Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Forgot to mention that I received the bicycle pin. It is gorgeous. Hubby was very impressed with the artistry and the stones that never stop shining. It is so Cape Cod and Nantucket. It is a 10 star for sure.

To continue: I am absolutely impressed with the surgeon and his team. The other surgeon was OK as well, but never took the time to explain what is going on with the knee. It seems the staff still wonders why our first surgeon left for another hospital that does not have a great reputation. I do not think there is one person we have met that can honestly state anything good. Something must have happened to make the first surgeon change his venue.
Seems that the nursing staff and the doctor are more concerned with hubby’s minor stroke than his heart. I explained that the stroke occurred at the hospital in Georgia and they didn’t see it at first because of the location. I also explained what may have caused it in the first place. I completely forgot that the temperature that day was over 100 degrees along with high humidity. Anyway, I also explained that the physician said it was very minor and the likelihood of scar tissue was nil. I just hope he is correct.
I didn’t leave a stone unturned. She answered all my questions and then some. The first two weeks he will be using a walker. I have that in the car so I won’t forget to give it to them on Monday. She also mentioned that the first three months are very critical and that traveling will be limited. No cruising for awhile. No flying either. I forgot to ask about the disable card. I hope I can remember to ask it Monday. One other question may be a home health aide. Not sure if we will need one, but may be something to ask. I also forgot to ask about physical therapy that would include the back. Seems the knee does affect the back in someway. Anyway, I have a list going for Monday I have been told to return home while hubby is going through the procedure. She also mentioned that he will be in recovery for at least two hours and then at some point will receive his first meeting with a physical therapist. He will not be released until he can show he can climb the steps and get into the van without a problem. Way it looks, I will not be seeing him after I drop him off. That’s everything in a nutshell.

We met with the surgeon’s assistant who will be with hubby before, during and after surgery. I will not be able to be with him during the prep time and even following the recovery period. Surgery is scheduled for 9:15 am and will last about an hour. I did do the measurements of the steps leading to our home and will give that info to the physical therapy team. We were with the assistant over an hour and because it was just around the corner from Costco we could not resist going there for a bit of shopping and some refreshments. We now have new pillows for the bed and best of all they can be thrown into the washer and dryer.
Well, I see it is almost time for Trivia. Will write more later.

Hello Sheba, how are you doing? Lot of rain today, the storms came by in the morning and stayed all day raining off and on. On the East side in Brevard county two kids were hit by lightning.
Today I received the 4 Luna Hibiscus. I had called the company after the ones received in March died. I guess they had to grow more. I didn’t think they were going to send it since I didn’t received it after calling about two months ago.
So I went out in the rain and planted them. It’s a good time for that, full Moon on the 14th.
I hope your weather has gotten better.
Have a great weekend Sheba.
See you in Trivia tonight.
