Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Thank you for the Hanukkah greetings. We are both OK, though hubby at times is forgetful. But, this I can handle. Well, that is, as long as nothing ends up behind or under the frig or inside. So far that has not been attempted. Yes, he misplaces things, but the bloodhound within me seems to find most things lost.
Our roof is still not repaired and if we do not hear anything after the first of the year, will send a note or two. Weather will not be in their favor until a few days after Christmas and that could be the reason for the delay. Actually, I like this better so it can give me a few days for the electrician. As long as we can restore power to our shed that is all I ask. The men will need an outlet for their tools. I may ask for one more outdoor outlet if possible.
I am happy that your sister and your mom are not travelling this weekend. Better to stay warm at home and be safe as well. Maybe dinner prior to New Years may offer a better selection and a possible solution. Like, you, we will have gusty winds through the weekend and I surmise more of our roof will come down. Take care. Enjoy your games. Stay warm and cozy.

Good evening. It is Ok on the Gulf. We hed some heavy rain and now it’s down to a shower. I took our van into Firestone to check out the problem. Checking the manual on line said the indication on the dashboard could have been transmision or something with the brakes. So, I ventured out to the car to see what our manual said and the more I looked at the two pictures, it looked like tires and then I started praying. Contacted Firestone using the internet and made an appointment for this afternoon. It turned out to be a tire and we opted for a new one. That was the only problem and I smiled all the way home.
We will start feeling the temps dropping tomorrow afternoon. Still have to decide where to put the outdoor plants. I surmise I will bring them into the house after my hair appointment. The weather people are stating that this weekend’s cold front will be the coldest on record for Florida in the last 20 years. But, I remember a two week period in 2008 or 2009 when we had a cold spell that lasted a good two weeks. That was the year when the iguanas fell from the tree tops and most survived.
Guess your kids will be on their way to Oz soon. Hope they have a safe day. Sure Poppy will love the extra attention and treats. Oh, now I realize we both had the same outcome with the eye drops. I have never experienced pain with them prior, so do not know what caused this mishap. Ok today. Well tomorrow is Trivia. Hope to be there. This week went way too fast.
Hope your pipes are OK. Stay warm by the fire and enjoy a hot chocolate or two or three or more. I have all the fixings here as well. Stay safe. Hope Charlie is OK.

Getting ready for the storm to hit early morning and all day Friday. The wind scares me the most, hope we don’t lose power or any trees come down.🌨🌪
We decided to stay home Christmas eve and not go out for dinner. By Sunday, other than being cold, things should calm down so will probably take a ride over to mom’s. Can’t ever remember not seeing mom on Christmas.🎅🎄
Watching the game, it is tied. Hope they win for sis since she rarely goes to a game.🏒
Hang in there, don’t turn into an icicle.🥶

The Ronettes Lyrics
“Sleigh Ride”Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring tingle tingling too
Come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you,
Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling yoo hoo,
Come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy and cozy are we
We’re snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be
Let’s take the road before us and sing a chorus or two
Come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you.Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy and cozy are we
We’re snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be
Let’s take the road before us and sing a chorus or two
Come on, it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. -
What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve
Song by Ela FitzgeraldWhen the bells all ring and the horns all blow
And the couples we know are fondly kissing
Will I be with you or will I be among the missing?
Maybe it’s much too early in the game
Ah, but I thought I’d ask you just the same
What are you doing New Year’s, New Year’s eve?
Wonder whose arms will hold you good and tight
When it’s exactly twelve o’clock that night
Welcoming in the New Year, New Year’s Eve?
Maybe I’m crazy to suppose
I’d ever be the one you chose
Out of the thousand invitations you received
Ah, but in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance
What are you doing New Year’s, New Year’s Eve?
Ah, but in case I stand one little chance
Here comes the jackpot question in advance
What are you doing New Year’s, New Year’s Eve?
Oh, what are you doing New Year’s, New Year’s Eve? -
My Favorite Things
SongRaindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver-white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream-colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver-white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad -
This Christmas
Donny HathawayHang all the mistletoe
I’m gonna get to know you better, yeah
This Christmas
And as we trim the tree
How much fun it’s gonna be together, yeah
This Christmas
Fireside is blazing bright
We’re caroling through the night
And this Christmas will be
A very special Christmas for me
Presents and cards are here
My world is filled with cheer and you
This Christmas
And as I look around
Your eyes outshine the town they do
This Christmas
Fireside is blazing bright
We’re caroling through the night
And this Christmas will be
A very special Christmas for me, yeah
Shake a hand, shake a hand now
Fireside is blazing bright
We’re caroling through the night
And this Christmas will be
A very special Christmas for me, yeah
Shake a hand, shake a hand now
A hand now
Wish your brother merry Christmas

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year
Song by Andy WilliamsIt’s the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you be of good cheer
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and happy meetings
When friends come to call
It’s the hap-happiest season of all
There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
There’ll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago
It’s the most wonderful time of the year
There’ll be much mistltoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When loved ones are near
It’s the most wonderful time
Yes the most wonderful time
Oh the most wonderful time
Of the year
