We had a beaut of a storm with lightning and thunder. Though it was daylight, it became night in just a few seconds. Before turning lights out last night, had the TV on and found the Gulf Coast was under a tornado watch until 11am. Hemmed and Hawed about turning the TV off and finally decided that we would probably hear the sirens if anything was coming through. Luckily, we just had rain. The wind tonight is howling and I surmise the temps are now dropping considerably. However, we will be back to almost normal temps tomorrow afternoon. That’s the good thing about Florida. Nothing stays more than a day or two and then it will be back to the mid seventies or low eighties. There is a possibility of more rain Tuesday. I am hoping that it will help break our drought. Still questionable whether or not we will hear those raindrops.

I still feel having the surgery here, if he can have it, is the best alternative. The parking lot at the Medical building is awesome. The staff quite helpful. It will also be easier to drive hubby to his physical therapy sessions here rather than to Boston two or three times per week. This is another thing that would be questionable. But, on the other hand, we really do need to drive to New England. It’s been over two years since we have seen the outside and even the inside of our two homes. So far our physician and the orthopedist’s assistant have said definitely NO to our return until after surgery. Flying is also out of the question because he needs to exercise the knee and that may not be feasible on a plane. However, my greatest concern is the traffic on the Interstate. At first I thought it might be that the “snowbirds” were returning North. But hat has not been the case. The culprit is that there is tons of construction and it seems you go from a four lane highway down to two lanes and then in some places down to one. With the holidays coming the end of April, most will start returning to their spring and summer homes by the first or second week of April. Hubby’s appointment in a week and a half Not so sure if leaving in April is a good idea. However, I will wait and see what the opinions are and if there are other alternatives.
