Hubby was surprised and I did it because I knew the temps would be hot and I did not
want him out there doing lawn stuff I help also. The pro comes to my elderly neighbor
every week I simply asked if I needed him could I have his number well he gave it to me
and from time to time I will use him. My husband likes to do his own yard he loves working
outdoors. 😎✨Hubby loves warm weather and is a sun worshiper so I don’t want him
to be exposed too much. I wear a large hat when I am out with Poppy my skin is perfect. 😎✨

As a former model you learn a lot of tricks of the trade but in recent years a lot of research
has gone into how the sun can give people skin cancer I am so glad I use sunscreens
and moisturizes all my life.

I know you are thinking of your dad and may he RIP. The love will never go away. ✨
My dad has not been gone two years yet and I feel like one day I will get there. 💕

Hi and no I am not offended. I have considered getting a railing or something for the bed for some time. However, it’s a catch 22 or whatever you call it. Hubby enjoys sleeping at the edge of the bed. Doesn’t matter if it’s a King size bed or a Queen. For the past year or so he has been having nightmares and tries to act them out. Sometimes his arms go out swinging. Sometimes he talks in a foreign language. There are times when he is lashing out with his arms I have to do what I can to control him. He is extremely strong in these moments. He is in a very sound sleep and does not remember the entire dream only that someone is running after him and he is trying to get away. A bed rail I do question because when he is in one of these dreams and is trying to get away I wonder if he would cause more damage to himself trying to escape. Coming across to the bed rail is a huge worry for me because he does not recognize his strength in these dreams. Since “MASH’ is hubby’s favorite show even in reruns, it was recently that I saw a post from Alan Alda. In it he explained that he had just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. It took three years for him to tell the doctor that he wanted to be tested for this disease after reading a medical article. It seems Alan Alda and my hubby share the same things. Falling out of bed, arms flailing all over the place, feeling he is being chased, etc.. What is happening is that he is actually acting out of the dream. Doctors think that if you don’t have a limb that shakes, then why bother with tests. My SIL, had anxiety problems. It took years before doctors realized that she had Parkinsons. No, she did not have any other problems or showed any of the most common symptoms. As far as I know, no one in his family had been diagnosed with Parkinsons. No one ever mentioned it. Since the family was spread out, closeness was never there. Seemed the only time they saw one another was at a funeral or a wedding or a graduation. Hubby had a neurological exam last Monday. They ruled out no stroke, but now I wonder if that same exam could detect Parkinsons. With the right medication he may never fall out of bed again. Yes, I am worried and very concerned. I will keep you all posted.

What a difference a day makes. We had the bedroom and kitchen windows open all night and when I got up at 6:30 to make coffee☕, I had to close the kitchen window and put a light robe on because I was cold!🥶 Although I did have the summer pj’s on which is a camisole and shorts. Gorgeous sunshine, strong breezes and normal temps made for a great day.🌞🌫😊

Ran some errands on the way to mom’s and spent a few hours with her and sis. Sis going to Chicago the week of July 4th so I will be on mom duty. She also booked another cruise⛴ for when she goes home so now she has one planned for September, October and November. She may as well just get a job on a ship.🙄

Going to enjoy these next couple days of wonderful weather. We will be 75 on Tuesday and back to 90’s on Wednesday through the rest of the week. Happy Father’s Day to your husband and dad!👨‍❤️‍👨 Can’t decide which cocktail I want, may try them all – what else is new?🍷🍸🍹🥂

Good Afternoon. It is hot here today. The heat index today in our parts is between 105 and 112, It’s about 95 here as I type. I need to go out and pick up some prescripts and mail a letter, however hubby fell out of bed and this time hit his forehead on the surge protector which he moved from the back of the nightstand to the front. Not a bad cut on the forehead, but scary for both of us. I just had him read the story of Alan Alda’s parkinson’s and he noticed the similarities. Enough so, that I will contact our physician to follow up. Though there is no way to test the blood for this, some kind of neurological exam may show something.

I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall to see your husband’s reaction on the lawn. I would not be at all surprised if he hires these people to do the lawn at least once per month to start and increase it to twice depending upon what needs to be done. I finally was able to contact the person who does our power spraying and he scheduled us for July 9th. I’m wondering if we will still be in the area or on our way North. For now I will keep the appointment.

Today is my dad’s birthday. And yes, I still miss him and it’s over thirty years he’s been gone. Their anniversary is July 2nd. So between May and July, I spent quite a bit of $$$.
