Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Sheba, here goes post #2. Hope it doesn’t go poof.
Glad you and Shoelady like the jackets.
It was hard to decide on a size for the Bernardo EcoPlume Packable Quilted Jacket because there aren’t too many details. After reading online reviews I decided to size up. I didn’t have to do this with Laurier and it worked out well. I don’t usually size up in jackets. The packable part is a nice feature.
Watched some Skating tonight and it was a cry fest. Agree with Tara Lapinski and Johnny Weirs points who both looked lovely! The Skaters are so young. You know about the HD Sale right? The typing here is off so i am signing out. Good night stay warm out there.

Let It Go
Idina MenzelThe snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
And it looks like I’m the queen
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I’ve tried
Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don’t feel, don’t let them know
Well, now they know
Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don’t care what they’re going to say
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway
It’s funny how some distance makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me can’t get to me at all
It’s time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me
I’m free
Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You’ll never see me cry
Here I stand and here I stay
Let the storm rage on
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I’m never going back, the past is in the past
Let it go, let it go
When I’ll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand in the light of day
Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway -

@Sheba
Good Afternoon Sheba, I hope you are staying warm and Poppy too. I saw on the hews the storms in your area and others are having. It’s unbelievable we live in the same country, we are at 86 degrees right now. And tonight the weather is calling to be 70. I wish I could send warm Sunshine your way. This hot weather we are having, makes me wonder if in March we will have some very cold days don here.
Sheba my Wolfgang Puck pots arrived, a huge box. I finished unpacking a while ago, and they are beautiful. When I told hubby I had ordered more pots his reaction was, where are going to put them? So I made room in the walk in pantry. I already had two full sets of Wolfgang Puck pots, the Bistro and the Bistro Elite and use them everyda. Plus pots that belong to my mom we got in the late seventies, very good pots and are still in very good condition. My brother was selling them, and it came with a complete set of dinnerware, with serving bowls, a complete coffee set. I have it still, don’t think it’s made anymore and a very nice flower pattern.
Take care Sheba and stay safe and warm. -
Taci, get the jacket, too cute!👍👍👍👍

Good afternoon – I just saw your neck of the woods on the Weather Channel. Good grief, things look nasty!🥶❄ We have some rain today, turning colder tonight and some snow showers tomorrow morning. I think this major snow storm will miss us unless they changed the forecast. Will check it out on the evening news. Stay warm, put Poppy on the toilet!🤣
Yesterday I woke up with swelling and redness all over my eyelids and underneath. I looked like I was in a horror flick.🥺 Threw out my mascara and the facial wipes I used, cleaned some brushes and took an allergy pill. I have been having a lot of watering on and off in one eye for a while but this looked like a reaction from something. Better today, will try a new cleanser and continue with the allergy pills. Always something……😖
Mom and sis are back after a two hour delay in Philly with a plane problem. All went well on the cruise and they were not ready to come home. Because it was late, I will get all the details when I go up there but they had no problems at all on the ship. They were late leaving the first day so they skipped the private island the next day and all on board got a $75 credit which was nice. They were able to go on all the islands.🌞🌴 Reality is setting in today.😭

Making Our Best Decisions
Sometimes decision making is best done after marinating with all the information, creating a decision that is made with full intention.
Sometimes when we need to make a decision, we can become overwhelmed or feel pressured into coming to a conclusion immediately. Often, a decision isn’t required right away, and the sense of urgency we feel is merely a limitation that we’ve placed upon ourselves. Once we’ve determined that we do have the time to make a wise choice for ourselves, we can release the pressure with a deep breath, like steam from a pressure cooker, and proceed to make the best use of our time.
The best first step may be to gather all the facts we can find. Once we have all the logical information we need, we can allow ourselves to sit with it and soak it up. Like a good recipe, we can allow ourselves to marinate in the juices of intellectual understanding while also adding our own spices made up of our feelings, our intuition, and any other considerations. We can taste the recipe for readiness as we go in order to decide if more time or ingredients are needed. We might want to take time to visualize ourselves playing out the various scenarios to see which feels the best, remind ourselves of our goals, or merely sit silently in meditation, listening for guidance. Any of these techniques can add depth and flavor to the recipe of our decisions.
We can allow ourselves to sit with our choices for whatever length of time is needed, whether it is a day, a week, a month or longer. Doing so gives our hearts, minds and spirits the chance to align, allowing us to make a decision that is right for us. Other times, we may need to let the wisdom of the universe unfold for us at its own rate, allowing our growth and realizations to sync up with the universe’s secret and essential ingredients so that all of the flavors are ready at the same time. When we allow ourselves the time to sit and allow understanding to sink in, we can co-create the best decision possible for ourselves and for everyone involved. Amen! ✨✨
