Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Andrea Bocelli will perform at the Queen’s Jubilee tomorrow.

The Prayer
Song by Andrea BocelliI pray you’ll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don’t know
Let this be our prayer when we lose our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
To a place where we’ll be safe
La luce che tu dai
I pray we’ll find your light
Nel cuore resterà
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarci che
When stars go out each night
L’eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c’è
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe
Sognamo un mondo senza più violenza
Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternità
La forza che ci dia
We ask that life be kind
È il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amor
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a sè
Another soul to love
Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child
Need to find a place
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we’ll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salverai -
Rod Stewart will perform at the Queen’s Jubilee tomorrow.

You’re in My Heart (The Final Acclaim)
Song by Rod StewartI didn’t know what day it was
When you walked into the room
I said hello unnoticed
You said goodbye too soon
Breezing through the clientele
Spinning yarns that were so lyrical
I really must confess right here
The attraction was purely physical
I took all those habits of yours
That in the beginning were hard to accept
Your fashion sense, Beardsley prints
I put down to experience
The big bossed lady with the Dutch accent
Who tried to change my point of view
Her ad lib lines were well rehearsed
But my heart cried out for you
You’re in my heart, you’re in my soul
You’ll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you’re my best friend
You’re in my soul
My love for you is immeasurable
My respect for you immense
You’re ageless, timeless, lace and fineness
You’re beauty and elegance
You’re a rhapsody, a comedy
You’re a symphony and a play
You’re every love song ever written
But honey what do you see in me
You’re in my heart, you’re in my soul
You’ll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you’re my best friend
You’re in my soul
You’re an essay in glamor
Please pardon the grammar
But you’re every schoolboy’s dream
You’re Celtic, United, but baby I’ve decided
You’re the best team I’ve ever seen
And there have been many affairs
Many times I’ve thought to leave
But I bite my lip and turn around
‘Cause you’re the warmest thing I’ve ever found
You’re in my heart, you’re in my soul
You’ll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you’re my best friend
You’re in my soul -
HSN Diana Ross will perform for the Queen of England Jubilee tomorrow.

Remember Me
Song by Diana RossBye baby, see you around
Didn’t I tell you I wouldn’t hold you down
Take good care of yourself, y’hear
Don’t let me hear about you shedding a tear
You’re gonna make it
You’re gonna take it
Remember me as a sunny day
That you once had, along the way
Didn’t I inspire you a little higher
Remember me as a funny clown
That made you laugh when you were down
Didn’t I boy, didn’t I boy
Remember me as a big balloon
At a carnaval that ended too soon
Remember me as a breath of spring
Remember me as a good thing
Bye baby, see you around
I already know about the new love you’ve found
What can I do but wish you well
What we had was really swell
I won’t forget it, I have no regrets
Remember me as a sound of laughter
And my face the morning after
Didn’t the sky beckon us to fly?
Yes, you’l remember the times we fought
But don’t forget me in your tender thoughts
Please darlin’ oh yeah
Remember me when you drink the wine
Of sweet succes and I gave you my best
Remember me every song you sing
Remember me as a good thing
Remember me as a sunny day
Please darling, remember me as a good thing
Remember me when you drink the wine
Remember me as a good thing
Remember me as a big balloon
Don’t forget me darling -

@Sheba
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Good Afternoon Sheba, its been cloudy all day long. I hope your area is having a better day.
And you are enjoying your beautiful garden and Poppy is running around having fun.
Looks like we are in for some wind and rain, mostly tomorrow. It’s kind of muggy and a kind of stillness in the air.
I am trying to prepare for a mini hurricane, if that is what will come this way. Right now not sure what will be, it’s not gone over the warm waters yet towards Florida. Its perdition is to come across South Florida from the West and out the East side of Florida.
So I am washing everything that needs, making sure enough food will be available if by any chance for whatever reason power is lost.
Well, see you in Trivia tonight. Meanwhile, you have a good afternoon and enjoy your weekend with your hubby and Poppy. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -
That cake looks de-lish!!🍰🍦🎂
No worries – 7 more days, Miss Sheba, and will be a personal milestone for me!🎇✨🎆😘
Setting an alarm to check out Trivia in 4 hours!😊 -
Tomorrow will be mom Saturday, running a couple errands for her on my way over to save sis a trip. Beautiful weather all weekend!🌞😎
Colorado is killing it so far in the hockey playoffs.👍 They were favored at the start of the season to win it all. Hope they are in the finals.🏒🏆 Another thing to celebrate when you see your family. You may even be there when they win.
Blowing butterfly kisses 🦋🦋 to you and Poppy.

In August, it will be eight years that my husband had knee replacement. I know things have improved and people seem to get out of the hospital much quicker these days. My husband had his surgery on a Monday and was released on Thursday. All three days he had physical therapy twice a day. He had to be able to go up a few steps in therapy – I don’t know how high they were – before he was released. My husband is an iron man and really pushed himself. I hear robotic surgery is so much easier and people leave the next day.
I am surprised you will not be in the waiting room or allowed to see him. All the hospitals near me allow one support person per patient. I guess every hospital has their own rules. Where do they expect family members to go during operations? If he is having full replacement, I’ll bet they will keep him overnight. Also depends on what time of the day the surgery is scheduled.💕

Ode to Billie Joe
Song by Bobbie GentryIt was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin’ cotton, and my brother was balin’ hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And mama hollered out the back door, y’all, remember to wipe your feet
And then she said, I got some news this mornin’ from Choctaw Ridge
Today, Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
And papa said to mama, as he passed around the blackeyed peas
Well, Billy Joe never had a lick of sense; pass the biscuits, please
There’s five more acres in the lower forty I’ve got to plow
And mama said it was shame about Billy Joe, anyhow
Seems like nothin’ ever comes to no good up on Choctaw Ridge
And now Billy Joe MacAllister’s jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
And brother said he recollected when he, and Tom, and Billie Joe
Put a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show
And wasn’t I talkin’ to him after church last Sunday night?
I’ll have another piece-a apple pie; you know, it don’t seem right
I saw him at the sawmill yesterday on Choctaw Ridge
And now ya tell me Billie Joe’s jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
And mama said to me, child, what’s happened to your appetite?
I’ve been cookin’ all morning, and you haven’t touched a single bite
That nice young preacher, Brother Taylor, dropped by today
Said he’d be pleased to have dinner on Sunday, oh, by the way
He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge
And she and Billy Joe was throwing somethin’ off the Tallahatchie Bridge
A year has come and gone since we heard the news ’bout Billy Joe
And brother married Becky Thompson; they bought a store in Tupelo
There was a virus going ’round; papa caught it, and he died last spring
And now mama doesn’t seem to want to do much of anything
And me, I spend a lot of time pickin’ flowers up on Choctaw Ridge
And drop them into the muddy water off the Tallahatchie Bridge -

Reconnecting with Friends
When fate brings old friends back into our lives, there is always a reason.
Every person that passes through our lives makes a contribution to our life stories. There are those who play large roles and make deep impressions, but sometimes a brief special appearance before life takes them in another direction creates a meaningful connection. It is a rare gift when they suddenly reappear in our lives after a long absence.
Though the world may seem full of more people than we could ever know, we are often drawn to people with similar energy, which brings us together time and time again. On first meeting, the characters in our life stories may seem familiar. We may know each other from past lives or perhaps we merely recognize the energy of a kindred spirit. But when fate brings old friends back into our lives, there is always a reason. They may act as messengers, reminding us of a part of ourselves we have forgotten to nurture. They might appear to give us a chance to react in a new way to an old situation. They may even bring up unresolved issues so that we may complete them, giving us the chance to move forward on our life path. Whether old friends, previous romances, or once and future partners, their reappearance is more than mere chance. They may never know what they bring into our lives, but the renewed contact is a gift.
If this hasn’t happened to you, maybe you are meant to initiate contact by seeking out old friends. If old friends come to mind or into your dreams, use their appearance as an excuse to get in touch. If an old song or movie reminds you of them, reach out to share the gift of renewed contact. Wherever you fall in the circle of connection and reconnection, be sure to look beyond the surprise of the moment to enjoy the deeper gift that this revelation brings. ✨
