie Mae”. When he had a car accident a few years later that disfigured him, he had just left a party at Liz’s house. It was she who found him first, got into the wreck and removed some teeth from his throat that threatened to choke him.According to biographer Charles Casillo, Taylor never loved any of the many men she bedded and married — including even Richard Burton — as much as she loved Clift. Even Burton knew it, once telling ‘Monty’: ‘She likes me, but she loves you’.

*Elizabeth Taylor starred in over 50 featured films and was rated one of the most popular stars of classical Hollywood cinema. According to rankings movie, Taylor’s top five films are Butterfield 8, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Cleopatra, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Father of the Bride.
*She was the first celebrity to create her own fragrance.Taylor stated that she dreamed of having her own perfume 25 years before she really did it. She was the first celebrity to create her own perfume line in 1987, and she called the perfume “Passion.” A few years later, in 1991, she came up with another line known as “White Diamonds,” in collaboration with Elizabeth Srden, Inc. Her perfumes are still one of the most popular with making a $1 billion revenue worldwide.
*Along with Julie Andrews, she was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II on New Year’s Eve, 1999.

I always wear my hair up and sometimes with a big straw hat when I am working outdoors.
I have to put Poppy little shoes on when we go for walks during certain times.

that has come in handy.
