Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Peace Out Peeps! ✨✨Stay safe.

September
Earth, Wind & FireDo you remember
The 21st night of September?
Love was changin’ the minds of pretenders
While chasin’ the clouds away
Our hearts were ringin’
In the key that our souls were singin’
As we danced in the night, remember
How the stars stole the night away, oh, yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
Ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da, ba-du
Ba-du-da, ba-du, ba-du-da
My thoughts are with you
Holdin’ hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love, remember
How we knew love was here to stay
Now December
Found the love that we shared in September
Only blue talk and love, remember
The true love we share today
Hey, hey, hey
Ba-dee-ya, say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya, dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya, never was a cloudy day
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
The bell was ringin’, oh, oh
Our souls were singin’
Do you remember never a cloudy day? Yow
There was a
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), never was a cloudy day
And we’ll say
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), say, do you remember?
Ba-dee-ya (dee-ya, dee-ya), dancin’ in September
Ba-dee-ya (dee ya, dee-ya), golden dreams were shiny days
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya!
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya
Ba-dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya, dee-ya! -

This Masquerade
Song by George BensonAre we really happy here
With this lonely game we play
Looking for words to say
Searching but not finding
Understanding anywhere
We’re lost in a masqueradeBoth afraid to say we’re just too far away
From being close together from the start
We tried to talk it over but the words got in the way
We’re lost inside this lonely game we playThoughts of weeping disappear
Every time I see your eyes
No matter how hard I tryTo understand the reasons
That we carry on this way
We’re lost in a masqueradeWe both afraid to say we’re just too far away
From being close together from the start
We tried to talk it over but the words got in the way
We’re lost inside this lonely game we playThoughts of weeping disappear
Every time I see your face
No matter how hard I tryTo understand the reasons
Why we carry on this way
We’re lost in a masquerade -

Happy Fat Tuesday to you!!✨🎭 We had a very nice, fat lunch with SIL today. Went to a semi-Italian restaurant and, of course, I had Italian – eggplant parmesan with penne and a salad.🍝🥗 Figured I may as well splurge before Lent.
Sis leaves on the 14th and she did not book a trip back because airfares right now were high.✈ She is waiting to see if there are sales after spring break is over. Mom’s birthday is the end of April so not sure if she will be back for that or wait until May/June. I didn’t ask because I don’t want her to think I want her to rush back to take care of mom. But, yes, it is much easier when she is here since I don’t have to run back and forth a couple times a week.
Enjoy your nice weather, we are up and down all week. I think we may hit 70 the beginning of next week.😊 Although we’ve had many snow storms on St. Patrick’s day. I will take anything but more snow!❄❄ Sending kisses back to Oz/🥰

Yes, I have been busy. Would you believe I am still cleaning??? There are boxes and boxes of things that hubby brought here from our other homes all filled with paper. He has kept everything and forgets when to part with things from twenty years or more ago. Now that he has had some problems, I am going through them bit by bit in between games at the Arcade. I have shredded most. I am getting rid of the clutter and keeping the most important things that may be needed in the future. Thank goodness we have a file cabinet. Everything is now labeled.
Yes, I am still searching for a cardiologist. I felt that waiting until the 24th would put us in Florida for the summer. Now I am looking for the card with the Orthopedist’s Assistant’s phone number and extension number. When clearing one thing you lost track of items you do need later. And I thought everything was in their place. Guess not.
It is a cool day in Florida with the temps in the mid 70s. Tomorrow and through the weekend we will see the 80s and now the weather people are predicting 90s for next week. Guess we will be wishing for cooler temps during the dog days of summer. Unbelievable weather for Florida. And also, no rain in sight.
No we have not gone marketing. Hubby’s back has been a huge problem and I am wondering if there is more to this. The blood tests at the hospital may show something, but so far have not heard. He still needs to do more tests which we will do within the next few weeks.
Enjoy the weather while you are out and about. Remember that March is known for wind and more relentless snow, though neither lasts for very long. Also, don’t forget that we lose an hour in March and that should make you feel a tad better know you can walk Poppy while it is still daylight. Have a great day. Oh yes, I love soup any time of day or night and no matter how hot it is outside. Good anytime of year.

The Valley of Despair
Anyone who has walked through the valley of despair and come out of the other side, knows that even in that darkness, seeds of light can be found.
Anyone who has walked through the valley of despair and come out the other side knows that even in that darkness, seeds of light can be found. Often their tendrils reach out of the gloom and into the daylight alongside the journeyer who emerges from that deep sorrow. When we find ourselves in a place of despair, it can help us to know this, so that we don’t give up. We can stop, take a deep breath, and remind ourselves that we will find ourselves on the other side of this troubled time, and that we may even emerge with something new to offer.
It seems that despair has been around for as long as humans have been able to express themselves, and many of the great artists, teachers, and visionaries have labored through times of depression and hopelessness. Their words, images, and lives can serve as beacons in the darkness, even if they can’t always immediately lead us out. In the end, we must find our own way, and this is why despair often overwhelms us when it comes; we doubt that we have the resources to contend with such a formidable presence all by ourselves. This is when we must come to our own aid and know in our hearts that we have what it takes to keep moving forward in the general direction of the light.
Even though we must ultimately rely on ourselves, this doesn’t mean we can’t ask for help. Our friends and families can help us, as can our inner guides and helping spirits. They can serve the purpose of a fire that burns throughout the night, keeping us warm, and providing a light by which we might see the changes we may need to make in order to move forward. In addition, there truly are seeds of light inside us, however small, waiting to unfurl their green shoots, if only we will give them the time. AMEN! ✨✨

Good day in the ‘burgh. 😘😎✨How are you today Lady? How is your sister and mother
doing? I know it is getting close to your sister returning to California. When will she come
back to the ‘burgh? I miss her already. ✨💕🌹I hope you have a nice luncheon with your SIL. ✨😘I think just about everyone could use
a break with all that is going on in the world. Good grief.
Enjoy the day. Blowing a kiss to Jake’s Canvas. 😘✨
