Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

You are so funny I love Anchors Aweigh I think the Mario Lanza Movie will be back on.
This is Academy Award Winners Month on TCM. All movies have won a major award.Oodie when you work with the likes of Leonard Bernstein, Ethel Merman, Ella Fitzgerlad,
Ray Bolger, Gordon McCrae as a very young girl you had better be on your toes. ✨✨I was always a fast learner everything I learned about the biz I learned from a New Yorker.
How I love the Music and Dance. Oodie I love your CT. Home and the Cape Cod Home.I know you will miss the animals but let’s hope they can find you on the Gulf Coast. 😘🌹💕
I watch TCM because there is no commercials and I miss Robert Osborne.

Hello Sheba, so good the temperatures are on the rise in your neck of the woods.
I am sure Poppy will enjoy the warm weather. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I’m not sure if I will cook anything special for Saint Patrick’s Day.
Today I made me some chicken croquettes and polenta.
Have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day Sheba and take care.

@Sheba
We had almost two inches of rain last night and more today. Though the drought situation may be over, the temps next week will bring it right back up again. But, for now, the rain has helped some of the sinus problems though coughing is still an issue. The new meds seem to be working and overall I do feel better.
I think hubby and I have finally come to the realization that the surgery will be performed in Florida. When we are able, we will drive North and do what we can in a shorter time. You are right, I will miss the Ct. home. Not the house itself, but the backyard. We have almost two acres of land and the animals are so cute and some have poked their noses to the screen in our laundry room hoping for a handout. However, the Cape house has other perks which I may miss more. Unlike the Ct. house, our neighbors do speak with one another and do watch the comings and goings on the street. We may not have almost two acres of land, but we do have a huge area of conservation land where no one can build. We also have access to the bike path where I do walk, We are also within walking distance to the shopping centers. The only thing we do not like is the traffic jams getting on and off the Cape. We do have a service road, but still you need to get off and join the parking lot. Doesn’t matter which bridge, they are both bad. I know that the Ma. Government are thinking of adding another bridge. However, this would mean a toll on all bridges. Not sure if that will help the situation. So far, as I know, nothing is written in stone as yet.
We will definitely spend at least a week on the Cape. We need to clean the basement and get it ready for the transfer of our living room sectionals. I kept my parents coffee table that is made of terrazzo. The color will definitely enhance the sectional. But since we haven’t been there in over two years, there’s tons to do. Actually, tons to do in both locations. We just have to see when we can leave and that will determine the length of time we have before we head South.
Tomorrow is jewelry day. I put a few things into favorites. I’m hoping for a coupon, but that maybe far fetched.
Oh, I purchased a squash blossom necklace. Finally found one on sale and it looks nice. Still waiting for it to be shipped.
Funny that you mentioned TCM. I watched “Anchors Aweigh ” this morning. It ended around 5:30 am and that’s when I went to bed. This movie was made before my time and like you said, they don’t make them like this anymore. Also this morning was a movie with Mario Lanza. Hopefully, they will show it again sometime in the not so distant future.
Well, that’s it for now. Hope you three have a great evening. Enjoy the sunshine and the new temps that are now above freezing.

Today was the “perfect” day in the ‘burgh and we don’t get many. I wish I could clone it for the rest of the year.😊🌞
I am also watching The Thing About Pam, Renee is so good. My favorite line yesterday was when her mom said she could get the face lift she wanted, Pam said I don’t know what you’re talking about and mom said your face does!!! Just about fell off the chair.🤣
Making a shopping list for mom Friday and all the things mom thinks she needs but doesn’t.😕 Mom shops like there are five people living in the house. But I don’t argue although she is just wasting money. Sis stocked her up before she left.
RIP Marilyn, William and Tova. Think we can have a good news day?🙄

Hello Oodie, How are you and your husband doing? Soon we will have Spring. We had a few storms come through with much needed rain. I am glad your new sinus meds did the trick. I have read your posts and it sounds like you have all under control. The research you have done will help you decide where is best for your husband’s surgery. And where it’s best for you to manage the driving and the place for your husband’s recovery. If I may suggest, don’t wait for a doctor’s office to call you, call them everyday untill you get the answers you need. Many a times they don’t get back in time that one needs. I know you are on top of things, you do have lots on your plate and are wearing many hats. As I have said before when you were in Georgia, you are a very strong person. And you sound like once you make your mind, it’s all forward here I come ( it’s a complement☺). Sometimes my writing just doesn’t come out right, so I hope you understand what I am saying.
Have you gone to the Asian market yet? Do you usually go on a weekend?
Take Care Oodie -
Insecurity
To understand your insecurities, you must get to the root source and know that it is only a mask you wear.
There is an innate awkwardness to being human. With each decision we make, there is the potential for self-doubt, and it is this-self doubt that forms the root of insecurity — a complex emotion that is a mix of equal parts inadequacy, isolation, fear, and hopelessness. Yet these feelings of insecurity that prevent us from fulfilling our potential by inducing us to abide by arbitrary self-limitations are nothing more than erroneous perceptions. We feel unconfident and unsure of ourselves because we judge ourselves to be so. Banishing insecurity is often simply a matter of challenging ourselves in order to prove that we are indeed intelligent and able.
When we feel insecure, we not only perceive ourselves as incapable of meeting life’s challenges but also fraudulent and unworthy of true happiness. We move through life plagued by a sense that others have judged us and found that we are lacking. As a result, we are robbed of our personal power and rendered unable to feel positive about the choices we make. Everyone feels insecure from time to time because each of us is born into the world with unique strengths. If you should find yourself with feelings of insecurity, however, endeavor to understand their source. Perhaps you were repeatedly berated as a child or seldom receive positive reinforcement in the present. A tendency to withdraw from risk or uncomfortable situations can amplify feelings of insecurity. When you have pinpointed the origin of your insecurity, focus on your abilities. The more you utilize your personal power — by taking risks, boldly facing challenges, and acting decisively — the stronger it will grow.
Remember that insecurity is not objective. Rather, it is an emotional interpretation of your value unconsciously based on doubt, shame, and fear. As you overcome those underlying emotions through courageous action and copious self-love, you’ll discover that you are capable of achieving more than you ever thought possible. AMEN! ✨✨

Good morning in S. California. 😘💕😎Very sad about Marilyn Miglin we are losing a lot
of people. My heart goes out to her family.Taci more will come and I know of one that I can’t talk about right now and it is in the
HSN Family I will leave it at that. This is so sad. 😢I hope you have a wonderful hike. Our weather is great today and we have the sun. 😎
Can you remember the very first thing you brought from HSN? I will have to say a piece
of Heidi Daus Jewelry. 💕Taci remember before the HSN Forum change about 4-5 years ago
there were many threads I mean almost everyone had a thread then came change and
everyone just seem to disappear now I can remember when the Arcade was all the rage.
I did not play any games back then but this Forum had a lot you could do. I created and made
this thread back then how I manage to keep it going depends on the day. I use to sit by my
father’s bedside and do the thread how I miss those days. Dad was a big help with the music.Taci I miss my father and I can’t wait for the butterflies to come.
Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶
