Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi in Oz. BIL is not doing too well, very weak and a little disoriented.🙁 They tested him for a stroke but that was negative. They had to use a mobile swing to get him back in bed yesterday. Nothing is ever easy or goes as planned with him because of all his issues. He was told that it would be a rough recovery if they had to cut him.😥
Another nice day, storms coming tonight and much cooler weather. My best friends are just getting over covid. Husband feels okay and she is still so-so. Both had negative tests as of yesterday.😊
Hockey season officially started yesterday so I will have games coming up.🏒 Enjoy your cooler weather and don’t work too hard in the yard.🍂🍁 Hugs to Poppy and Charlie from Jake.🤗

Wisdom Of The Owl
Owls are patient messengers, bringers of information and the holders of wisdom, and capable of seeing the unseen.
For as long as humankind has recognized animals as teachers, wise people have recognized traits worthy of respect in both wild and domestic creatures. The cultural and spiritual significance of certain animals transcends geographical boundaries. But the majestic and mysterious owl has, for over many millennia, served as the focal point of numerous contradictory beliefs. Though owls have been regarded with awe and fascination, they have also served as agents of fear. Since owls are nocturnal, human-owl encounters tended to occur at night and likely when the bird was swooping silently down to earth to grapple with prey. Yet even as some shied away from the owl, calling it an agent of darkness, others recognized the depths of awareness in beautiful owls’ eyes.
In the classical Greek tradition, an owl could often be found perched on the shoulder of Athena, goddess of wisdom, while owls could ward off bad luck in Roman lore. It is in Indigenous American mythos that the owl attains its own unique identity. Owls are patient messengers, bringers of information, and the holders of wisdom, and they are capable of seeing the unseen. With their keen eyesight, they can glance into the soul to discern meaning and motive, and they are totems of truth. Unlike our distant forebears, we may never encounter an owl in the wild, but we can nonetheless internalize the wisdom of the owl by attuning ourselves to its most venerable qualities. Fully integrating the medicine of the owl into spiritual existence is a matter of considering how we might open ourselves more fully to the wisdom that can be found in the larger universe.
Should you find your efforts blocked as you commune with the owl, remember that it was not always revered as an icon of wisdom. This denizen of the nighttime has overcome many prejudices in its long association with humankind. To reveal those hidden elements of the self that impact your life for better or for worse, you must often make your way through the darkest parts of your soul. There is indeed darkness both inside the self and outside the self, but like the owl, you can transcend it by drawing nourishment from the insights you receive when you penetrate it. AMEN! ✨✨

Hey there in the ‘burgh. 😘😎✨I am so glad you had a nice luncheon with your friend.
I think it is fun to just get out to do the little things we took for granted during the Covid-19
lockdown. Lady this is the first week in forever I do not know anyone with Covid-19.My next door neighbor had it but I am a wise woman I put on my mask and gloves the
poor man looked pretty bad. Little did I know he had Covid-19 he just thought he was
dying he finally went to the ER and that is where he found out he had Covid-19. I don’t
think I would have went into his house had I known that. Anyway I was very careful. How is your BIL doing? I hope I am not bothering you when I ask about him it’s just that
GB Surgery is very tricky it gets rid of the problem but can bring more with the pain. I would
not be shy about asking for pain meds this is one surgery you don’t want to fool around with.Hey blowing a kiss to you and Jake’s Canvas from me and Poppy. ✨I am keeping an eye
on our security camera to see if Charlie is out and about then I will have him. 😘😎 -
