Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, Sir Paul is on a tour and will be in Knoxville TN so maybe that would work for you? In LA its at the multi billion $ stadium that the Super Bowl was at Sofi. I prefer to stay out of LA. He also is at Fenway and I would love to go there for it. Not sure about traveling yet. Not sure we will go.
What a great question! Sheba I might need to think about it Queen/ Fleetwood Mac come to mind.
haha you remember the duck shoes… Sherry got them too. I still have them and they are in great shape because we do not get a lot of rain. The real reason though is that my feet have grown. Has this happened to anyone else? OK and so has my nose and I am not pinocchio.
Really glad you ❤ the jackets because I know of your great taste.
Olympics end Sunday. -
Peace Out Peeps! Have a wonderful evening and stay warm. ✨✨

I will just sit there with my arms cross and my long legs crossed and I will give them a look

Guilty
Song by Barbra Streisand and Barry GibbH-a-a-a-a
Shadows falling baby we stand alone
Out on the street anybody you meet got a heartache of their own
(It oughta be illegal)
Make it a crime to be lonely or sad
(It oughta be illegal)
You got a reason for livin’
You battle on with the love you’re livin’ on
You gotta be mine… we take it away
It’s gotta be night and day just a matter of time
And we got nothing to be guilty of
Our love will climb any mountain near or far we are
And we never let it end…
We are devotion
And we got nothing to be sorry for
Our love is one in a million
Eyes can see that we… got a highway to the sky…
I don’t wanna hear your goodbye
A-a-a-h
Ooh… woo… ooh…
Pulse’s racing darling how grand we are
Little by little we meet in the middle there’s danger in the dark
(It oughta be illegal)
Make it a crime to be out in the cold
(It oughta be illegal)
You got a reason for livin’
You battle on with the love you’re buildin’ on
You gotta be mine we take it away
It’s gotta be night and day just a matter of time
And we got nothing to be guilty of
Our love will climb any mountain near or far we are
And we never let it end
We are devotion
And we got nothing to be sorry for
Our love is one in a million
E-y-e-s eyes can see
That we (that we) that we got a highway to the sky
I don’t wanna hear your goodbye
Don’t wanna hear your goodbye
I don’t wanna hear your
And we got nothing and we got nothing to be guilty of
Our love (our love) will climb any mountain near or far near or far we are we are
And we never let it end
Oh… we never
We are devotion
And we got nothing to be sorry for
Our love (our love) is one in a million
E-y-e-s eyes can see
That we (that we) that we got a highway to the sky
We got a highway
We got highway ay-ay…
Don’t wanna hear your
And we got nothing to be guilty of guilty of
Our love (our love) will climb any mountain
Near or far, oh
We are
That we
And we never let it end -
Oh , dear I hope you get it and soon. Please get some rest. 😘🌹

Somewhere
Song by Barbra StreisandSomeday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere
There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There’s a time for us
Someday there’ll time for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to learn and time to care
Someday, somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find there’s a way of forgiving
Somewhere, somewhere, somewhere
There’s a place for us, a time and a place for us
Hold my hand and we’re half way there
Hold my hand and I’ll take you there
Somehow, someday, somewhere
That were nice
Well you’re all my friends
I love you for being here, thank you
Thank you
I wanna welcome you to my home
I don’t mind telling you that, erm
I’ve spent more than a few sleepless nights
Wondering what I could possibly do
That would be worth 5000 dollars
And erm, then I figured out that erm
I would be singing 3, 924 notes
And that comes over a little up to a dollar a note
And you know some notes were longer
And so they’re worth about three dollars
Some are shorter 50 cents but you know, it averages out
I’m really glad you are here tonight
This place is very special to me
Here I’m constantly reminded of the
Awesome balance of nature
And how precious it all is
And maybe that’s why I felt like
This was the perfect place to gather
Surrounded by beauty, life, and lots of good friends, you know -

“Don’t Rain On My Parade”Don’t tell me not to live
Just sit and putter
Life’s candy and the sun’s
A ball of butter
Don’t bring around a cloud
To rain on my parade
Don’t tell me not to fly
I’ve simply got to
If someone takes a spill
It’s me and not you
Who told you you’re allowed
To rain on my parade!
I’ll march my band out
I’ll beat my drum
And if I’m fanned out
Your turn at bat, sir
At least I didn’t fake it
Hat, sir, I guess I didn’t make it!
But whether I’m the rose
Of sheer perfection
Or freckle on the nose
Of life’s complexion
The cinder or the shiny apple of its eye
I gotta fly once
I gotta try once
Only can die once, right, sir?
Ooh, life is juicy
Juicy, and you’ll see
I’m gonna have my bite, sir!
Get ready for me, love
‘Cause I’m a “comer”
I simply gotta march
My heart’s a drummer
Don’t bring around a cloud
To rain on my parade!
I’m gonna live and live now
Get what I want, I know how
One roll for the whole shebang
One throw, that bell will go clang
Eye on the target, and wham
One shot, one gun shot, and bam
Hey, Mister Arnstein, here I am!I’ll march my band out
I will beat my drum
And if I’m fanned out
Your turn at bat, sir
At least I didn’t fake it
Hat, sir, I guess I didn’t make it
Get ready for me, love
‘Cause I’m a “comer”
I simply gotta march
My heart’s a drummer
Nobody, no, nobody
Is gonna rain on my parade! -
The Way We Were
Song by Barbra StreisandMemories
Light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories
Of the way we were
Scattered pictures
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again
Tell me, would we?
Could we?
Memories
May be beautiful and yet
What’s too painful to remember
We simply to choose to forget
So it’s the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember
The way we were
The way we were -
What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life?
Song by Barbra StreisandWhat are you doing the rest of your life
North and South and
East and West of your life
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me
All the seasons and the times of your days
Are the nickels and the dimes of your days
Let the reasons and the rhymes of your days
All begin and end with me
I want to see your face in every kind of light
In fields of gold and forests of the night
And when you stand
Before the candles on a cake
Oh, let me be the one to hear
The silent wish you make
Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes
In a world of love you keep in your eyes
I’ll awaken what’s asleep in your eyes
It may take a kiss or two
Through all of my life
Summer, winter, spring and fall of my life
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all my life with you -
Well, after yesterday’s showdown with a Radiologist hubby and I decided that we would rather wait to see a Cardiologist prior to surgery to see what all the hooplah is about. We really do not wish our physician to step in and sign everything off if things are not right. Being scared is one thing but another could be a huge disappointment. Hubby still has a road to travel to get back to normal or whatever normal is and I do not want anything to jeopardize the amount of progress he has made in six months. Going through the process yesterday reminded me of an episode on Discovery *ER program) where a physician thought he was above everyone else in the hospital when he refused to work on a patient that was being worked on. His heart had stopped numerous times, but the nurses and doctors worked hard and brought him back. The last scene showed that he was again being worked on, only this time he had reached the surgical area and again the cardiologist refused and then chenged her mind. The end result was that he pulled through and is healthy. As I said yesterday, we have an appointment in the afternoon with the van. I am hoping to connect with the Assistant to bring her up to date and see if we can postpone the surgery so he can be seen by a cardiologist. I really think it is that important.
Here’s a scenario you do not see often. A very dear friend of ours lives in Michigan. She sent a card to us mailing it December 26, 2021. We received it today. If mail could talk…….Hmmm…
Sounds almost like the shipping problems facing HSN. Evidently the post office have new employees or new trainees trying to help as workers recover from Covid. No shopping accomplished today. Need to go out tomorrow. Need to fill van’s gas tank. It is sooo hungry………Gas is $3.49/gal here.

Taxi
Song by Harry ChapinIt was raining hard in ‘Frisco
I needed one more fare to make my night
A lady up ahead waved to flag me down
She got in at the light
“Oh where you going to, my lady blue
It’s a shame you ruined your gown in the rain”
She just looked out the window
She said, “Sixteen Parkside Lane”
Something about her was familiar
I could swear I’d seen her face before
But she said, “I’m sure you’re mistaken”
And she didn’t say anything more
It took a while, but she looked in the mirror
And she glanced at the license for my name
A smile seemed to come to her slowly
It was a sad smile, just the same
And she said, “How are you Harry?”
I said, “How are you Sue?
Through the too many miles and the too little smiles
I still remember you.”
It was somewhere in a fairy tale
I used to take her home in my car
We learned about love in the back of the Dodge
The lesson hadn’t gone too far
You see she was gonna be an actress
And I was gonna learn to fly
She took off to find the footlights
And I took off to find the sky
Oh, I’ve got something inside me
To drive a princess blind
There’s a wild man, wizard
He’s hiding in me, illuminating my mind.
Oh, I’ve got something inside me
But it’s not what my life’s about,
Cause I’ve been letting my outside tide me
Over ’till my time, runs out
Baby’s so high that she’s skying
Yes she’s flying, afraid to fall
I’ll tell you why baby’s crying
Cause she’s dying, aren’t we all
There was not much more for us to talk about
Whatever we had once was gone
So I turned my cab into the driveway
Past the gate and the fine trimmed lawns
And she said we must get together
But I knew it’d never be arranged
And she handed me twenty dollars for a two fifty fare
She said, “Harry, keep the change.”
Well another man might have been angry
And another man might have been hurt
But another man never would have let her go
I stashed the bill in my shirt
And she walked away in silence
It’s strange how you never know
But we’d both gotten what we’d asked for
Such a long, long time ago
You see she was gonna be an actress
And I was gonna learn to fly
She took off to find the footlights
And I took off for the sky
And here, she’s acting happy
Inside her handsome home
And me, I’m flying in my taxi
Taking tips and getting stoned
I go flying so high, when I’m stoned
