Driver’s License found and now I can really relax. The laundry room does not have A/C or a workable fan. So it took two trips out there to find the license. It was in a T-Shirt pocket. Hubby had no recollection of where it would be. Suffice to say that he needed to show an ID with a picture at the doctor’s office. Anyway, we are both happy that the search is over.

We went to our favorite Asian buffet tonight. I was a happy, happy person. It was all fish and no two the same. They did a remarkable job. Also fresh veggies that were not overcooked or over steamed.

Not sure if we will venture out tomorrow. Suffice to say, will finish the kitchen and bar area and then will go through the clutter on the dining room table. After that it is the Masterbath and bedroom. I will contact Spectrum to return to change the lines leading to their cable boxes and to the cable as well. There will be no computer while they work since that area has to be changed as well. I’m going to have them remove everything under the desk so I can give the area a thorough cleaning which will take all of five minutes. I would like to see this completed before hubby has surgery. I also will be contacting the electrician and will work around hubby’s schedule as much as possible.

New saline solution is really helping. Ears are starting to feel unclogged and I can hear better as well. Dial tone sound in deaf ear is much better. Hoping I will be able to hear the person on the other end of the line out of that ear. If that occurs, I will be really happy.

Tomorrow is Trivia. Another week that has gone by way too fast. Have a great evening. Stay safe.

Never made it to the Farmer’s Market. Actually, we didn’t go out until dinner time. We decided on our favorite Asian buffet which was all fish tonight and absolutely delicious. Hubby ate up a storm. Good to see him eat for a change rather than push food around because of pain.

Yes, I went to the laundry room to search for the driver’s license. I had to make two trips. The room is not air conditioned. The heat got to me on the first try. The second try took a few long minutes, but I did find it in a shirt pocket. You cannot imagine how I felt. That’s twice he has misplaced it and twice I found it. There better not be a third time. We both can breathe a big sigh of relief.

Not sure about going out tomorrow. Heat and humidity and a huge chance of thunderstorms. We had one last night and I have to admit that the rain never sounded so good. Right now, it is high humidity. And it’s very hot. We will not be going out anytime too soon. Take care you two and stay safe.

Really enjoyed the last show, gave a lot to think about. What comes around goes around and the patterns we repeat. It will always be in my heart.💖

Not any definite plans for Memorial Day weekend except my husband golfing on Sunday. Mom’s community is opening their pool on Saturday with a cookout. I may just sit on the deck like you with some burgers and dogs.🍔🌭 Unless some spare of the moment plans. Weather should be good, hot again next week.🔥

I’m 0-2 for the hockey teams, only about halfway there.🏒 I will keep watching and rooting. Have a relaxing evening, sending hugs to you and the family.🤗💖

Serving Your Community

Being of service to our community is part of being a good citizen of the planet earth.

To live harmoniously, we need to be supportive and helpful to all people, creatures, and plant life that share this earth with us. While “being of service” is part of being a good citizen of the world, it also feels good to help others. When we do something for others in service, without the expectation of anything in return, we are turning our actions into offerings.

There are many ways to be of service to our community. There are the obvious and much needed volunteer opportunities, such as serving Thanksgiving dinner at a shelter, mentoring our youth, or cleaning up a beach. Then, there is the kind of service that we may not even think of as being acts of service. Learning a new language (perhaps sign language) so that you can talk to more people is a way to reach out to others. Inviting someone who isn’t motivated enough to exercise on their own to join you on your daily walk is a way to give of yourself. Sharing flowers or vegetables from your garden, organizing a poetry reading, offering to babysit for a busy parent, or donating pet food to an animal shelter all are simple ways to offer your services to your community.

There are many ways that you can serve the world. Imagine the impact we would have on the environment if we picked up one piece of trash off the street everyday and chose not to drive our car once a week. Even gardening tactics such as throwing wildflower seeds onto a vacant lot can brighten the lives of others — including the lives of birds and insects. Everyday, you can do something to make this world a better place. During meditation, ask for guidance on what you can do to be of service. This can be a wonderful way to start your day. Smiling at a stranger who looks down in the dumps or teaching your neighborhood kids how to whistle will impact someone’s day or even their life. Giving of yourself is the best gift that you can give. Amen! ✨
