Yes, I am glad the doctor’s office called and explained things. Yes, I am concerned, but not sure of the rehab since they are thinking of the same place that hubby was in a year ago. I left that part of the note with xango. Suffice to say that it is the same ownership, though the staff is different. However, the physical therapy is the same and that doesn’t sit well. At least, maybe I can do some research prior to surgery to see if there are others that have close if not a 5-star rating.

Today, instead of the kitchen I worked on the driveway and walk area to the front of the house. I also worked on the red vines trying to strangle our hibiscus at the foot of our driveway. Our new landscaper will be starting either Friday or Saturday on the side of the house to get rid of the stone and to install grass. This will certainly keep the weeds from growing . Today (since it’s now after midnight), I will put a bench together for the front of the house. Actually, our entrance is on the side. Hopefully, it will be an area where we can also relax and be an area for hubby when he finds that he needs to rest before climbing the steps for entry to the house. I just have a few things left to tweak. No heavy lifting involved. Just sweeping, hosing and putting things where they belong.

So sorry to hear about the kitty. I know exactly what you are going through. I had a male cat that I befriended one wintry night when we had a blizzard. I was already in bed when I heard a cat crying outside our bathroom window. This was our home in Ct., which is a raised ranch. This cat had made his way up to our walkway that led to a deck over the garage. So, I opened the window and with one swoop he was in the house and shivering. His paws were iced cold so I ran lukewarm water into the sink bowl. Took a washcloth and wiped his paws. Then dried them and wrapped him in a towel which he loved. I had an extra quilt and decided to make a room for him in our bathroom downstairs. Those days I had my own stray cat and wasn’t sure how he would react with this one. I made a nice bed with the quilt and covered him. Brought some cat food to the area as well as a litter box (my cat never liked one, all 4 paws would go every which way to avoid it). The next day I brought him back to his home and he growled. So, I brought him back to our house until later when the homeowner was around. Found out his name was Ziggy (I called him Zigzag). Long story short this cat visited us everyday. Climbed to our roof. Kept me laughing. The last time I saw him was just before we left for Florida. He was very skinny. My cat was long gone. He fell asleep on our couch. I guess we both knew when I let him out, it would be the last time we would be together. It was sooo sad. To this day I still miss him. His adoptive parents never took good care of him. I am glad he came to us. And, yes, my cat became his best friend.

Take care of this kitty. Give him lots of pets. He has to be in some pain and the heat and humidity are not his friend. I wish there was some kind of medication that could help. Sometimes a second opinion may have different answers. Who knows.
