I do not think anyone can really help. Our doctor’s Assistant went up and above trying to get an appointment sooner rather than later. She contacted the cardiologist directly and we are on a wait list in case there any openings. The appointment with the Orthopedist was December 22nd. Being that it was a few days prior to Christmas, I contacted the office either the day after or the next day. Nothing was done. My appointment was the following week and though the doctor was in a dither I was able to ask about hubby’s heart and if there was a problem he would need a cardiologist prior to surgery. He said he would get right on it. I waited a few days and when there was no phone call from anyone called and left a message and spoke to the Assistant. She said she would get on it. This went on until last week when I mentioned that the surgery was three weeks away. Two days ago I received a phone call from the cardiologist office that our physician recommended saying there was an opening, but it was three days prior to surgery. Not enough time to get the necessary info. I contacted the orthopedist and left a message for the assistant. Now you have the whole scenario. The reason why we cannot get an appointment is that we have the snowbirds who made their appointments prior to returning to Florida. It looks like I would have had the same problem the beginning of January as I do now. Right now, I am not sure if we will be able to make the surgery the end of this month. Surgery cannot be performed unless we see the Cardiologist. Yes, I’m fuming, but my hands are tied. I really do not want to spend the summer here. I need to be North. We were looking at leaving here after Easter. So that would be by the first week in May. I could do this in Boston, but that means finding a hotel who can shuttle us to the doctor appointment and to the hospital. But, hubby cannot travel by car and I’m not sure of flying. Me. I cannot fly because of the hearing problem with the Eustachian tube. It is now a catch 22. A;ll I can do is take one day at a time and hope for the best. Meanwhile we will have fun and will get this house in order. (need to see the librarian)

There was no return call from the Cardiologist yesterday or even today. I contacted our physician’s office and explained the situation. They contacted the original physicians and we are on a wait list. I contacted the group that the orthopedist assistant recommended. They have 2 offices. One is the same place where I go for the Mams and the other is close to the hospital and our doctor’s office. I left a second message at the other place. Both times were lengthy recordings. I did get the impression that they were trying to get the reception area to no avail. I gave them all the necessary things they asked for. Hubby has a doctor appointment Monday afternoon and I will also mention this to our physician. And yes, I even asked for the surgery to be rescheduled. There may be an opening. but two or three days prior to surgery is not good. Since we are in Trivia now, will write more later.

Club Sheba Valentine’s Day Weekend Edition 🌹🌹💕

Good Afternoon Sheba, I hope you and Poppy are staying warm. We are having a sunny and very warm day. We are going to get a cold front coming down for a few days and then back up to the warm days of mid-seventies.
Last night I got myself a Valentine’s gift❤, HSN sent me an alert that I have on my favorites. The Wolfgang Puck 13 piece Stainless steel pots and lids. Its price has been reduced lower then a Today’s Special price that they had a while back.
My husband likes to cook with my pots and when I need it’s in use, so I got me some more 😄.
Its Friday and Trivia tonight, I will see you there. How about a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and perhaps some cheese to go with it?

Almost a spring day in the ‘burgh but will be colder through Monday. In the 50’s next Wednesday when mom and sis get back so I’m glad they won’t come home to snow. When sis lived in Hawaii, I went from a bathing suit and sandals to a winter coat, boots and snow in one day – so depressing.🙁

I don’t need candy and flowers for V Day. After all these years, I’m just happy to hear my husband say I love you.🥰 Blowing kisses to my boy.💋🐶 Sending love back to you, hubby, Poppy and family.💗💕💖💘

Saying Goodbye To A Home

When leaving a home, it’s important to honor the time you have spent within its walls and the life you lived there.

When we move from one residence to another, we often get so caught up in the forward thrust of where we are going that we forget to properly say goodbye to the home we are leaving behind. Yet saying goodbye is an important part of moving forward. It gives us a sense of completion so that we are able to fully inhabit our new space, having left nothing of ourselves in the old one. In this way, we honor the space that has held and nurtured us. At the same time, we cleanse it and empty it of our energy so that the new residents can make the space theirs.

Plan a walk through your home that begins and ends at the front door. Ideally, you will be alone or accompanied only by a person who shared the space with you. Prepare yourself mentally to be as present as you can during this process. As you enter the house, you might say, “I have come to thank you for being my home and to say goodbye.” You might touch the walls with your hands as you move through the house, or you might burn sage as an offering, as well as an energy cleanser. Spend some time in each room expressing your gratitude and gathering or releasing any lingering energy from the room. As you do this, you are freeing your home to embrace its new occupants. Remember to visit your outside spaces as well. Plants are especially sensitive to the energy around them and will appreciate your consideration.

As you make your way back to the front door, know that you have completed your final journey through your home and that you have honored and blessed it with this ritual of farewell. As you close and lock the door behind you, say one last goodbye. Now you can walk freely into your future and fully inhabit the new spaces that will keep you safe and warm. AMEN! ✨✨
