Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi and a good evening. Hope you have a great weekend. A bachlorette you are for the next three days or so. Reading on the deck????? Shopping????? Being with sis and mom????? Whatever the plan, have a great time doing whatever comes to mind. Just be safe. And yes, I also saw your post from yesterday on the Harley. Left you something…….
We are looking at August 24th as the new date for surgery. I have asked for an overnight if that is possible. Will know more tomorrow morning because it has yet to be confirmed with the hospital. I just realized it is two weeks from today. Yikes…….I better get restarted on things. Never a dull moment here…….

I wrote something and it never made it……So what else is new?????
We finally made it to the Farmer’s Market and what a time we had. I had said I wouldn’t be buying much. But that turned out to be famous last words. What you should be asking is what didn’t I have in my carriage. There were native tomatoes both from Florida and North Carolina. Pluots of every variety imaginable. Dragon fruit both the yellow and the hot pink. Lychee nuts, the one with the huge pit. Homemade chicken salad to die for. Homemade corn chowder. Dill pickles which they make along with lox. Honeydew melon already cut. Georgia peaches. Vidalia onions. Fresh caught wild fish. And last but not least their homemade bread just out of the oven. Oh yes, before I forget. A bit of Kansas. Bunches of sunflowers along with seedless watermelons. A great time for both of us. Oh, almost forgot. Bing cherries.
After we unloaded the van and started to relax before putting things away, the phone rang. I completely forgot that I had left a couple of messages to the surgeon’s assistant. What a nice person. Anyway, the phone call was to set another date for the surgery. We are looking at August 24th which is OK. She just has to confirm the date with the hospital and will contact us tomorrow morning. She also will check on admitting hubby the night prior which should help him from raiding the frig. At least this way he will be given his prescripts and a light snack before midnight. My only question is where I will be on day of surgery. That will be answered either tomorrow or when he is admitted.
Oops, you know what tomorrow is?????? Recycle day. I almost forgot and I need to get started. Our people do not show before noon, but I will at least get the blue thing out to the curb tonight. Thank goodness it has a couple of wheels so no lifting involved. Tomorrow I will also do the trash. We have trash pickups on Monday and Thursday. And now one more thing I need to do and that is cleaning the frig. The freezer is done. I will now get into the down and dirty clothes and will get started. Take care. Enjoy your evening walk with Poppy and maybe Hubby. Stay safe. No rain today. High temps and humidity. Well, I need to get a move on. Talk to you tomorrow.

Hi and a good afternoon to you. On the folding chair thing, I would certainly ask the nurses for a better seating arrangement because of your hip and back. Even a pillow would help somewhat.
As far as the pain with breathing. Hmm…..in some cases the surgeons may have broken a rib or ribs to get to the area needed. Some people can take the pain better than others. There is medication for this. It will take an extra few days for the inside to heal while almost no time for the skin to come together and do it’s thing. Have patience with the healing process. Things will come together and your hubby will definitely start to feel better, especially when he is moved from ICU to a room. He is also probably seeing a respiratory therapist to help him circumvent different areas to give him more mobility and freedom. As I said before, some people can tolerate the pain better than others. But, eventually this too shall pass. This is also one reason why I asked if your home was on one floor or two. If the Master is upstairs, your hubby may have difficulty climbing the stairs and also going down. You may want to make a bedroom downstairs for a bit. Hopefully, you have a bathroom or powder room on the first floor. These ideas you should take up with his surgeon and the nurses. In most cases someone will explain the temporary arrangements to make his life a bit easier for a few weeks. You will also go over an exercise plan which will enable the heart to fully recover and to continue with after everything is done and this is just a memory. The operation is painful but in the ensuing days things will get better and everything will come together.I am happy that you now have company and people to help you along the way. I am sure that your BIL who had a similar experience last year will guide you through everything. Oh yes, if you like, why not bring a pillow from home to use on that lousy guest chair. Even a quilt or throw would help. I will be facing something similar in the waiting room when my hubby finally has surgery. I was told I could not be in the lounge area where the chairs/seats are conducive to backaches. These chairs have fabric, whereas, where I will be, is rough vinyl. Not good. But for a few hours OK.
I now have another date for the surgery. Well, a possible date that has to be confirmed with the
hospital. We are looking at August 24th. The thirteen weeks now puts us to the end of November beginning of December. Not sure if returning to the North at that time will be feasible. But, that is something we can figure out when the time comes and see how the healing goes as well. As I said before, don’t use a timetable. Everyone is different. Once the breathing is mastered, the rest will come. By the way, I always have a quilt and throw in the van all year round just in case. I cannot begin to tell you how often I have used both on the long trips heading North and South. Oh yes, I also add bed pillows just in case. Please try to get some rest. Eat something and keep yourself hydrated. Very important. Loved your note. Keep the chin up and give encouragement when needed. Bet hubby is better today than on the day of surgery. I also think weather may be in your favor for the next couple of days. That also helps in recovery. Have a nice evening. Stay safe.

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴👡👡👡👡👡Hello everyone, thank you all for all your prayers and well wishes…..just a quick hello and update.
Hubby is still in the recovery room, lung function still needs improving. The pain is hard for him and the lung exercises are hard and painful. He doesn’t have the power to do because of how painful it is.
His older brother is with me, he too had the very same surgery last year which my hubby flew up to Minnesota to help him.
His middle brother is coming over this weekend to help out.
Right now I am not sure when hubby will be moved out of the ICU.
I am hoping by tomorrow he will be moved.
The chair they have in the is a folding chair, hard and extremely uncomfortable. Made my back and hip more. There is no room f8e anything else.
Thank all for all your prayers. 🌴🌴🌴🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋👡👡👡🏝🏝🏝🌷🌷🌷 -

Whale Medicine
Like the whales, we each sing a unique song that heals and uplifts our collective.
Native Americans teach us that the Great Spirit speaks to us through our animal brethren. The whale is one animal that we can learn from. Whales have existed for over 50 million years and are considered to be record-keepers who possess knowledge of the past.
It is through the vibrations of their unique sound that they release this ancient wisdom to us. At the same time, their sound carries across such great distances that whales can enter the realm of the future where they can acquire knowledge of what is to come. Every whale sings a song, and they never repeat the same pattern when they sing their song. Since whales must be conscious at all times in order to breathe, they cannot afford to fall into an unconscious state for too long. Never completely asleep, their brain has constant access to the collective unconscious where all answers lie. Whales float peacefully, secure in the ocean environment that supports and sustains them.
You can learn from the wisdom of whales by remembering to express what’s uniquely yours. Each of us has a unique “song” or gift to offer the world. Your song is meant to be sung by you and heard by others. No one else can sing this song but you, and your song is medicine for the healing of the planet. Like whales, you can choose to access information about the future when you go into a meditative state. Whales teach us to look at where we came from and where we are headed. Knowing that our past helps shape our future, we can remember to make positive choices regarding our lives, the environment, and our world. Like whales, we can remember to stay awake and actively engaged in a universe that supports and sustains us. When we express ourselves and share our unique gifts, we add our wisdom and vibration to the planet. Amen! ✨✨
