Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Peace Out Peeps! Enjoy your evening and stay safe and cool. ✨✨

Hi. It is cloudy here also. 94 degrees the last time I checked and that was around 2 pm, The humidity isn’t as bad, but as far as I’m concerned it is hot hot hot.
I spoke with the assistant to the orthopedic surgeon and gave her an ear full about our appointment with the neurologist. I have no idea if he will give the OK for the surgery. We have an appointment tomorrow to go through everything needed for surgery and to discuss any concerns.
This neurologist contradicted every question I asked and as you know I do not stay quiet for long. To tell me that my sister-in-law did not have Parkinsons and that my hubby doesn’t have it because he isn’t shaking is ludicrous. I cannot begin to tell you how many physicians and specialists my sister-in-law had appointments with until she was finally diagnosed. And hubby falling out of bed is not a symptom either. Told me to go purchase a bed rail. I will if everything turns out to be nothing. Right now I have a concern with a bed rail because he has nightmares that he is being chased. Arms fling out every which way. Legs also. He has no recollection that he is doing this. I’m just afraid if I put a bed rail up, that when he has one of these dreams/episodes, he will not be able to get away and can cause major damage to himself. Hubby is very strong when this happens. It takes every ounce of strength to get him to calm down. It’s almost like someone else has control of his body and yes, it can be scary.
Good luck tomorrow. Please keep me posted. You are right, there are many procedures that can take care of this situation. So many advancements with the heart in the last twenty or so years. My mom had a heart problem in which the heart was beating too fast. At the time of this illness there were many roads she could have taken, but she didn’t want to go to Boston or to Yale. But it was scar tissue in the abdomen that caused her death. Again, today, there have been many inroads to deal with this problem.
Again, good luck tomorrow. I will be thinking of you and hope all goes well.

Hello Oodie, how are you and your husband doing?
We are hot and dry here. The skies go dark and then the Sun comes back out with no rain.
Oodie today would have been my mom’s 99th birthday, she was a Leo. I had been lucky in my life of work to have had two different boss ladies that were also of the sign of Leo.
Oodie remember when you wrote this to me: “I also like the fact that you never say you cannot do such and such. Instead you say and think “I can try.” No is not a word in your vocabulary. Nor are the words, “couch potato.” Instead of complaining, you go about the day as if nothing is bothering you”. It was a few months back.
Oodie, that was my mom to a tee. She was exactly like that. Me on the other hand, I can be quiet lazy at times😁. But other times I remember my mom and try to put one foot in front of another and do what must be done.
I would say to my mom that she was going to live until 93. Unfortunately she had a stroke and passed at 77. Today I am thinking and missing her.
Tomorrow we are going to see the Cardiologist. Going to ask lots of questions and perhaps set an appointment for the procedure.
I hope you get your call from all the doctors offices you need to see. But if you don’t, call them, July is gone. August is almost here, the hospitals will start filling up again.
Take care Oodie 🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴 -

Hello Sheba, how are you today? You must be busy, you multi tasking lady☺️
it’s a hot day here. Couldn’t stay 10 minutes outside without being drenched.
Today is my mom’s birthday in Heaven, she was a Leo. We were the best of friends.
I do miss her a lot, when I eat something or see something on TV I think of her. She would like this or that, she enjoyed a glass of wine. Remember the wine called Mateus, its from Portugal. Also a wine called Riunite, this one wasn’t expensive at all.
Take care Sheba 🦋🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋🦋 -

A Life of Learning
Earth school provides us with an education of the heart and the soul.
Life is the province of learning, and the wisdom we acquire throughout our lives is the reward of existence. As we traverse the winding roads that lead from birth to death, experience is our patient teacher. We exist, bound to human bodies as we are, to evolve, enrolled by the universe in earth school, an informal and individualized academy of living, being, and changing. Life’s lessons can take many forms and present us with many challenges. There are scores of mundane lessons that help us learn to navigate with grace, poise, and tolerance in this world. And there are those once-in-a-lifetime lessons that touch us so deeply that they change the course of our lives. The latter can be heartrending, and we may wander through life as unwilling students for a time. But the quality of our lives is based almost entirely on what we derive from our experiences.
Earth school provides us with an education of the heart and the soul, as well as the intellect. The scope of our instruction is dependent on our ability and readiness to accept the lesson laid out before us in the circumstances we face. When we find ourselves blindsided by life, we are free to choose to close our minds or to view the inbuilt lesson in a narrow-minded way. The notion that existence is a never-ending lesson can be dismaying at times. The courses we undertake in earth school can be painful as well as pleasurable, and as taxing as they are eventually rewarding. However, in every situation, relationship, or encounter, a range of lessons can be unearthed. When we choose to consciously take advantage of each of the lessons we are confronted with, we gradually discover that our previous ideas about love, compassion, resilience, grief, fear, trust, and generosity could have been half-formed.
Ultimately, when we acknowledge that growth is an integral part of life and that attending earth school is the responsibility of every individual, the concept of “life as lesson” no longer chafes. We can openly and joyfully look for the blessing buried in the difficulties we face without feeling that we are trapped in a roller-coaster ride of forced learning. Though we cannot always know when we are experiencing a life lesson, the wisdom we accrue will bless us with the keenest hindsight. Amen! ✨✨
