Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Don’t let it break you… you can be disappointed, crushed, upset, hurt, depleted…but be strong and don’t let it break you. 🤗 sending love to all those who may need a little encouragement and reminder of just how strong you are. 💕 ✨✨

I started a reply to you almost two hours ago. Must have fallen asleep. So here we go again.
Hubby and I did go out this afternoon. There was no wind. There was no humidity. The temp was the mid 80s. And, the sinuses were fine. Yippee for a couple of hours of relief. No cough and when it did start it went away just like that.
We picked up hubby’s prescription and then went on to the Farmer’s Market. Hubby drove. He was surprised that inside the market there were no lines and no wait. He forgot that the “snowbirds,” like us, had left weeks ago to be at their regular home for Passover and Easter. We always stay a bit longer to avoid the traffic and possible accidents. This year it is a good thing. Tons of detours on the Interstate and of course, those following too closely, a bump or two.
Anyway, while in checkout I remembered one thing I forgot. Their Amish, homemade chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts. I have tried to copy the taste to no avail. Taste better the way they prepare it. Picked up blueberries which should be in season in another week or two. Also Asian pears. The consistency of these pears are so different from ours. Cut a little piece to try when we returned home and it was so very sweet and juicy. More expensive than the Asian market, but since we keep postponing that adventure, decided to purchase now. Yes, they had the dragon fruit at $4.99/lb,. Not sure if we will still be here when the price goes down to $1..99 ea between the end of June until August/September. They also had a red shrimp. Something new and was caught wild. Looked interesting and purchased a little over a pound. Also bought Corvina which is a fish that is caught in the Pacific Ocean. Sweet and mild taste. I’m thinking of a fish stir fry tomorrow night. I picked up a box of Soba Noodles at Costco in the refrigerated section. There are six or seven separate packages to a box. These are actually a protein with very little calories for anyone watching what they eat. You can eat it cold or warm. I will be using this instead of rice. Guess I’ll make it with bay scallops, shrimp and maybe the corvina.
Hubby is also asking for Asian takeout.Tomorrow a trip to Costco is in order. Gas increased by five cents from yesterday. I surmise that by the time we can return North, gas will probably be $5 or $6 a gallon. unless something can be done to curtail the increase.
Have a great evening and walk with Poppy. It’s almost time for Trivia. Where has the week gone? It’s moving too fast.
