Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Rest up for Mom Friday. 😘✨I hope she loves the rugs and other things.

This should give you a great idea for the outdoors I will be working on mine in a couple
of weeks. 😎✨ Charlie and Poppy get along just fine. I have been taking care of him all day.
I don’t mind. I love this cat. 😘 -
I am so pleased that the Physician called you back. I hope all can go forward now. ✨
I know your husband’s health is the number one thing you are concerned about right
now. 💕😘🌹Oodie I just don’t want him to be in pain.

There’s a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us somewhere
There’s a time for us
Someday a time for us
Time together and time to spare
Time to look, time to care
Someday
Somewhere
We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving

Somewhere a place for us
Time together with time to spare
Time to look, time to care

We’ll find a new way of living
We’ll find a way of forgiving

Hold my hand and I’ll take you there

I am so happy for you and your husband remember my husband had a heart procedure
it was mild but concerning because he was in excellent health. This can happen to anyone
at anytime. Hubby took ten days off from work and was back on the saddle. ✨😎Just keep doing what you are doing. I have some things to say but I am waiting for the
right time. I don’t think there will ever be a right time. I may write about things tomorrow.Enjoy your evening with your husband.

Hazy Shade of Winter
Song by The BanglesTime, time, time
See what’s become of me
Time, time, time
See what’s become of me
While I looked around for my possibilities
I was so hard to please
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hear the Salvation Army band
Down by the riverside
Bound to be a better ride
Than what you’ve got planned
Carry your gun in your hand
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That’s an easy thing to say
But if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend that you can build them again
Look around
The grass is high
The fields are ripe
It’s the springtime of my life
Seasons change with the scenery
Weavin’ time in a tapestry
Won’t you stop and remember me?
Look around
Leaves are brown
And the sky is a hazy shade of winter
Look around
Leaves are brown
There’s a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There’s a patch of snow on the ground
Look around
Leaves are brown
There’s a patch of snow on the ground -

I Am a Rock
Song by Simon & GarfunkelA winter’s day
In a deep and dark December
I am alone
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow
I am a rock I am an island
I’ve built walls
A fortress deep and mighty
That none may penetrate
I have no need of friendship, friendship causes pains
It’s laughter and it’s loving I disdain
I am a rock I am an island
Don’t talk of love
Well I’ve heard the word before
It’s sleeping in my memory
I won’t disturb the slumber of feelings that have died
If I never loved I never would have cried
I am a rock I am an island
I have my books
And my poetry to protect me
I am shielded in my armor
Hiding in my room safe within my womb
I touch no one and no one touches me
I am a rock I am an island
And a rock feels no pain
And an island never cries -

Scarborough Fair / Canticle
Song by Simon & GarfunkelAre you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine
Tell her to make me a cambric shirt (in the deep forest green)
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
(Tracing of sparrow on snow-crested ground)
Without no seams nor needle work
(Bedclothes the child of the mountain)
Then she’ll be a true love of mine
(Sleeps unaware of the clarion call)
Tell her to find me an acre of land
(A sprinkling of leaves)
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
(Washes the grave with silvery tears)
Between the salt water and the sea strands
(And polishes a gun)
Then she’ll be a true love of mine
Tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather
(Blazing in scarlet battalions)
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
(Generals order their soldiers to kill)
And gather it all in a bunch of heather
(A cause they’ve long ago forgotten)
Then she’ll be a true love of mine
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine -

Mrs. Robinson
Song by Simon & GarfunkelAnd here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Whoa, whoa, whoa
God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
We’d like to know a little bit about you for our files
We’d like to help you learn to help yourself
Look around you, all you see are sympathetic eyes
Stroll around the grounds until you feel at home
And here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Whoa, whoa, whoa
God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Hide it in a hiding place where no one ever goes
Put it in your pantry with your cupcakes
It’s a little secret, just the Robinson’s affair
Most of all, you’ve got to hide it from the kids
Coo, coo, ca-choo, Mrs. Robinson
Jesus loves you more than you will know
Whoa, whoa, whoa
God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson
Heaven holds a place for those who pray
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey
Sitting on a sofa on a Sunday afternoon
Going to the candidates debate
Laugh about it, shout about it
When you’ve got to choose
Every way you look at this, you lose
Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?
Our nation turns its lonely eyes to you
Woo, woo, woo
What’s that you say, Mrs. Robinson?
Joltin’ Joe has left and gone away
Hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey -

The Sound of Silence
Song by DisturbedHello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams, I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
Then the sign said, “The words on the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls”
And whispered in the sound of silence -
Hi Sheba and to all on this thread. This morning I had a phone call from a neurologist’s office that was totally unexpected. Our primary physician contacted them and it took less than a week for an answer. I am amazed. Some questions were asked and one of them is dealing with hubby’s night time actions when asleep. I will need to keep a diary of sorts as to when he falls out of bed and what happens prior and after. I also mentioned that we have been trying for surgery reconstruction of the right knee and they will need to know why it has not happened. The Neurologist’s assistants seemed to ask the right questions and it seems they will listen. I did check his background and it was not only impressive, but he has a 5 star rating. Most said they would give him more stars if they could. I contacted our primary and thanked them. Maybe now I can get to the bottom of this thing and if not, at least I tried. But, I do feel we are on the right path this time. Oh, one more thing. A letter came in the mail. The neurologist we saw is giving up his practice and will be teaching. Not sure if that is the right move for him. To teach students not to listen to their patients or to the patient’s spouse is not a good thing. Actually, not taking the time to listen and to make a decision prior to the testing is also not good. To not question the whys and whats leaves me with a bad taste all around. This time I think we are in good hands. At least I hope so. Hubby’s appointment is Columbus Weekend. Cannot wait……Looks like we will be here through the winter. I do not care at this point when we head North. I just want him well.
As soon as the house is where it needs to be, we will both be starting an exercise program. There is no room here for any machinery, so will be using DVDs and of course walking the beach when we can.
I love hearing about Charlie. Reminds me so much of Ziggy. He spent most of the time with us and hated his family. I can still hear that growl. I hope that with your love and the good food you have for him will slow the spread of the cancer so he can live a longer happy life. And the fact that Poppy isn’t jealous is an even better. Hope you see the rabbit soon. The rain may be keeping him away or he/she has outgrown the area and has moved to his own place.
