Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I’m glad your cousin is finally out of the hospital and on the mend. I know things will not be the same when she returns home. I know her tasks are daunting and hard to face. With family and friends she will get through this. I hope someone from the family will be with her today and through the evenings. I know you will be on the phone with her in the days ahead. Take care of yourself as well. You have been through a lot the past two/three years.

@Sheba
Hello Sheba, we had a beautiful day today, filled with sunshine warm in the mid seventies and no humidity. I had the patio door open, windows open and aired out the house.
No baking today, made bread last night , then turned on the self-clean oven. It took 4 1/2 hours, then 90 minutes more to cool down. It was 2:30 in the morning the oven was beeping way to be turned off from self-cleaning.
In Virginia and in Jacksonville I wore a wool Naval coat that my hubby had from the Navy. They had changed uniforms, the coat was beautiful and very warm. I went to the fabric store, replaced the buttons, and made it stylish. That’s when I used to be 116 pounds
.
Wonderful news, your cousin being released from the hospital. I can’t imagine how she must be feeling. You are right, it is Hart breaking being involved in such an accident. And having to plan the funeral of one’s spouse. I pray that the Lord provides her courage and strengt.
I can smell the aroma from your pot roast, it yummy
. I will be knocking on your door and bringing Oodie. When Poppy starts barking away, that’s us.
Stay warm Sheba.

Thank you for the birthday greetings with the beautiful emojis. Since we are out and about tomorrow for a doctor appointment in the afternoon, will do the celebrating later in the day. Not sure where we will eat, suffice to say probably somewhere in Sarasota since I need to visit the Farmer’s Market. I love the smell of homemade bread and I surmise that is another reason to visit the market. All their bread is made daily by the Amish along with fresh made salads and soups. Their fish area is freshly caught and the prices unbeatable when you compare them to Winn Dixie and Publix. I think they will be announcing another new market. Not sure where this time.
I still need a new frig and my dryer died, so guess it will be three appliances. Lowe’s is having a sale and will stop to see what they have. Hope you and your hubby enjoyed the day off. There is another one coming next month. No cleaning today. Will start again on Thursday.
Take care of yourself and enjoy the rest of the week. Warmer temps are here. To stay??? Still winter, so not sure.

Such beauty in those gifs. Thanks so much Sheba. We are home. Since hubby has a doctor appointment tomorrow will celebrate all day with dinner somewhere. Not sure which one. Hopefully hubby will feel all right to do the myriad of other things as well. I have an oodie and hubby to do list. Only one not too much fun.
I received an e-mail today to contact the electrician for an appointment. Unfortunately, he needs to wait for a new panel and then will contact us for a date and time. Have not heard from the roofer yet. Maybe that’s OK, since we have enough on our plate at the moment.
Hopefully, you will have a January thaw with warmer temps. I wasn’t outside today, but assume our temps were in the low 70s. Tomorrow the forecast is the same. At least the back is better and that is a good sign no storms are in sight. Yeah!!!!

May you have this happiness throughout this year, with lots of health.
I hope you and your hubby went out to a n8ce restaurant to celebrate and enjoy a tasty meal.

Warm but dreary day with on and off rain.
Ran a few errands early and spent the day looking at furniture online. Plan to hit a couple stores tomorrow.
The game was close all evening, we were lucky to win.
They are now halfway through the season and need to get things going.
I am asking God to watch over your cousin and to give her strength.
I hope she has family nearby to help her through this trying time.
Please take care of yourself, sending hugs to you and Poppy.

Feeling Jealous
Jealousy is a common human feeling and usually stems from a place of lack in our own lives.
Jealousy is one of the toughest feelings we come up against in our lives. There is not much worse than this aching sense that somehow life has been unfair to us, while amply rewarding someone else. It’s even worse if that someone else is present in our daily lives, making it difficult for us to get the space we need to feel and heal our pain. We may be jealous of a sibling, a dear friend, or even famous personalities. We may even face the challenge of feeling jealous of our spouse, our child, or one of our parents. Whatever the case, we can normalize our experience by understanding that, as painful as it is, jealousy is a common human feeling.Nevertheless, it is important that we not revel in our jealousy for too long, feeding it with inner talk or gossip with others. If we do, we run the risk of losing ourselves to its negative power. Jealousy has something good to offer us, though, and that is information about our own heart’s desire. When we are jealous of certain people, we want what they have, and if we are to be conscious, we must acknowledge that. In this way, we discover what we want for ourselves, which is the first step to getting it. It may be a certain kind of relationship or a career. Whatever it is, it is possible that we could create it for ourselves, in our own lives, if we are able to honor our own desires.
Of course, there are times when we cannot heal our jealousy in this way, and then the lesson may be about acceptance and the understanding that our path is different from the paths of those around us. It may be hard to see now, but perhaps it will eventually be clear why our life has taken its particular path. In the end, the best cure for jealousy is the recognition that the life we have is full of its own meaning and beauty, utterly unique to us—a gift that could never be found in the life of another. Amen!
