Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I am remembering your mother this time of year. 🌹🌹Please never get close to a Coyote you may need an outfit like I brought Poppy. 😜
Last chance for HD she who waits. 😘😎

Thank you for being with me throughout this whole ordeal I can’t believe it is three
years and I am almost done after next year.I will treat myself I certainly will and how. 😎😎I have been good all year.
I did see the big Blue W when I tried to log in this morning I had a bad feeling about it.
I did call Customer Service and that was that and I am sure a lot of other people did too.Oodie people may not post on these boards but they sure do read what is written on them.
Trust me on that. 😜✨😎Oh Snap!Hey rest up busy day for you tomorrow. 🌹

Thank you so much for your well wishes this was the most important one outside of the
Mammo. ✨😎I will be in Victoria Secrets shopping this weekend. The fit is perfect.Oz shall be in the 20’s all week and I am almost done doing the Christmas Deco. ✨🌹
I did try to sign in early today and like Oodiebom I got a blue W I was not having that.
I try to be very careful what I click on and our wonderful Community has had a Virus
before in strange languages HSN Sarah had to remove them all. I remember that night
years ago because all of us shut down when we saw what was happening.I know your husband’s co-workers are going to love your treats and you too. 😘
I am so tired from this whole week I just have two more appointments and I am done
until this time next year. Thank you for being here. 🌹🌹Hey I think the whole Community call for help.

@Sheba, Well i too tried to log in yesterday to wish you well for your appointment today. I am very happy for your great news! Congratulations!
Yes, took a look at the HD site WOW! I have been laying low on purchases because of my vacation. I had what you might call a larger then usual expense for me but not for many, while my husband wasn’t feeling well and stayed in for a day. The wife went away….
The coyotes are used to seeing us and it’s pretty rare to spot them in this area although I know several packs live in it. Usually if i see a few the disappear quickly like little kids caught.
Just put some more decoration on the windows. They are these snowflakes that peel and stick.
Happy Holidays to you and family. -
Yeah Rah Rah I’m doing the “V: for Victory lap and dance. Good news. Now go take hubby out and celebrate. Ok it’s a week prior to Christmas, but this calls for a huge dor re mi……
Last night I tried several times to sign in. I couldn’t believe it. I had already signed in at the start. So, I moused over the area and it brought me to another web page without HSNs logo. It was a “W.” Tried past midnight to no avail. Gave up. I know there was a glitch, but wonder if it was a virus trying to attack HSN’s home page with all their customers. I immediately closed up shop but not before running my virus software and not before deleting everything.
Yes, tomorrow is Trivia and I have not seen FBN anywhere on line which is very unusual. Sometimes I see where he has been in the Arcade, but nothing in the past month or so. I am really concerned. He has had some health issues in the last few months and I hope he is OK. We cannot take anything for granted these days. I am hoping he is OK.
I redid the kitchen and the counters. No more clutter. I found a way to house things I do not use on a daily or weekly basis. Now I have room for another Amazon product which is helping me with the recipes rather than going to every cookbook I own (and there are many).
I adore the gif of the blue coat. Breathtaking. Someone has excellent taste.
Today we had some storms along with a Severe Thunderstorm and tornado alert. I awoke to dark clouds and the sound of thunder in the distance. No lightning bolts for an hour or so. And then the storm hit. Torrential rain, loud claps of thunder and some much needed rain. Thank goodness I checked the weather prior and so any shopping we were going to do today we put off for tomorrow. Our Farmer’s Market has a real good sale this week on crab leg clusters, lobster roll with a cup of homemade clam chowdah, fresh string beans, strawberries (they are a little early this year), shrimp, pies (all kinds), and homemade peppermint ice cream. I know I left out some other things, but I’m making dinner as I typ;e. Oh yes, also cukes, tomatoes and the different shades of peppers. The prices reflect from two years ago. I’m sure they are losing money on these things. Guess I can say it is an eary Hanukkah and Christmas present.
Welll, off to the kitchen…….Making a stir fry with rice (hubby has partaken the rice, guess I will make more.

@Sheba🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 So good to be able to post and to know your Oncologist appointment went well, yeah 👏👏👏🫂🫂
Yes the HSN did have a glitch. Yesterday I had lost going, and every time I tried to post in the morning I had to stop. Then in the late afternoon to evening I couldn’t get into Community to post, there was no way to reply.
So I posted the question on HSN’s Facebook yesterday. Then today I called customer service and explained what it was doing. I tried to get in here and it would take me to a different page🤔.
Yesterday I baked several different items for hubby’s Christmas get together at work today. I can’t believe only 10 days before Christmas🎄🎄🎄🎄
We are suppose to get some cold days, actually this year so far its been warmer then usual. It’s been in the high seventies to mid-eighties, and some days with no humidity.
Enjoy your home, rest this evening with Poppy by your side and perhaps with a visit from Charlie.
Take care Sheba 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 -
Yay for you, that’s all that matters today!!!👍👍💗💗🥰🥰

Reviving A Community Tradition
Most cultures use storytelling to pass down family history, using the power and energy of the human voice.
Ever since our ancestors could first communicate, we have gathered to share our stories. We have passed along creation tales and tragic stories of love lost. We have repeated accounts of real heroism and simple stories of family history. When our forebears lived closer to the land and to each other, the practice of storytelling was imbued with ritual and occasion. Members of the tribe would often gather around the fire to hear their genealogy recited aloud by an elder or master storyteller. Listeners could track how their own lives, and the lives of their parents, interwoven with the lives of the other tribe members, as everyone’s ancient relatives once played out similar life dramas together.
As a custom, some cultures’ storytellers repeat the same tale over and over because they believe that each time you hear it, you come to the story as a different person and view the plot and characters in a new light. Hearing the story over and over is a way to gauge where you have been and where you are now on your path of personal evolution. It also helps the younger generation learn the stories so that they can pass them to forthcoming generations.
When we hear others tell stories, we can laugh at their humorous adventures, feel the thrill of exciting encounters, see parts of ourselves in them, and learn from the challenges they face. Though most of our formal traditions of storytelling are lost, it does not mean we have to be without. We can begin new practices in our own families of listening to one another, of honoring our own journey, and witnessing the journeys of those around us. We can revive the fireside communal by gathering around the campfire or hearth with family and friends, sharing in stories. By building new practices of storytelling, we give ourselves and the ones we love an opportunity to draw ever closer in our shared human experience. AMEN! ✨✨
