Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hubby is doing OK. In another two weeks it will be a year since he took sick while on route North. I will be in no hurry to repeat last year’s trek.
Hubby still falls out of bed and I am having a difficult time trying to get him tested for Parkinsons. His sister was diagnosed and I think it was a brain scan that showed the disease. Hubby does not have any shakes, but then again neither did his sister. I also did not realize that there were other symptoms. Her’s was anxiety. If my theory is correct, then the medication that is prescribed will end the falling out of bed. This is caused by dreams in which the person acts out the sequences. In hubby’s case he is being chased by someone or something and is trying to get away. You can almost say that the episodes are a form of acting. Somewhere there has to be others in his family that had Parkinsons. It’s just that the family was never close and he never kept up with his aunts and uncles or cousins. I surmise that his parents had a lot to do with that decision.
The progress on the house is taxing and slow. But as each day goes by I can see a difference. I’m hoping that I can make a dent in the Master Bedroom. Unfortunately there are boxes to go through and then I will be able to move things around and dust, vacuum and wash the floors. The air purifier is really helping. I just wish hubby would get out of bed more and give me the extra help. There was a huge difference last week because of the block the surgeon used. So I hope we will be on track for the surgery sometime this month. I surmise we will not hear anything until the week following the fourth. That’s Ok with me. Gives me more time to get things done and to get our cable redone as well as contacting the electrician to check some of our outlets outside and indoors as well. I think I mentioned these before. At least the list isn’t getting longer.
Hoping you three have a great weekend. I know you can purchase his food in Colorado, but it is sometimes better to carry some so you do not have to go out and about when you arrive.
Stay safe. Enjoy your bunnies. -

Thanks for asking about the strawberries. I always carry my pills with me wherever we go. I used to carry the epi pen, but never had to use it, thank goodness. The Benedryl is the same pills or substance that the hospital uses through the IV. I have the same or similar reaction when I eat too many foods containing sulfites. I surmise that the strawberry is a sulfite since other’s have voiced the same thing. Hubby must have forgotten my allergy and he was shocked when he noticed the swelling in my hands. Told him that I found some strawberries in the sink as I was doing the dishes. So now he will be doing the dishes.
I found a four wheeled cart many years ago that opens up where you can store some of the small shears along with potting soil. This thing also has a seat so you can do some of the weeding. For the ones that you have to bend down to pluck out, I have another seat that when you turn it upside down you can kneel on it and when you need to get up, there are handles on either side that are very helpful. Sometime over the weekend I will do some of the pulling and tugging. We usually have weed day on Wednesdays which also includes clippings from trees and shrubs. The other thing I carry is water and lemonade, however, I’m only out for an hour and then go on to other things. I have someone coming a week from tomorrow to power spray the outside, driveway and the lanai.
Have a great weekend. Don’t overdo the bending.

Who’s That Girl
Song by MadonnaWho’s that girl?
Who’s that girl?
When you see her, say a prayer and kiss your heart goodbye
She’s trouble, in a word get closer to the fire
Run faster, her laughter burns you up inside
You’re spinning round and round
You can’t get up, you try but you can’t
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
You try to avoid her, fate is in your hands
She’s smiling, an invitation to the dance
Her heart is on the street, tu corazón es suyo
Now you’re falling at her feet
You try to get away but you can’t
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Light up my life, so blind I can’t see
Light up my life, no one can help me now
Run faster, her laughter burns you up inside
You’re spinning round and round
You can’t get up, you try but you can’t
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Light up my life, so blind I can’t see
Light up my life, no one can help me now
Who’s that girl
Now, who’s that girl?
Now, who’s that girl?
Now, who’s that girl?
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina
Who’s that girl?
Quién es esa niña?
Who’s that girl?
Señorita, más fina

On Broadway
Song by George BensonThey say the neon lights are bright on Broadway
They say there’s always magic in the air
But when you’re walking down that street
And you ain’t had enough to eat
The glitter rubs right off and you’re nowhere
They say the women treat you right on Broadway
But looking at them just gives me the blues
‘Cause how you gonna make some time
When all you got is one thin dime
And one thin dime won’t even shine your shoes
They say I won’t last too long on Broadway
I’ll catch a Greyhound bus for home, they all say
But they’re dead wrong, I know they are
‘Cause I can play this guitar
And I won’t quit til I’m a star on Broadway
I won’t quit til I’m a star on Broadway
No, no, no, no
I won’t quit til I’m a star on Broadway
Do do do do… -
Nights In White Satin
Song by The Moody BluesNights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I’ve written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I’d always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can’t say anymore
‘Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh, how I love you
Gazing at people
Some hand in hand
Just what I’m going through
They can’t understand
Some try to tell me
Thoughts they cannot defend
Just what you want to be
You will be in the end
And I love you
Yes I love you
Oh, how I love you
Oh, how I love you
Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I’ve written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I’d always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can’t say anymore
Yes I love you
Oh, how I love you
Oh, how I love you
Yes I love you
Yes I love you
Oh, how I love you
Oh, how I love you
Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bed sitter people look back and lament
Another days useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colors from our sight
Red is gray and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion -
