Forgot to mention that I love flowers anytime. A bouquet can brighten up any room. Besides, Febreze doesnot smell like the real thing. Candles???? May be too sweet. Thanks for the bouquet. I have a vase that they can easily fit. My dining room table will look magnificent.

Tomorrow the pegs for the shelf should arrive from Amazon. The 6mm looked like they may work, but ordered the 5mm since that hole is too small for a 6. Just hope I’m right. The pegs are L shaped and hopefully will do the trick at the ends. I really dislike things when they don’t come together.

There is a 70% chance of rain tomorrow. It will be a good time to get the inside of the car cleared and be ready for the servicing on Wednesday. On the return we will make a stop at the Farmer’s Market, Costco and with any luck Trader Joe’s. They are all on route home in somewhat of a straight line. Not sure of Aldi’s. They have my favorite candy back—truffles. Belgian chocolate is one of my favorites. Not to worry, the box is small and I only purchase one. Then again, my will power is low this week.

It’s after 8 here on the East Coast. Time for dinner. A light dinner. I fell asleep and awoke to darkness and thought it was Tuesday. Go figure.

Hello Sheba, I hope you and Poppy are staying warm. It was a day full of sun, in the mid fifties. Last night we had frost all over, 31 degrees. Yes, cold for us thin skinned Floridians.
I baked some savory snacks to have tonight and to keep the kitchen warm.
I am ready for a Florida Spring, that means summer in many parts.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

As you know, I am not a huge football fan but I kind of figured it would be a good game. It was a GREAT game!!!✨👍✨ Probably one of the greatest in history. Just when you thought one team would win, the other team scored. My mouth was wide open.😲 Can’t believe the Super Bowl could be any better. Two class acts for sure. I almost didn’t want either one to lose. It was hard to relax after that was over.😔 On to next week…..

More snow today❄❄ and temps in the teens and twenties, not good for any melting. We will be down to 0 again by Thursday.🥶 I do not enjoy this time of year.😣 Blowing kisses back to Poppy.👄

Learning To Follow

When we approach children with the awareness that they can teach us, we automatically become more present ourselves.

As grown-ups, we often approach children with ideas about what we can teach them about this life to which they have so recently arrived. It’s true that we have important information to convey, but children are here to teach us just as much as we are here to teach them. They are so new to the world and far less burdened with preconceived notions about the people, situations, and objects they encounter. They do not avoid people on the basis of appearance, nor do they regard shoes as having only one function. They can be fascinated for half an hour with a pot and a lid, and they are utterly unself-conscious in their emotional expressions. They live their lives fully immersed in the present moment, seeing everything with the open-mindedness born of unknowing. This enables them to inhabit a state of spontaneity, curiosity, and pure excitement about the world that we, as adults, have a hard time accessing. Yet almost every spiritual path calls us to rediscover this way of seeing. In this sense, children are truly our gurus.

When we approach children with the awareness that they are our teachers, we automatically become more present ourselves. We have to be more present when we follow, looking and listening, responding to their lead. We don’t lapse so easily into the role of the director of activities, surrendering instead to having no agenda at all. As we allow our children to determine the flow of play, they pull us deeper into the mystery of the present moment. In this magical place, we become innocent again, not knowing what will happen next and remembering how to let go and flow.

Since we must also embody the role of loving guide to our children, they teach us how to transition gracefully from following to leading and back again. In doing so, we learn to dance with our children in the present moment, shifting and adjusting as we direct the flow from pretending to be kittens wearing shoes on our heads to making sure everyone is fed and bathed. AMEN! ✨✨

Hubby and I both watched the entire game I have never seen anything like the
last 3 minutes of a game and it turned out like it did. The Team is already working
on the next Coach said they do not have time to celebrate yet. Patrick Mahomes
and his team mates are excellent. ✨✨ I like how Patrick ran across the field to shake
hands with Josh Allen what a classy thing to do. ✨✨
