You are right, another nail biter and not the outcome we wanted.😣 I’m sure the Chiefs could have made it down the field in that last minute for a field goal. Oh, well, on to next week. Hockey game was another good one last night and not too close.👍

Taking mom to get her nails done tomorrow and try to fix her computer.💻 She knows how to look at emails but that’s about it and starts clicking all over the place. Then I have to be the geek squad and try to fix it, something I really hate doing. Between her and my husband, I am teched out!🤪

My original note went poofed along with everything else. Had to sign in again. Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I now have at least 8 or 9 contacts to call. It’s a catch 22 here where you need a contractor prior to the roof. I do have a few roofers in mind and we shall see what tomorrow brings. Meanwhile we had a huge thunderstorm yesterday early evening with wind and torrential rain. We lost more of our roof in the shed and also the den. If we can find the right person to plug those holes until we find the right contractor, that would be great. Tonight more rain is expected through tomorrow morning. Yep, as the story goes, “when it rains, it pours.”

Today it is sunny with temps in the mid 80s. Absolutely beautiful. Tomorrow will be a nice day and then we will get our first real cold front beginning Tuesday for at least a week. Temps during the day will be in the 70s and nighttime will hover between 50 and 55 degrees. For people like us, it’s cold. Especially when you think of the mid 90s with the humidity at 100%. And to think it will be colder in New England. According to the weather people this will be the coldest October on record. Thankfully, no snow is in the forecast, though they haven’t ruled out the chance of a dusting to one or two inches. Florida will be spared this time. Not sure of the lower regions where they grow the oranges and other wonderful fruits.

I know you are busy raking leaves with hubby. When you are finished for the day, I would take my sinus meds and use the nose spray even if you do not have any symptoms. If anything, it may keep the headache at bay.

Enjoy your evening stroll with Poppy and looking at the moon. Take care and stay safe.

Hello Sheba, good Sunday to you and your hubby.
It’s mostly sunny today but we are still in the high eighties with the evenings in the high sixties. I just wished we stayed lighter longer, the sun goes down just before 7PM.

It’s always difficult to deal with the loss of loved ones. We get left behind, feel the pain, and as humans we deal best we can.
This October makes 52 years my dad died of cancer. I still remember taking the bus from Marlow Heights, Maryland to Washington, DC. It’s funny, I remember that I went, and by myself as a young teen 13 years old. Don’t remember if I had to take more than one bus or how I actually got there.
He was an a award for cancer patients terminally ill. What I remember is bringing him chocolate bars, he liked chocolates.
This was while my mom had two and sometimes three jobs in one day. I think I said this before. My mom would clean a bowling alley at night. Then go clean houses during the day.

I love my KitchenAid mixer, used it yesterday for the French bread. Hubby gifted me one from QVC before they merged with HSN. It’s a large one, the professional Plus 5 with the lift and 10 speed😀 For smaller jobs I use the hand held one.
I saw a recipe on Facebook for bread, the person was using a KitchenAid making the dough. However the person was abusing the machine, using an extreme high setting speed to knee the dough. Where the entire mixer was moving and jumping around. There is no need to do such a thing like that. 😬😬😆😆😆

Your dinner sounds delicious you are a good cook too Oodie. 😘✨We are in the 50’s right
now as I type this post. We have sun so it’s not bad at all. Hubby and I will be working on
more leaves around the house this afternoon. Mother nature can be funny she has a way
with those leaves. LOL! 😜

Good afternoon in Florida. ✨😘Oz has a little chill but sunny. 😎I have been posting
the Kitchen aid mixers because I have always had one and so did my grandmother and
my mom still uses her Mixer. I cannot function without my Kitchen aid appliances. ✨

How are you and hubby today? I so enjoy your post about your family. I could almost taste
the garden and it’s vegetables. I love your cousin’s garden the pomegranates sounds
delicious my husband loves them. 😘Glad your meal turned out great. Hey I may look into
the plant covers to protect my plants during a frost. Great idea. 😜

Today is a somber day my husband’s brother passed a year ago today from cancer and yes
his memory is a blessings I have been talking to his two daughters. ✨🌹
