Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi. Yes, it was another gorgeous day. My sinuses enjoyed it also. I am still coughing. Today was not a good one. The sinus meds do work. Unfortunately, not on the cough. Our physician did send a prescription which I will try tonight. Hopefully, it will work. I definitely need to weed and trim the bushes. I will be cutting the hibiscus almost to ground level. I have put this off far too long because of the sinuses.
Your planting makes me long for the trip North. On the Cape, I have a huge deck off our dining area. We have a wooden bench that we put out as well as a dining set with four chairs. Right now those are in our dining area and we will put them outside as soon as we clear the deck of debris and wash it down. I always did container gardening on the deck. I planted tomatoes, peas, cukes, peppers along with impatiens and other flowering plants. If we were leaving in April or the beginning of May, I would start the plants now and replant when we get to the Cape. Hubby is happy. He hates looking for boxes to carry them in and watering, though it’s me who cares for them. I also tried potatoes, but they didn’t mature enough. Had great luck with garlic. I may make a bed of something next year on the side of that house. I will make that decision when the time comes. I surmise your gardening space is about the size of our yard on the Cape. We have less than a quarter of an acre because the previous owner added on. Actually the back gets very little sun because of our huge oak trees. Nothing on the side of the house and that area gets full sun.

Thank you for the rainbows and the Irish blessings. Hubby’s appointment is a week from today. I’m hoping that everything will turn out OK. He is starting to feel more comfortable now that the decision has been made to do whatever here in Florida. Traffic and parking were my major concerns in the North. We do have the problem here, but the atmosphere is more laid back and things to fall in place. I have quite a few books to keep me busy when the time comes. I will be downloading them onto Kindle just before the surgery.
The sinuses feel better, but I still get those awful headaches and the cough to beat the band. Hubby is so cute when I get into a coughing fit. Brings me the Benedryl and the water. It helps. I do have a prescription to try and will do so before going to bed. Houseiwork is not getting done. Tonight I will try to do something. I really need to get the house in order prior to surgery.
And, I also need to move some furniture around for the physical therapy. Not to worry. No heavy lifting involved. Just a push and a shove.Tomorrow is Trivia. Where has the week gone? Just the other day it was Monday. Yikes!!!! Not to worry. I will be getting plenty of sleep.

Sheba, Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! Hope you get to visit Ireland soon, numbers are down for now.
Thread looks great. Your weather sounds awesome today.
Hubby wanted to go out today and Ms. Heidi’s show was afternoon in my timezone so I missed her shows. We had a good time but it was 80 and hot so were back home by 5 pm. I will take a look at what was aired. Glad you found a few things to purchase.
The 2nd episode of Something about Pam aired but I haven’t watched it yet. I might try later tonight. This story is so sad and a real tragedy. It’s what scares me about small towns too.Hope everyone had a great St. Patrick’s Day.

Hello Oodie, it definitely sounds like you got yourself a good plan. Once the operation, the rehab, along with anything else needed is done. You and your husband will be going to lots of places having lots of fun.
I wish you could see my very tiny garden in the back. The Spring onions are just beautiful. I have a container with sage that I thought it was dying. And now is growing very well and pretty.
I planted a few new potatoes and hoping with all the good weather we are having they grow. I had some luck in growing potatoes. They come out with such a thin glossy skin, taste is much different then the ones in the store. It test fresher also sweet like. And they melt in your mouth, it doesn’t take any time to cook at all.
Take Care Oodie 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
