Conversation – 18

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I hope your sinuses/cold is starting to ease up and you are beginning to feel better. While doing the MB, I am masking up because of the dust. Everything is unplugged.
Before I forget, I gave some incorrect info on the Congee. You make the rice like you normally would. You have a choice. Either you can take some out while it is still moist or you can let it cook through. Congee should be relatively moist, but not as moist as soup. Then you can add whatever you like. Tonight I made the rice. I also had some frozen shrimp in the freezer and fresh clams still in the shell in the frig. I brought vegetable broth to a boil. Added the clams and shrimp along with fresh broccoli, snow peas, carrots, and water chestnuts. I used a scoop to get the veggies out and the shrimp and waited on the clams to open up. I then scooped them out as they opened. I used a mesh, metal scooper that the Orientals use for taking items out of the wok. They can be found in any retail store. Usually made of metal or stainless steel. If you have an Oriental market nearby, they are usually less expensive and that also includes other utensils as well. I find myself going down the aisles where the pots and pans are as well as other homegood items. Somewhere in Orlando is an Oriental bakery. Next time we are in the area I will google the place and try to make a stop, unless, of course, we get lost.
I had to go out to the car this evening to fetch some bottled water. It was a tad warmer. The plants are still undercover, but tomorrow, the temps should hit the low 70s. These last few days made me really think about heading North during the winter season. I have a feeling my blood may be a little too thin to enjoy the cold temps. Especially when I went to the shed yesterday and within seconds I was shivering. To think I used to enjoy this season when you could dress in layers.
Well, enjoy the rest of your evening. I see Colorado is looking at a couple of inches of snow tomorrow through Wednesday. Wonder if it will reach New England.
