Good evening Oodie, how are you and your husband?
I am hoping you will hear from the insurance company soon.
Husband left the house just before 6AM, got there within 45 minutes. It’s faster then going to Orlando, less traffic.
He enjoyed his first day, lots of getting to know your way around. Getting his ID and access to the computer and so on.
He was able to climb the stairs. First he just try it out, since he had no problem he went up two floors.
I wish we didn’t live so far from each other, I would come over and give you a hand.
Do be careful in moving things around. Is there a young, strong neighbor that can help?

Kudos to you for being a great Chef. I think we all are good cooks.

Oodie can cook too so can Shoelady60. Fall is my favorite time to cook.
I can have the windows open and the Oven on without sweating it.

We have more leaves and they were heavy and wet so this is another weekend job. 😎😜

How is Poppy and Charlie doing?
Husband had a good day at work, got there early and was able to leave work a little before 4PM. He said he was able to go up the stairs. First he wanted to just try it out. Then he said he had no problem so he went up two floors. 😆
I made him a vegetarian burger and veggies for dinner. I made me some Brazilian Pastel. Chicken Pastel, it’s fried and has dough so hubby can’t have any.

I think I can relate how your BIL feels and I know it sucks. I will say a prayer for him to heal
faster and better. I hope your SIL is doing alright this has to be hard on her.

The rain was wonderful during the dawn hours this morning. I saw the Hunter’s Moon
last night and it was so beautiful I slept like a baby. We had a thunderstorm with all the
works around 3:00 a.m. 😎The rain and thunder woke me up and I put my head under
the covers. LOL!

Guess what we have trash and recycle day tomorrow it is not a Holiday for us. No worries
I do my recyclables all week long but I do take a little time to do the Trash!!! I love throwing
things away. 😜✨

We are 60 degrees right now. I am fine with that.

Oodie be careful in the Shed if you need help I would ask someone to help me. I don’t want
anything to fall and hurt you.

Funny, we are supposed to get some rain today and tomorrow and then one day with cooler temps. That’s the way it is usually in Florida. Just when the temps are in the 60s the next day it’s back to the mid 80s. Meanwhile, I have been out to the shed moving some things around in hopes they won’t get wet.

It is extremely muggy here. Hardly any air. But work needs to get done and things put back in place. I left a couple of messages with the Insurance people and thus far have not heard from them. I surmise they are up past their elbows with other customers calling who are worse off than we are. The few insurance companies that remained in Florida are having a difficult time. I fear many will be leaving when everything is said and done. I am also hearing that many in the Ft. Myers area and the Islands never bought Flood insurance. I surmise it was due to the cost. Not sure if this will also impact the insurance companies as well. Florida legislature has been very laxed in the response.

On that note, I am heading for the shower. Hope you four have a nice evening. Take care.

Just wish I could be a fly on the wall to hear how your hubby enjoyed his new position and in a new building. Most of all, how the ride went. Hope the ride was less stressful for him and of course no bumper to bumper traffic.

Weather here is very muggy. I assume it will be raining shortly. Need to cover a few things in the shed. I was able to bring some of the electrical things inside. Funny, I needed to clean the shed. Guess now there is no excuse but to get it done. Best part is looking forward to some cooler temps, even though it’s only for one day.
