Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Maybe, for some reason, it’s not our time to return North and we need to stay where we are for now. I have no idea what they used for an anesthetic prior to surgery. My guess is that he should not have taken the BP medicine before we left for the hospital. The other scenario could be that he had an allergic reaction. I kept thinking it was dementia or worse case scenario a form of diabetic shock. Never thought of an allergy since hubby keeps saying he has no allergies. I’m just thankful that he is OK now.

@sheba2011 and to all who are on this thread
I really did not have time to myself this morning. Hubby was supposed to take his blood pressure pill with a few sips of water prior to the ride to the hospital. He was fine and in good spirits when he was being led to the post op area. Evidently the beta block for the complete knee replacement didn’t quite agree with him and he started hallucinating thinking he was in Ct.. The surgeon was really concerned and postponed the surgery. He contacted me at home and said hubby was being seen by the neurology department just to rule out a possible stroke. I received another call from the surgeon stating that they were waiting on the results. Moments later the neurology department phoned and everything was good. No stroke. No heart problem. So our guess now is that the block they used for the surgery didn’t agree with him. Or it could be that the BP meds were the culprit. I will be phoning our physician tomorrow to give an update and to see where we go from here. I drove to the hospital soon after and found hubby in the emergency room area. Tubes were all over the place, and I was told everything was normal. Thank G-d we were in this hospital and not the one in Ct.. He was still incoherent, but glad to find out where he was. I discovered that no food is given to a patient in the ER and so I took hubby out for a late lunch. Walking from the car to the ER was no easy task in this heat and high humidity. I cannot begin to tell you how oppressive it is here. We ate lunch at our favorite Asian restaurant and both of us fell sound asleep as soon as we returned home and our heads touched the pillow. I will work on the Master Bedroom maybe tomorrow or the next day. Oh, forgot to mention that hubby fell out of bed last night. When I contact the physician tomorrow I will ask that he run some tests on Parkinsons’ He has some classic symptoms and falling out of bed is just one of them. The only thing he doesn’t have are the shakes that come with it. Some of the symptoms are also similar to what Covid leaves behind. He and Alan Alda are twins on those symptoms. Well, that’s enough for today’s news. Hope you all have a great Monday and like me, you are hydrating.

Hello Sheba, we have a very hot day here. It was Sunny and the thunder started, it was so loud and very sunny. Then came darkness and we had a small shower.
How are you doing today? I feel good today, no complaints ☺.
I hope all is well with Oodiebom and her husband. I hope he will be home soon.
Sheba how is Poppy doing in your hot days there? I like to read about Poppy.
You take care. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 -

Hello Oodie you very brave Lady…..yes you are brave. I know you have your hands full, just let us know what is happening when you can.
You have mentioned to me you didn’t think of yourself brave, at least that’s how I understood. Well you are, it takes a person with lots of wit to do what you do.
Oodie please take care of yourself too. Please eat and drink water, try to get some water with electrolytes when you go shopping again. It’s so hot these days you may need that.
Sending prayers to you and your husband, hoping all is well and his surgery will soon be over.
And you two be home getting better with each day.
Take Care Oodie 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 -
Hot and humid at least through Friday, the storms passed north of us last night but more are predicted tonight into tomorrow morning.⛈ I hate storms at night because I can’t sleep or see what’s happening outside. Turned the air on this morning, no open windows this week.😖
Poor Oodie, nothing is ever easy, this will be a setback for their trip north unless they can reschedule the surgery quickly. I hope it was just nerves.
Hockey final is set, Colorado vs. Tampa Bay starting on Wednesday.🏒 Good luck to both teams. Movie tomorrow with mom and sis🎬 and probably late lunch after. Sending hugs back to Oz.🤗

@oodiebom: I’m so sorry today isn’t turning out like you expected it to. Personally, I never schedule anything on a Monday. Guess I’m just superstitious, but more bad news tends to come my way on Mondays than any other day of the week.🙁 I hope all turns out well for your husband and you. Praying for you both.🙏💙💗💜😘 -
Good morning in California still as always wishing you and your family a blessed day. ✨

Tears
Tears are as natural to us as breathing and there is beauty in allowing yourself to be open to the pain of tears.
How wonderful it feels to give in and let tears flow when we are overwhelmed with emotions, whether we are happy or sad. Tears come from the soul, from our well of feelings rising from deep down. When we give in to the prickling behind our eyes and the lump in our throat to let teardrops fall from our eyes, we allow our feelings to surface so they can be set free.
Proud parents shed tears of pride in a child’s accomplishments, a baby’s first step, birthdays, and graduations. Long lost friends fall into each other’s arms, tears rolling down their cheeks when they reunite after years of separation. Tears may flow from us when we are witness to a commitment being made at a wedding or even while we are watching a love story. Tears of relief may spring forth from our eyes when we hear that a loved one has survived an ordeal, and tears may fall when we bow our head in sorrow over a loss or death. Tears born from heartache can flow like they’ll never cease, whether our tears are for a love that is over, a friendship lost, or an opportunity missed. We shed tears because of disappointment in ourselves, tragedy in the world, pain, and illness. Tears of anger can burn with emotion as they fall down our faces. Tears offer us a physical release of our feelings.
Shedding tears can sometimes make us feel better, although it can feel like the tears will never end once the floodgates are open. There is no shame in letting tears flow freely and frequently. Tears are as natural to us as is breathing. There is beauty in allowing yourself to be vulnerable enough to shed tears. Open up, release your tears, and let your feelings flow. Amen! ✨✨
