Thanks for the note about your poodle. I’ll never say never but I’m just not ready. You said it’s only been a few months – time flies, it has been 10 months, it will be a year in June. It has never taken me this long to get over one of my dogs. I guess I’m just waiting for a sign. I appreciate your concern.

Good evening I have a heck of a headache with sinus. ✨✨ I know you miss Jake.

I think of him often and I can relate to the loss. My user name is Sheba because that was
my girl dog and I loved her. I miss her so much. 💕💕 I can say not a day goes by that I
don’t think of her and I love Poppy just as much. My baby is a blessings and was rescued
by one of our daughter I took to him instantly now everywhere I go he goes. 😎

Good evening and oh boy do you have a lot on your plate. Glad you got Spectrum
switched hey Oodie when they are there have them show you how to work ON Demand
for TCM you will see how easy it is to do and you are paying for it already just some extra
movie you can’t see from the channel guide.

I hope everything falls into place. Oodie I have a headache and sinus problem
from being outdoors after my bike ride I saw more gumballs from the tree and I worked
outdoors a bit. I just took some meds and going to hop in the shower.

My sister and I are planning a trip in June and hopefully nothing else pops up.
The entire family will be there and it’s my mom’s birthday month. 💕😘✨

Best laid plans and I hope all goes well. I have had so many roadblocks with health
and a virus I don’t want anything to get in my way. My sister lives in GA but she spent most
of her life in Colorado until her job transferred her there about seven years ago. Our children
are not from GA they are from Kansas. 💕✨All the jobs were very good for College Grads a few
years ago and they are all still there. I will never live in GA too darn hot!! I am from Tennessee
Soil and so is my family. Well we are from everywhere. 😘My home state is OZ! 😎

I went for a ride on my ten speed and it was great tomorrow is another story as we
have some serious weather coming our way. My husband often rides with me as he has
his own ten speed and likes to show off and I let him. 😘✨

We did have a very nice Palm Sunday. 🌹

Hello Sheba, it sounds like you had a wonderful Palm Sunday. We too had a beautiful Palm Sunday, the weather made it even better. Today is another sunny day, and it’s beautiful. Unfortunately the 4 plants from the Luna Hibiscus Collection died. They didn’t have a chance, I kind of saw that when they got here. But I was hoping for a miracle.
Sheba are you going to visit your mother for Easter? Or perhaps for Mother’s Day? We are looking into a trip Northwest some time in May.

I was happy Scottie Scheffler won, he is on a roll. This is the fourth tournament he has won in 57 days and the most prestigious in golf. He has earned close to 9 million with these wins. In an interview, he said the most important in his life is his wife, religion and golf, in that order. Lovely man.😊👍🏆

Stone Soup

Imagine a world in which we all shared our gifts and bounty with each other, rather than focusing on self-preservation.

There are many variations on the story of stone soup, but they all involve a traveler coming into a town beset by famine. The inhabitants try to discourage the traveler from staying, fearing he wants them to give him food. They tell him in no uncertain terms that there’s no food anywhere to be found. The traveler explains that he doesn’t need any food and that, in fact, he was planning to make a soup to share with all of them. The villagers watch suspiciously as he builds a fire and fills a cauldron with water. With great ceremony, he pulls a stone from a bag, dropping the stone into the pot of water. He sniffs the brew extravagantly and exclaims how delicious stone soup is. As the villagers begin to show interest, he mentions how good the soup would be with just a little cabbage in it. A villager brings out a cabbage to share. This episode repeats itself until the soup has cabbage, carrots, onions, and beets — indeed, a substantial soup that feeds everyone in the village.

This story addresses the human tendency to hoard in times of deprivation. When resources are scarce, we pull back and put all of our energy into self-preservation. We isolate ourselves and shut out others. As the story of stone soup reveals, in doing so, we often deprive ourselves and everyone else of a feast. This metaphor plays out beyond the realm of food. We hoard ideas, love, and energy, thinking we will be richer if we keep them to ourselves, when in truth we make the world, and ourselves, poorer whenever we greedily stockpile our reserves. The traveler was able to see that the villagers were holding back, and he had the genius to draw them out and inspire them to give, thus creating a spread that none of them could have created alone.

Are you like one of the villagers, holding back? If you come forward and share your gifts, you will inspire others to do the same. The reward is a banquet that can nourish many. AMEN! ✨✨
