I thought I had ended too abrutly, but see that it was just a fast note. It’s after 2 am and so far all is OK. Earlier I had finished the laundry for the carry on and hubby joined me and then went to the lanai. It was a beautiful evening looking out over the lake. Hubby grabbed the items in my hand and said he would bring everything too me later. Well, he didn’t. When I said I thought I ended abrutly it was because I had seen lightning that at first I thought was just the heat. But the next one there was a small rumble of thunder and I shut down immediately. Guess I fell asleep and when I awoke started packing. Noticed the clothing that hubby was holding was no where in sight. Put the light on in the kitchen and then went to the den to check the lanai. Well, the clothing was on the chair. So went out to a sopping wet lanai and wet clothing. I am in the process of rewashing and will do the drying in the morning. I will use these as extras in case he is in rehab. I will have tons to do when I return after the surgery. Depending on what time I leave the hospital will determine if I can stop at the Farmer’s Market. Good ad this week. Yes, we made a trip to Aldi’s yesterday. Red grapes are on sale and I have to say they are sweet and sooooo delicious. However, I have to count the amount I eat due to sulfites. At least, for now, we have veggies. Hopefully, I will get the rest on the way home.

I was hoping to change the linens tonight, but that went by the wayside. I will be stripping the bed before leaving and hubby will just have to wait a few minutes for me to do that chore. Have a new mattress cover that will have to unfold on the bed for a few hours. I am hoping this will make his back feel a bit better. Though I have tons to do when I get home, I will let you all know how things are even if it’s brief. So far he hasn’t tried to eat or drink anything. Well, I need to get some sleep. I set the alarm for 7am so we can be out the door by 8:45 am. Thank you all for your prayers and sentiments. I will be lucky to get 4 hours of shut eye. Good night all. Be well.

Just wanted to wish you well & wish you & your husband much luck on getting through Monday. Since he isn’t staying there overnight tonight, if the rule is no eating & drinking after midnight, please be watching him like a hawk!!

No rain today, But yesterday on and off for most of the day. Nothing really accomplished except for laundry. Still not sure what will happen tomorrow. Hubby has to be at the hospital by 9:45 am, though surgery is not scheduled until after lunch. I assume it is to meet with the Case Manager and to decide where hubby goes following surgery. I assume it will either be an overnight hospital stay or one or two weeks in rehab. I think the rehab is to help me out so I can get something accomplished. At least, that is what I have been told.

Hello Sheba, I hope you are having a great Sunday afternoon.
Another day of thunder storms and rain, it’s been almost every day now. However I will take a thunder storm rather than a hurricane.
We took an Uber to the grocery store to get hubby’s medications. And took the opportunity to get a few things. Mostly fruit and some vegetables which I enjoy looking at and picking just the right ones. The other items I will order on line and prefer to have it delivered. Especially the heavy items, hubby can’t lift much yet.

Hello Oodie, I know you are a busy lady today and most likely doing many things at one time. Please if you are able get some rest too.
I will be thinking of you tomorrow and will be sending our prayers your way. Family in Brazil as well. Already reminded them for prayers today and tomorrow.

Good afternoon to you. Have spaghetti boiling in the pot right now for dinner with a small salad.🍝🥗 Hoping your Chiefs start the season off right.🏈 Watching the men’s tennis final.

We had some rain overnight and this morning so my plants are happy, too.😊 Taking mom again tomorrow to order a chair and, hopefully, a rug and we will be done. She has already asked me for help with Christmas gifts so that will be next.

Yesterday while we were eating in a restaurant my husband brought up Jake. Both of us had tears coming down.😥 Don’t know why we can’t get over him. So I’m sending the hugs and kisses I would be giving him to Poppy.🤗🥰🐶
