Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

What I really do not like is the run around I’ve been getting. You think that the people are coming out to see what needs to be done and to give you a quote and then nothing. No phone call, no nothing. Funny thing is when you try to contact them, there is no one answering like an office, and sometimes no voice machine where you can leave a message. I surmise these people may be “fly by nights.” The bright side is that we have an Insurance Company that is trying to help.
Hubby is doing better though he is not quite there yet. As you know I had to cancel his neurology appointment this week because there is no place where we can have a virtual appointment. I am working on that issue as I use the keyboard. I have one area that is opened and behind me still a myriad of boxes and things to put elsewhere. That’s tomorrows job. The kitchen is in good shape except for washing the floor. Hubby said he will tackle it. So good to have those extra hands now.
Your meal tonight sounds awesome. I am on my way and will pick up xango. Oops, gotta look for a warmer coat and will tell her to bring one also. The temp is 70 something here. Well, at least we don’t have to fly to the mid west where they will be getting several inches of the white. stuff. Take care. See you soon.

Thanks for the post yesterday. This couple is very helpful, but not sure if he will do the entire job. I am just happy that he can patch things up so we won’t have to worry when it rains. I will also contact our Insurance Company to see if we should contact the building inspector so we know what we are up against and what we should do. The shed is like our basement. We keep the appliances that we don’t use that often in there along with garden supplies and our bikes. Our neighbors probably had a leak from Ian and now they have black mold. Guess I was lucky that I wiped most things down and moved them to dryer areas. I think that is where our helpful person was today. He said that he told them to move back to their other home (thankfully they had not put it on the market) until everything is in order. That is also a huge job.
What a beautiful week this has been. Warmer temps in the mid 80s and no humidity. Your hubby must have a beautiful ride in the mornings with the sun just coming up and thankfully, no glare in the windshield. To think in a couple of weeks we will be setting the clocks back an hour and it will be getting dark between 4 and 5 pm.
We still have not made a decision about returning North. At this point, we really want to get the roof and den taken care of. Also do not know if hubby wants to go ahead with the knee surgery. The surgeon gave us an OK to travel North and to see if he can have that taken care of there. As I said before, not absolutely sure if that’s the route we really want to do at this time.
Stay well and please be safe.

Hello Sheba, how are you doing. That soup and turkey sandwich sounds delicious. And the pot roast even better.
I hope your step-mom can use some of the information or be inspired to do something to her taste.
Today I find missing my mom, I looked at a picture I took with her when my husband and started dating, and she looked so beautiful.
I started a dough for a French bread (rolls), it’s fermentation will happen in the refrigerator overnight. Tomorrow I will finish and bake the rolls.
Take care Sheba 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 -
Difficult Times
We can also benefit from times of constriction and difficulty to help us grow and learn.
It can be challenging to maintain a positive attitude and a measure of faith when you are in the midst of difficult times. This is partly because we tend to think that if the universe loves us, we will experience that love in the form of positive circumstances. However, we are like children, and the universe is our wise mother who knows what our souls need to thrive better than we do. Just as a young child does not benefit from getting everything she wants, we also benefit from times of constriction and difficulty that help us grow and learn. If we keep this in mind and continue to trust that we are loved even when things are hard, it helps us bear the difficult times with grace.
This period of time in history is full of difficulty for a lot of human beings, and you may feel less alone knowing you are not being singled out. There are extreme energy changes pulsing through the universe at every level, and we are all part of the growing process — and the growing pains. It helps if we remember that life is one phase after another and that this difficult time will inevitably give way to something new and different. When we feel overwhelmed, we can comfort ourselves with the wise saying this too shall pass.
At the same time, if you truly feel that nothing is going right for you, it’s never a bad idea to examine your life and see if there are some changes you can make to alleviate some of the difficulty. Gently and compassionately exploring the areas giving you the most trouble may reveal things you are holding on to and need to release: unprocessed emotions, unresolved transitions, or negative ways of looking at yourself or reality. As you take responsibility for the things you can change, you can more easily surrender to the things you can’t, remembering all the while that this phase will, without doubt, give way to another. AMEN! ✨✨
