Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Never Tear Us Apart
Song by INXSDon’t ask me
What you know is true
Don’t have to tell you
I love your precious heart
I
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never tear us apart
We could live
For a thousand years
But if I hurt you
I’d make wine from your tears
I told you
That we could fly
‘Cause we all have wings
But some of us don’t know why
I was standing
You were there
Two worlds collided
And they could never, ever tear us apart
I (Don’t ask me)
I was standing (You know it’s true)
Mm, you were there (Worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (We’re shining through)
And they could never tear us apart
You (Don’t ask me)
You were standing (You know it’s true)
I was there (Worlds collided)
Two worlds collided (We’re shining through)
And they could never tear us apart
I-I-I
I was standing
You were there -

I think you would have fun in the Arcade. No brains needed. Great relaxation and worried free. It doesn’t matter if you are at the top in the middle or at the end. It’s fun to just sit back. Trivia is fun and everyone wins. Maybe you will join us some Friday night. Take care and thank goodness your son is OK.

@oodiebom
Hello Oodiebom, when I lived in Orlando I would often go to an Asian market off of SandLake Rd. They had lots of products from all over, many from Japan.
You mentioned I should write all down. I enjoy writing but, I am not very good at it. I lack vocabulary when putting my thoughts down.
We are going to get some real cold days soon. I hope that February is a warm month.
I know you are careful out there. If you can get, (if you don’t already have) a N95 mask they are better. Take care Oodie. -
No shopping today. I had a real bad sinus attack and for the most part stayed in bed. For some reason I have developed a cough and taking a sinus pill does squelch it. This is something new and may require I see an allergist if it keeps up. Then again, I surmise the trees are getting ready to sprout some new leaves. The allergy count today was over 10. Never seen it that high.
I enjoyed the video from xango and hearing her stories brought back memories of my travels. When I was single I did go overseas alone, but supposedly joined a singles group. Back in those days that group was old enough to be my grandparents. But the best part was meeting such wonderful people within the group and those from the hotel. There was one couple in that group that felt it was their duty to be my chaperone. I remember one occasion when I was in Venice, the fellow at the front desk started a conversation with me. He was quite friendly and asked me out. I accepted. Glad to have someone near my own age for a change. It was a wonderful day in which he showed me many places in Venice. We went by foot and gondola. Later he brought me to his parents home. It was in one of the old buildings. Outside didn’t look like much, but inside was like a castle. We had dinner together and then we retreated to their living room where we just talked and talked for hours. It was after 4 am when I returned to the hotel and lo and behold my chaperones were waiting for me in the lobby. Neither of us had any sleep since our sightseeing was scheduled for 8 am. And that night we all had tickets for the show from a theater gondola thanks to my friend from the night before. This is where all the gondolas tie up together and then ropes from the theater kept us all in place. It was a day and night to remember. And, years later, I met that couple. Turned out it was my husband’s Aunt and Uncle. Go figure…..
It was a great Friday night evening. Enjoy your marshmallows. Yes, I do enjoy them when burnt and the inside is soft and gooey. It’s been years since I’ve tasted one. But memories do linger on. Hope you and Poppy bundle up. Stay warm.
Tonight I will probably dream of traffic lights, hills and mountains, and chimneys. All thanks to “recaptcha.”

Xango, your husband had quite a long Navy career. After this pandemic is under control maybe you can go for a visit. It looks lovely! I have never been to S. America.

@Sheba
Hi sheba, I am alright. I hope you, Poppy and your husband are keeping warm. My how cold the US is this Winter. My cousin said Brazil is very hot, it’s of course Summer now. They have no air conditioning nor heat. And lately in the Winter the Southern region has gotten very cold.
I made hubby a lentil sausage thick soup today. With carrots, celery and onions diced very small. And I made sweet potatoes baked in the oven cut in half with Olive oil until the caramelized. And sauteed shrimp with onions, peppers and garlic.
A little after 7PM I decided to make a cheese snack. It’s a Brazilian snack called Roscas de Polvilho. It’s made from Tapioca starch, made with the white , soft manioc starch. There are two kinds called the sweet and the sour. One is soft and thinner, the other is thicker, kinda of course. The recipe is almost like the one for Paõ de Queijo (cheese bread) .
Stay warm and be safe Sheba.
