Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

You are a sketch. I have been laughing since reading your post. We had quite a rain storm this evening. A much needed rainstorm and then came the thunder or lightning or was it vice versa. I cut the power to the computer, wifi, A/C, etc.. It’s still lightning, but I think this one is due to the heat. It was quite hot and very very humid today. I managed to water the plants on the lanai and did one load in the washer. Of course the headaches started and so did everything else. Headache is almost non existent and the sinuses are OK.
I contacted the furniture store and the date was changed to next Monday which is better. It will give us time to go through some items and make more of a donation during the week.
Gas prices are something else. Saturday, gas was $4.49/gal. Today $4.60. Unbelievable. But, as you always have said, “this too, shall pass.”
Because of the heat, today I made a huge batch of tuna salad. Salad is good on a hot, humid day. Well, back to some chores. Have a great evening. Stay safe.

Good evening and thank you for your post. 😘✨ Hey we had a great day even without
power where I live we have huge trees and wildlife. This area is big but older. I love it.The winds were very high yesterday and today we had rain all week long so when the
winds and sun came out down came a couple of trees over the power lines.Good thing I did all the fixing early and hubby did the grilling we were in the 80’s today
and we made it. 😜😎✨Lady I do understand about trees from now on when I walk Poppy I am going to make sure
we are not under a large tree. Woof, woof.I am glad you had a great day and I am remembering loved ones as well. Hey my brother
and his wife had Covid-19 in Colorado last week they did not tell me. I found out today.
So far they are testing negative. I want this virus gone. Here is to a nice day and I hope you do not get too hot we are about to rain in a few
minutes so there may be more trees down. Yikes! Here comes the rain again. ✨

Thank you for all the beautiful Memorial Day posts, it means a lot to me.💗
I know exactly what you mean and how you feel with the wind and trees. I do not live in a plan of homes where everything is bulldozed out. Trees are everywhere in my neighborhood and many are very old.🌲 So it doesn’t take much wind to knock one down. That’s why I always freeze when a big storm is coming. I hope the electric gods are watching over your house, you’ve had enough!!😣
We grilled a few things for dinner,👨🍳very tasty, hope yours was too. No cool down here until Thursday. ‘Tis the season.🔥😎🌞

The Power of Not Knowing
There is freedom in admitting that you don’t know something, as that allows for a new learning experience to emerge.
There is wisdom in not knowing, and it is a wise person who can say, “I don’t know.” For no one knows everything. There are many types of wisdom — from intellectual to emotional to physical intelligence. Yet, even deemed experts in their fields do not know all there is to know about mathematics, yoga, literature, psychology, or art. It is a true master who professes ignorance, for only an empty vessel can be filled.
There are many things in life that we don’t know, and there are many things we may have no interest in finding out. There is freedom in saying “I don’t know.” When we admit that we don’t know something, we can then open ourselves up to the opportunity to learn. And there is power in that. We can’t possibly know everything. And when we think we do, we limit ourselves from growing and learning more than what we already do know. A person who can admit to not knowing tends to be more intellectually and emotionally confident than someone who pretends to know everything. They also tend to be more comfortable with who they are and don’t feel the need to bluff or cover up any perceived ignorance. People can actually end up appearing more foolish when they act as if they know something that they don’t.
We would be wise to respect people who freely admit when they don’t know something. They are being honest, with us and with themselves. And we, too, should feel no shame in saying, “I don’t know.” In doing so, we open ourselves up to the unknown. We can then discover what lies beyond our current levels of understanding. It is the wise person in life that answers questions with a question and inspires the pursuit of internal answers with a funny face, a shrug, and a comical, “I don’t know.” AMEN! ✨✨
