Hello Oodie, Thank you for your lovely post the other day.
You must be enjoying your Holiday, Hanukkah 🕎.
How are you and your husband doing?
We have the heat on all these cold days. However my old bones feel the chill still.
It’s been so cold we didn’t go anywhere. Been making lots of soup, potatoes and leeks.
And chicken and vegetables. Also had some frozen puff pastry, so made some cheese sticks.
Good luck tomorrow with your insurance company. I hope you can have your home repaired soon and the way you want.

Hello Sheba, yes we are still in the season, enjoy your kids this evening.
Here, one more night of covering the plants. Will do that after writing this.
Just had myself a cup of soup, had a little tea earlier to warm my inners. We have the heat on, it’s been on all these cold days. Somehow my body still feels the chill.
We will warm up towards the end of the week. In the mid seventies, fingers crossed 😄
Hubby goes back to work tomorrow, 4 day week this time. And next week too I think.

Wishing you and your a Merry Christmas. Glad you spent time with your sis and mom. Not a good day to venture out and about. That also was the case on the Gulf. By the way, how is your BIL doing?

I saw the puppy picture of Jake that Sheba posted and I remembered Jake. There have been some real good stories in MSN news concerning Labs. All laughable. Think of you each time I watch their antics. They have tons of personality. Someday, may you open your heart and your home, if possible, to another. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but when you are ready.

Merry Christmas. Enjoy your children and the day. We are a bit warmer on the Gulf. Temp is in the mid 40s and will remain that way through the evening hours. Tomorrow we anticipate the beginning of a heat wave with temps in the low 50s. The end of the week we are looking at mid seventies to eighty degrees. At that time I will try to send you some of our warmth with bright sunshine. I feel for those who lost electricity and for the thousands that lost it due to an attack on their grid.

Our neighbor came over with a bunch of food from a party held at our clubhouse. I didn’t attend because of a food allergy. I did try a few things and later resented that I did. Oh well. I do read every label, even if it means staying extra long at the store. And for caring, we gave her a box of Belgium chocolates. I hope she enjoys them.

Hubby is doing better today. Tomorrow we will be venturing out to go to our Insurance Company and to let them know that we were also had wind damage from the second hurricane, Nicole. No outdoor electrical. Outlets are dead. Have no idea what the repair will cost. Speaking of the lanai, we still have two rolled up rugs for that area. I surmise we will have to wait until next fall to try them out.

Were you able to venture out to say hello to Charlie?

Hope FBN is OK. Maybe he will show Friday. I really hope and pray he is OK.

Very appropro. My mom always opened our home up to those who lost a
loved one no matter the Holiday. She taught me to do the same. It is very
lonely at this time of year. Not a good time to be alone.

Hey wishing you a great week I did see Charlie for only a moment he was sleeping and I
know how Charlie sleeps. I had a nice visit with his parents we have been friends for a long
time and the decorations in their home is stunning but they do that every year. 🌹🌹

The kids are loving being home in their own beds and they love all the things that make
a Christmas Season for me that is family. 😘💕

I love the pic of baby Jake and I thought of you I know you miss him hey I miss him too. 😘

Enjoy this week we will get warmer later in the week this does not feel like a Monday it feels
like a Sunday. 😜

I am glad you had a great Christmas just being with family and good food is enough for me.
The food is for family and I did cook. 😘My daughter and I did a tradition we do all the time
she loves Pumpkin Pie and I love Sweet Potato Pie they both turned out great. 💕😎

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie how are you and hubby doing today?

OZ is 19 degrees so far we have power and our pipes are alright for now. I heard on the
news in some States people had busted pipes all over. YIKES!
