The hospital phoned a couple of times yesterday. The last call was to change the appointment to an earlier time which I was very thankful for. The staff at this hospital are remarkable. From the time you walk in and until you leave they take the time to ask questions and to make your day without a stressful environment. The lobby at this hospital has two pianos. One is a grand and the other more like a synthesizer. Music to me is everything that is not stressful. And, this certainly was a great day. Hubby is now done with the pre-op phase. Our next appointment is Friday late morning with the surgeon and his assistants. On that day I will know what time the surgery is and how early we must arrive prior. I will not be permitted to go with hubby to the room where they will administer the meds prior to surgery. There are several nice waiting areas with real comfy chairs. The couch is gone. I will bring the Kindle and have a choice of reading one of my novels or to master a jigsaw puzzle. I may do both. Hubby cannot eat anything after midnight nor drink anything and that includes water. There are only two prescriptions he can take the day of surgery. As of today no vitamins and aspirin. For pain he can use Tylenol. I’ll be glad when all this is behind us.

Currently, I am working on the living/great room and den. I’m hoping to start the MB tomorrow.
I am tired, but will work on this now so I can do the last bit tomorrow. Our furniture has a four hour window beginning @ 3:13pm. Yes, you read that right. 3:13 pm. Have no idea how they came up with that figure. Prior to the doctor appointment on Friday, I will need to take a measurement of the steps leading to the house as well as to the van. He will not be able to leave the hospital until he masters those. I think he will be ok the day of surgery. Pain will not actually set in until Tuesday or Wednesday and should be pain free by the middle of the following week. Of course that depends upon his tolerance. I will be contacting Spectrum tomorrow to schedule that appointment. Thank you for mentioning that they work weekends which includes Sunday. That’s a big help. They will probably be here most of the day changing the cable wires inside and out.

Now it is time to return to getting the house ready for some new and exciting furniture. The beach theme is continuing.
