Again thanks for the note. I contacted Home Advisor and found they have merged withAngi. Angi does charge a yearly rate, but so far they haven’t asked and I haven’t questioned. Home Advisor did recommend someone, but they never answered either the voice mail or the e-mail and when Angi phoned today for an update, I mentioned it. So happens that this is one of the ones I would not mind getting a bid. Our neighbor was here and now have a partial cover over the lanai. Seems the roof was bent backwards and he was able to move it forward so now I have some covering in the den and shed. He will probably cover the areas with a tarp. He never asks for money, but this time we will be emphatic. I will also purchase a nice gift for them. They will only be here for another week or two and then will return to their home state for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They will probably return on or before the first of the year.

Yes, we do need to return to the North. Back there we have Comcast and right now we do not have wifi or cable. People love Comcast, but after our episode with them during the pandemic, we are not happy campers. Spectrum would have given us a year or better during the pandemic to let us put our services on vacation mode from the date we would have left. Comcast on the other hand started us up again as soon as our winter mode was over. That was the end of April. I had to contact a friend to stop all service.

So happy that your hubby is enjoying his new position. New heart. New position. What more could you ask for. Best part is that he probably returns home more relaxed and has so much to say. Bet he smiles more.

I miss my parents also. However all the pictures are at our other homes. When I enter the Cape House the first pictures I see are of my grandparents. They actually brought me up while both my parents worked. Grandpa would pick me up after school and grandma always had a snack and tea waiting for me. We had dinner together and sometimes I would stay over if my parents arrived too late. Later years I would have dinner on Friday nights and then drive home after. Always phoned to let them know I arrived home. Never a day goes by that I don’t think of them and my parents.

On that note, better get going. Stay safe. Stay well. I will keep you posted on all happenings.

Hello Oodie, I hope you and your husband are well.
So glad you are getting some help, it’s crucial that you get those openings patched up.
And that you keep a strict eye on the areas that got wet for mold. That did run through my mind when you first mentioned that rain came into your den. Be sure the clean anything that even looks like mold is starting to grow with bleach right away.
I know it’s hard to see inside walls, but you might be able to smell and feel it.
It’s been in the 80’s here also, and not so much humidity. It’s more pleasant for outdoors activities now. And I read an article saying LaNină will make Florida less wet this Winter, especially Central Florida.
Going North is a tricky situation, if you drive you most likely run into some rough weather. Would be great if you two could fly and there rent a car for the time while there. Whatever you do, you always know what is best for you and your hubby.
I just hope you are able to get your home here in Florida worked on and finish before the coming year. If the insurance company is not quick enough to give assistance don’t let up on that insurance company. Call them every day if you have to , until you get your answers. 😊 Yes there are people with more problems, but your home needs to get done. Winter will be here soon.🙂

Hello Sheba, we are warm here, had to place the air at 74 in the house. Thank you for the food image, it did bring a smile to my face. The cheese looks delicious with the grapes and bread makes a meal.😋
So glad you had Charlie for two days, he must of been so happy. Wagging his tail and happy.
Hubby does like his new position better than before. His main duties are to teach a group of people how to order medical equipment.
Baked more bread this morning, only four small rolls. But it was awesome, it took awhile. Fermentation overnight in the fridge, but delicious.
Made some dessert for me, Panna Cotta😋. And a berry topping, it’s too fat for hubby’s vines😆 more for me😁.

Another hockey team loss, started off good but now falling apart.🏒 Only 75 more games to get better, lol!😄

Cool, cloudy, rainy day in the ‘burgh.🌧 But it will improve in the upcoming days. My husband did leaves yesterday and today you can hardly see the front lawn so many more came down. He will be working all weekend like you two did last week. That’s one job I do NOT do.😣
