Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Thanks, Sheba. At this point, it’s all up to God.🙏
I wanted you to see this pic, but I don’t know how to post them here, so if this doesn’t post, here’s the URL, so I’m sure you can post it or at least see it, right?

Hi xango and a good evening to you. No rain today. We had high humidity and temps. You would think that being on the coast things would be different. Anyway, seeing that you haven’t driven your hubby’s vehicle, did you ever think of contacting the Heart Association to see if someone could drive both of you to the hospital and pick you up and bring you home when the time comes. I know in New England we do have organizations that can help with things such as this. This is just a thought. Also check out Lyft. They were the ones that drove me to and from the Rehab Center that was 20 miles in both directions. As luck would have it, the person who drove me the first day was my driver the entire time hubby was in rehab. You might say he was my guardian angel.
Funny, you never drove your husband’s vehicle. I was the same way. Only problem, I had no way of returning to Florida from Savannah unless I drove. Because of hubby’s leg freezing up, he was told not to get behind the wheel. Also, at that time his memory was not as good as it is now. However, when push came to shove as the saying goes, I got behind the wheel, put the key into the ignition and I felt like the van belonged to me. Once on the highway, the next step was to fill the tank. This was something I never did before. But I did it. Of course, the pump had directions and it was easy from that time on. Wish we lived closer to one another. You wouldn’t have this problem. Let me know what you decide to do.
In case you use Uber, if there are problems, they do not have a person to contact or speak with. Customer Service is non existent. They do have one for their drivers. Please check their web site to see if they have one now. Then again, it could be different depending upon the State you are in. Take care of yourself. Make sure you get some rest. Oh yes, definitely bring a book or an android with a way to recharge if need be. Hospitals should have their own WiFi that is opened to patients and visitors. I will have Kindle with me next week. I downloaded tons of books and of course I do have my jigsaw puzzles with Amazon. It’s one of their free perks. The pieces turn like regular puzzles. Plus you get two free ones per day to enjoy.

Hello Sheba, I hope you and your husband had a great Sunday.
Thank you for the loving hugs. They are truly appreciated.
As I walked outside today in the front yard there were lots of butterflies. They love the milkweed and there’s lots of eggs and caterpillars too.

I am trying to get the house in order. In case we need help should hubby need a bypass. His brother will come down to help out. We go for Pre-op Tuesday and the procedure on Friday.

I just finished cooking for the freezer😄. I made short Ribs on top of the stove with onions, carrots, celery, garlic, tomato paste. It turned out delicious, I can have it with rice or polenta.😋 Or just bread and salad.
I also made bolognese sauce which I separate into small containers for the freezer. I enjoy eating with pasta and polenta too.
Tomorrow I want to make some soup for the freezer. A cup of soup and a salad is enough in these hot days. My meal today was two hard boiled eggs and a large salad. I like to keep a jar of Oliver oil with Oregano and smashed garlic. And that’s what I use for dressing. I also like to drizzle some on the hard boiled eggs, I cut in half and a pinch of salt, it’s very good. Dessert was a huge Georgia Peach, they are really good this year.
Also the nectarines, juicy and delicious.

Thank you again for the caring hugs, hugs to you.
Take care Sheba 🦋🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 -
Good Evening. It’s about 10:15 pm and I just turned the lights out in the house. Before locking the front door, stuck my head out and the humidity is very high. No breathable air. The A/C is on and I will set it at 74 before retiring. I realize the temp may seem high but the overall feel is like the mid 60s and we will also go down a couple degrees.
I worked in the kitchen and it is looking good. Just need to wash the sink and the window sill. Hubby will try to wash the floor. Tomorrow will be a busy day. I do need to clean the inside of the oven, but will wait for a cooler day.
I am tired, but I can now see the light at the end of the long tunnel. Hubby’s procedure is next week and he will start therapy while in the hospital. I will be contacting Spectrum either tomorrow or Tuesday for sure. The house may not be totally done, but at least hubby will be able to move around more. At some point next week or the following will need to look at some window treatments for our den windows. The sun is very bright and I worry that it may change the color or our new loveseat. Right now I have a throw going over the back.
No rainbow. No rain. But the spoonbill is back. I do have shrimp and will offer a few when he comes around again. I have a feeling he flew in from Pa. and the Orlando area. He looked very tired. And the cloud yesterday was something else. That V took up my entire kitchen window which is a double with slider. No way would I have missed it. The only cloud in the sky. Amazing is all I can say.
Thank you for sharing your time at the cemetery. I think your dad really enjoyed the flowers and the butterfly will probably swoop over and around them. Yes, I still shed a tear over my dad. I miss him every day and most of the time his smile. Funny, I never knew my dad until I was 16. He had a heart attack which kept him home for quite a few weeks. Owning the pharmacy, he would return home around midnight and then be up at 4 am to return to the store in time for all the newspaper deliveries. The store opened daily at 6 am including Sundays. There are times, even now, when something happens I wish I could pick up the phone and call him. You were a great daughter and should not have any regrets. Being with him on good and bad days was something he looked forward to and also lived for. I really feel he just got tired of being ill. I know you feel bad not seeing him the day he passed. But, in my heart, I feel he wanted to leave before you arrived. He wanted you to remember him the way he was and not the way he looked at the end.
Now, go and enjoy your evening and the walk in the moonlight and star studded sky. Stay safe.

I can feel you I know what you are going through. My heart goes out to you.
I will be thinking of you all day tomorrow all of us will. I have to hades and back
and the girls have been there for me through every turn. This Thread is eight years
old I wanted a thread that was a little different and any one can relate. Many people wrote me privately when we had that option and they read it every day
and that is what I mean when I say with affection Peeps. 😘✨That is my term for
Peeps who like to look many say they don’t leave a comment but they enjoy the
images, fashion and music. I have done this for eight solid years this I did on my own.I have been in Trivia the other thread since Trekky was doing it. 😎 I have changed the
thread 17 times and that is not a lot I know I need to change it more.I am trying to take your mind off of things I do love hearing about your family in Brazil.
I especially love the stories of your mother as long as you talk about her and share your
memories she will always be with you. ✨🌹
