Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi. We have had rain and some good thunderstorms as well. It started to rain here around 8 pm. However, we had dark clouds this afternoon, then the blue skies started to show. When the sky began to show the dark clouds again around 7pm or so, I thought it was the beginning of our night sky. I cannot complain. We need the rain and every drop helps.
On the bike situation. Did you ever think about a three wheeler for grownups? They come in all different sizes and weights. And of course all different price points. Hubby bought me one a few years ago. However, it was a surprise so I never had an opportunity for an input. This bike is very heavy and extremely hard to pedal. I have tried others that are more manageable and also a bit smaller. They are also ones that are motorized that look like a ton of fun. But, me. I rather use the legs to keep the muscles happy. Just take a look when youo have an opportunity and see if it is right for you.
Well, need to return to KP duty. Hubby is off to a great start. Keep up the good work.

I was wondering how your sister made out on her flight and you answered that question. I am thinking that though that was a very early hour, she may have enjoyed that more. At least she arrived at a great time and was able to run errands before actually getting home. How fortunate you are that you have a sibling that cares about her mom and is able to give you a break. My hubby has two sisters. Neither one ever gave us a hand in preparing meals, going grocery shopping, keeping doctor appointments, etc., etc.. One sister was just 12 miles away and the other two hours by car.
Best news is that your BIL is now home. And, yes, I agree that every day he feels OK is good news. For now, I hope and pray that it will last and he won’t have to visit the hospital anytime soon. And, thanks for the prayers for my hubby. Surgery is two weeks from tomorrow and I hope it gets done. As far as heading North. We will take each day as it comes before making any decisions. Weather will have to be in our favor for at least 10 days since I’m looking at November or December before he will be given the all clear.

We had a thunderstorm Friday that really scared me. The lightning struck something outside and not sure what. Thank goodness the windows are all OK and of course the A/C. I did unplug everything prior to the storm so the phone is working as well as the computer. I was surprised that I was able to play Trivia. Then yesterday morning we lost cable, wifi and some electrical. Twice I asked hubby to check the board and twice he felt it had to do with Spectrum and Florida Electric, so I let it past. However, yesterday afternoon Spectrum had sent a note that cable in our area would be out for awhile. Then about four hours later they announced that everything was repaired. Still no electrical. Phone and Wifi are now back on. Happened to go into our den this afternoon and decided to watch a bit of TV. Tried turning it on and nothing happened. After about 10 minutes, got up to check cable and saw that it was off. Hubby checked t he breakers and a miracle happened……..
No, did not work on the MB. I worked outside in the heat and humidity trimming the bushes in the front. The few days of rain made the bushes grow and instead of one bush that needed trimming, it was all of them. I lost count after three. I also started cleaning our garage area and moved a few things out of the way. There is more to do. I have a landscaper coming tomorrow morning to give me a price on ridding the side area of stone and putting in a lawn. This would certainly be easier for me on the weeding. I do not like using chemicals to kill the weeds because there are two dogs next door and also wild animals that come and go. And of course the ever present geckoes. We do have someone who comes every other week to mow. But to do anything else is like pulling teeth. The person that is coming tomorrow does everything without being asked. But then his price may be out of sight. We shall see. I am doing KP tonight. Hubby kept saying he would help. But I do not like things piling up, so I will get the job done. Well, the stove beckons. Hope you have a great evening and a wonderful day tomorrow.

Hello Sheba, looks like you and your hubby had a great bike ride. How lovely it must be, I probably told you that I can’t ride a bike. I had an accident with a bike and it’s rider as a child in Brazil. From then on I don’t like to ride.
The tulips are beautiful. 🌷🌷🌷🌷
I made hubby some shrimp and chickpea flour pasta for dinner. I sautéed onions, bell peppers, sliced carrots, set them aside. I had shrimp already made in the freezer. I also sautéed a handful of snow peas all in olive oil. Then I combined them all together with a few table spots of tomato sauce. It must of been good, he went back for seconds.
We are most definitely blessed to have a caring family. Hubby’s brothers came to our rescue. My family in Brazil wanted to but, it’s like pulling teeth trying to get into the US if you are not super wealthy.
Today it rained again, it’s been raining almost every day now and that’s a good thing.
I hope you had a wonderful Sunday, take care Sheba.🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️
