Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@xango,
This is my first time hearing this song I am playing my father’s songs from his CD’s
and I love how Johnny sings this he just passed last year. ✨Happy Birthday. ✨Cindy’s Birthday
Song by Johnny CrawfordNo time for the movie show, TV, or the radio
Gotta write a symphony, end it with some poetry
Tie them with a ribbon made of gold and give them to Cindy
Today is Cindy’s birthday
No time for geometry, ‘rithmetic, or history
Gotta write a song from my heart, then pick the greatest work of art
Tie them with a ribbon made of gold and give them to Cindy
Today is Cindy’s birthday
No time to do the Twist, don’t mind all the things I miss
Gotta write a melody, write it from the heart of me
Tie it with a ribbon made of gold and give it to Cindy
Today is Cindy’s birthday
Yes, Cindy’s happy birthday… -

Please be safe. We had a brute of a storm yesterday. It was very scary. Hope all is well in PA and that your mom and sis are safe as well as you and hubby. Take care.
Temps are in the low to mid 90s where we are. Oh yes, high humidity as well. I keep the A/C off during the day. Usually when I turn it on the temp in the house is between 83 and 88 degrees. The fan never felt so good.

Yesterday, late afternoon, the dark clouds started to roll in. But the way it looked outside, did not seem natural. We had the dark, storm clouds overhead. But if you looked North, it was just cloudy. If you looked West, the same, though the sun was still hitting the clouds. East, the sky was somewhat dark. Then we started hearing golf balls drop. at times it sounded like it was inside our home. TMy eyMhe sky darkened somewhat. Then a few minutes later, it turned to rain. Torrents of rain. The dark skies moved North and West. There was a silver lining at the edge of the clouds and faced downward. As I looked some more there was a silver cloud that went vertical. I started watching that cloud and then it seemed to disappear. There was more rain and all of a sudden you could not see the house next door or the homes across the lake. My eyes glued to what was happening. I was so mesmerized, I didn’t realize I was sitting in the rocking chair. Then came the streaks of light and the thunder. As the thunder echoed within our walls, the next flash came. This was on going. Then I noticed our overhead light fixture which dangles over our table and two chairs started to sway back and forth. This never happened before. Then the ceiling looked like it was breathing. I ran out of there so fast, scared out of my mind. Was it wind???? Or did we just witness a mini tornado. Not sure. I didn’t hear the wind. Nor did we hear what would sound like a train going through. Tampa had three small tornados. Thank G-d it only uprooted some trees. No injuries and as far as I know, no one lost power. Not even us. It was really tough and I hope I will never experience that again.
Today, the air was a bit better. Humidity was a little lower. We did have a shower. No lightning. No thunder. It lasted just a few minutes. Our eyes are watching the tropics. Looks like we may see a tropical storm over the weekend. Not sure if it will develop into something else.
So far have not heard from the hospital about the tests needed prior to surgery. Will contact the orthopedist tomorrow to check on this. Also will make sure that they have the necessary paper work from the cardiologist.
My sinuses are no good and the cough has returned with a vengeance. Back to the meds.

Hello Sheba, how are you and Poppy? The month of May has gone, and now we start our Summer days. Some how its going fast, pretty soon your favorite season starts, Autumn.
I am officially 65, and on Medicare 🤣 however my body screamed that long before.
Today we have a very windy day in the mid eighties. Its about 12 mph and it gives burst of gushing winds. Unfortunately it just dries everything. I hope we get the rain this way, and doesn’t stall.
Take Care Sheba 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
Still hot today, upper 80s, that is why we are getting severe storms this evening. It will be 70 tomorrow. Keeping fingers crossed.🤞
Hope all your family is over covid. I thought about you last night while watching the hockey game because Colorado was playing. I bet your family were happy they won.😊
Have a great evening. I will be waiting for thunder and lightning.⛈

Questioning Everything
Being open-minded means that we are willing to question everything, including those things we take for granted.
A lot of people feel threatened if they feel they are being asked to question their cherished beliefs or their perception of reality. Yet questioning is what keeps our minds supple and strong. Simply settling on one way of seeing things and refusing to be open to other possibilities makes the mind rigid and generally creates a restrictive and uncomfortable atmosphere. We all know someone who refuses to budge on one or more issues, and we may have our own sacred cows that could use a little prodding. Being open-minded means that we are willing to question everything, including those things we take for granted.
A willingness to question everything, even things we are sure we are right about, can shake us out of complacency and reinvigorate our minds, opening us up to understanding people and perspectives that were alien to us before. This alone is good reason to remain inquisitive, no matter how much experience we have or how old we get. In the Zen tradition, this willingness to question is known as beginner’s mind, and it has a way of generating possibilities we couldn’t have seen from the point of view of knowing something with certainty. The willingness to question everything doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t believe in anything at all, and it doesn’t mean we have to question every single thing in the world every minute of the day. It just means that we are humble enough to acknowledge how little we actually know about the mysterious universe we call home.
Nearly every revolutionary change in the history of human progress came about because someone questioned some time-honored belief or tradition and in doing so revealed a new truth, a new way of doing things, or a new standard for ethical and moral behavior. Just so, a commitment to staying open and inquisitive in our own individual lives can lead us to new personal revolutions and truths, truths that we will hopefully, for the sake of our growth, remain open to questioning. AMEN! 😎✨
