Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Find your right cup of tea.
There will always be someone in this life who just doesn’t like you, no matter how hard you try to please them.
There will always be something that you say, or do, which causes offence or division.
Whether you meant to or not.
There will always be someone who finds fault in you, your life or your words.
You may never find out why, please don’t waste your precious time trying to.
You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
Then there will be those who like you on impact.
A little fizz of energy that passes between you.
Silently, unseen, bonding.
Those people will not only like you but they will like you fiercely.
They are your people.
Whatever spare time you have, spend it on them.
You can’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but you can be someone’s first sip of a cold drink on a sunny day…
Or a warming hot chocolate when you come in from the rain
or the pop of a long awaited champagne cork
or a stiff shot of tequila when things go awry
Find your people,
love them hard. -

Hi and good morning. I was hoping to be posting earlier but the thunderstorm and cable had me waiting. I forgot that Spectrum was going to do some upgrading and something that would last 15 minutes went over an hour.
Congratulations on your bone density and Mam. This now means you will soon be able to drive to Denver and see your mom along with your siblings, nieces and nephews. Wish I could be a fly on the wall for this homecoming that took over two years to happen.
Looks like we are under the gun for a tropical storm for sometime during the weekend. At least it will be a rain event. No snow is in the forecast.
I have been really suffering with the sinuses, headaches and a cough. I finally decided to purchase an air purifier an spent the morning and afternoon looking at quite a few and doing some comparisons. Some actually had UV connections but after doing further delving found that these cause more problems for you because of the air quality. Went to some of my favorite places that study electronics and came up with a few names. By late afternoon the decision was made and delivery is sometime today.
Since the hospital had not phoned us for the inevitable before surgery tests, I contacted the Orthopedist'[s assistant. She contacted me almost immediately. Hubby has an appointment for
Tuesday afternoon. I also must bring the list of meds and vitamins to see what he can and cannot take prior to surgery. I will also bring the vitamins with me in case they need to know the ingredients. Most are Andrew’s. I also explained my situation with the sinus and cough. Even though it is allergy related and I will be masked, there is still a potential for bacteria. I’m OK with sitting in the car and will let someone know if that is the case. But, I am hoping that the air purifier will help end the problem.Following surgery hubby will have his first appointment with the physical therapist. I will need to bring his walker (he hates it because it has only two wheels and it is cumbersome. I will bring the measurement for the three steps to our office visit on Friday. He will not be able to leave unless he learns how to go up and down and also to learn how to step into the van. I also have the appointments for the week of surgery and the following one as well. He will need the walker for at least three weeks. I will be a very busy person…….🚗🚗🚶♂️🚶♂️📖📖🏪🏪🛍🛍🌴

@oodiebom:
Wow. I would literally melt. I would be a super sweaty sweatball & not able to breathe, literally. If the A/C here gets up to 74°/75°, it’s very uncomfortable. I don’t know how you can handle that heat & humidity.😯😟😦

Sorry about the time on this post. Hope you read it. We had thunder and lightning for over an hour and when that was finished cable took everything down for an overhaul. It was supposed to be 15 minutes, but as you and I know, “Aesop wrote other fables.”
I’m laughing at your post. Believe it or not, I need the house to be on the cool side. Actually, the cooler the better. However, if I didn’t set the temp above 80 degrees our bill for the month would be between $400 and $600 per month. There are times when I actually run out to the car and relax for 15 minutes just to cool off. Our temps at night tend to be in the mid 70s with high humidity. So, consequently, the A./C is on. For hubby’s sake, I keep it between 73 and 75. And, I would love nothing better than to open our windows and let the sea breeze in. Lately, it’s been very humid and the air quality not good. Also, Florida is known for these tiny, 4 legged lizards know as geckos who would love nothing better than to come in at night and race around the house looking for a way out. We learned our lesson on all accounts early on. The only way I have been able to capture one is by putting the A/C down to the low 60s. Geckos hate the cold and freeze in place. At that point I gently broom them into our scooper and put them outside to thaw and live another day. I do not like reptiles in any shape or size. To say they scare the livin daylights out of me is an understatement.
Looks like we will finally get some needed rain. Our area is under a tropical storm watch. The storm is moving at a real slow pace which could give it the potential it needs to grow stronger. I’m watching this very carefully. We are less than ten miles from the Gulf.. May postpone furniture delivery until Wednesday just to be on the safe side. As far as I know at this point, the storm may not be going up the East coast. Then again, don’t hold your breath. Scenario’s do change. Meanwhile, please stay safe.
The Arm & Hammer Saline ins not only less expensive than Pressureze, but works better as well. However, I still get the tickle in my throat and I still have a cough. Since I’m not one to keep on taking OTC meds, I finally decided to purchase an air purifier. I ordered one this afternoon and it will be delivered tomorrow. I think with everything I have been doing, this will certainly help with the sinus and the cough. A?C can only do so much and sometimes an added thing may just be the one thing that will stop everything in it’s tracks. Hubby’s surgery is a week from Monday and I have to admit that I am running scared. Getting the coughing fits will not help his situation if I must leave and spend the next hour or so in the car or worse yet, return home.
Though I will be wearing a mask I still will not be permitted to sit in the waiting room or if he must stay overnight or worse two or three nights, he will be alone. By the way, the Manuka Honey from HSN does help with the tickle in the throat. A teaspoon does the trick.
