Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

That sauce/spread is wonderful. Try a little on a teaspoon and see if you can handle it. It really is not that hot hot. It’s a bit on the mild side for me, but it does have a nice kick to it.
Yeah, nothing like a hotdog from Costco. We even buy the same ones and put it into the freezer. These have a different taste/flavor, but, are still the best. I also picked up their stuffed peppers. I froze those as well. They come in handy when I don’;t feel like cooking or my back won’t let me stand for long periods of time.
I’m in and out of the kitchen today doing Kp. n between I made an appointment with an eye doctor for next week. My eyesight seems to be OK, but I’m sure I will need stronger lenses. Long story short it’s for renewing my driver’s license. That time of year. I almost forgot. Normally, I go to the Opthamologist in Boston, but this needs to be done sooner rather than later. When hubby has his appointment I will have them check on the results.
Sounds like Charlie was hungry. Cute that he went to his favorite chair on the patio. Guess that is his wait area. Sounds like this kitty has patience for all things good. So glad that you are there for him. I think after we arrive at our home North, I may make a trip to the SPCA. I sure miss having something furry under my feet or in my arms purring away. Maybe, get a pooch to keep him company.
Well, back to the kitchen. Need to go to the Farmer’s Market. They have a fish they prepared with a chili sauce that sounds very tempting. I will definitely give a review. Also need to stop at Costco. I need a gift for my new neighbor. She has been very helpful and I really should thank her. Hairdresser also. I do not know why I seem to gravitate to Belgian chocolates rather than Godiva and others. Enough said. I had dinner. Do not need any other temptations.

Hi. This sauce is absolutely amazing. Guess Sheba’s husband and I love anything that is spicy and hot. Ok, occasionally my stomach will let me know to stop for awhile. But, actually, this sauce can go on anything (chicken, pork, shrimp, veggies, etc). It’s a plastic jar put out by Artisan and called Something Special Red Chili Pepper spread. Yes, I do have a Costco membership and there are times it comes in handy. I purchased two of these and one is in the frig almost gone.
Oh, something else about Costco. I needed a couple of gifts to send to my neighbors for keeping me posted on our homes in the Northeast. I was about to order some fruit on line and decided to try Costco. They had the same baskets and boxes at a lower price and I was surprised when I found they could ship it. You would think I would send fruit from Florida. I did last year. Both were discarded immediately. Guess that will teach me to purchase from our farmer’s market and box it myself. At least then I know it is fresh and sweet.
Let me know how your husband likes the red chili peppers. .

Well of course it was an honest mistake.
Half of what I try to post goes poof, and I never use a computer, so I never know where my post will end up.
I just wanted to post where Oodiebom might see it. If you have the ability to delete it, please do so. -
Sheba, Hope your annual medical reports get done quickly and that you feel better soon. Maybe Oodie’s hot sauce will knock it out.
We had rain yesterday and more the day before which was great. I tried to hike yesterday and it was a bit mushy in some areas so I did a safe hike. Saw the Coyote at the same spot and we stopped to observe each other from a healthy distance. Only about 4 people were out and a biker or 2.
You have Alpha’s huh? I call my husband the Alpha sometimes but not lately. My son is naturally cautious, so no massive pipes or jumps. When he was little and we went to the pool i could let him walk around and knew he wasn’t going to just jump into the pool. One of my neighbors would open the gate to let her little kids in the pool area and they ran into the pool, no fear and not able to swim, and she quickly jumped in after them. It was pretty funny. She was like you’re not worried he’l jump and was um no. He is also a safe driver.
Take care! -
Hey, hey, hey in Oz. Bright sunshine🌞 but chilly in the ‘burgh. Starting Thursday we will be getting a wintery mix and snow showers through the weekend.❄ So I plan to go see mom and sis tomorrow. Hate going out on the weekends right before Christmas, traffic and people everywhere.
Thanks for your support, we were both winners this weekend.👍 I am all in for Mr. Butler for every award.🙌
Did you get Poppy and Charlie a Christmas gift?🐕🎁🐈 I miss doing that so I sent a donation to the animal shelter. One more gift to buy – a gift card for the newspaper lady.
Don’t get sick again.😤 With all that’s out there, it is so hard to get well. No games tonight so we can both relax, lol! Blowing kisses your way for you and the four-legged babies.😘💗

Enjoy this beautiful Holiday Tuesday Peeps! 🌹🌹

Offering Comfort
When offering comfort to somebody, their only real need is to have you be in the present moment with them.
Sometimes it is difficult to see someone we love struggling, in pain, or hurting. When this happens, we might feel like we need to be proactive and do something to ease their troubles. While others may want our help, it is important to keep in mind that we need to be sensitive to what they truly want in the moment, since it can be all too easy to get carried away and say or do more than is really needed. Allowing ourselves to let go and simply exist in the present with another person may actually provide a greater amount of comfort and support than we could ever imagine.
Perhaps we can think back to a time when we were upset and needed a kind word, hug, or listening ear from someone else. As we remember these times, we might think of the gestures of kindness that were the most healing. It may have been gentle words such as “I care about you,” or the soothing presence of someone holding us and not expecting anything that were the most consoling. When we are able to go back to these times it becomes easier for us to keep in mind that giving advice or saying more than is really necessary is not always reassuring. What is truly comforting for another is not having someone try to fix them or their problems, but to just be there for them. Should we begin to feel the urge arise to offer advice or repair a situation, we can take a few deep breaths, let the impulse pass, and bring our attention back to the present. Even though we may want to do more, we do not have to do anything other than this to be a good friend.
The more we are attuned to what our loved ones are feeling, the more capable we are of truly giving what is best for them in their hour of need. Keeping things simple helps us give the part of ourselves that is capable of the greatest amount of compassion—open ears and an understanding heart. AMEN! ✨🌹
