Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I enjoy reading about the adventures of your backyard, which is so similar to mine in the Northeast. I had friends that lived about 15 miles South of us in Ct.. Their backyard was similar to ours in that we had acreage and many animals visiting. They had racoons that they started to feed. Guess it was a family of 4 or 5. During one summer, they purchased a kitty pool and from a window inside they watched the antics of the racoons in the pool. They sometimes left fruit in a bowl (like grapes) and the racoons would use the pool to wash them and munch away like we do when we are in the tub.
The other story is mine on the Cape. We have a huge deck that goes from one end of the house to the other. I was cooking some food and the door at that time to the deck was by the stove. I would keep that door opened during the cool days of spring and summer since it had a screen. This one time I was making dinner and evidently it smelled real good because there was the mother racoon and her baby on our deck wanting to come in. I had to close the door because the baby tried very hard to get his paws on the screen handle and wanted to come in for a morsel. So, I fed them mainly fruit and veggies. Left it on the deck and the two of them came by every day for about a month. I have no idea what happened to those two, but remember how they put the claws on whatever was outside and very delicately ate. Racoons are so cute and friendly, though I never tried to get close to them. Food is very scarce for them these days. You may want to put out some fruit and veggies with the cat food and watch from a window. Or, just leave some fruit and veggies in a bowl without the cat food. Put that food out after they leave. Your tabby may be watching from afar, so leave something later for him.
I am OK. The swelling in the finger is no longer. I was able to take the Benedryl immediately and though my throat became inflamed, it never reached the height where my hubby would need to call 9-1-1. Actually, the hospital would give something similar with a higher dosage through the vein to counterattack. However, my worse allergy is to strawberries. But for some reason there are times that it does not affect me. But, I never take the chance. And, yes, I do carry my allergy pills with me at all times. That and the pink Pepto Bismal pills just in case I eat something with Sulfites. It’s a lot easier to carry the pills than the bottle of liquid and it works just as fast.
I hope xango is getting some much needed rest. Things may be a bit easier when her hubby is home. I also hope that her hubby will start exercising as soon as he is able. His heart will love him for it. My hubby started doing some work around the house today. I hope he continues to do so. The extra hands do help. Take care. Stay safe.
