Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Remember the Time
Song by Michael JacksonI don’t know, bet you wanna try
Every time you see
Do you remember
When we fell in love?
We were young and innocent then
Do you remember
How it all began?
It just seemed like heaven, so why did it end?
Do you remember
Back in the fall?
We’d be together all day long
Do you remember
Us holding hands?
In each other’s eyes, we’d stare
Tell me
Do you remember the time
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
When we first met, girl?
Do you remember the time
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
Do you remember
How we used to talk?
You know
We’d stay on the phone at night ’til dawn
Do you remember
All the things we said?
Like, I love you so, I’ll never let you go
Do you remember
Back in the Spring?
Every morning birds would sing
Do you remember
Those special times?
They’ll just go on and on
In the back of my mind
Do you remember the time
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
When we first met, girl?
Do you remember the time
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
Those sweet memories
Will always be dear to me
And girl, no matter what was said
I will never forget what we had
Now baby
Do you remember the time
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
When we first met, girl?
Do you remember the time (oh, I)
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
(Remember, my baby)
Do you remember the time (’cause I remember)
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
(All in my mind, girl)
Do you remember the time (oh, I)
When we fell in love?
Do you remember the time
(Remember, my baby)
Remember the time
Woo
Remember the time
Do you remember, girl?
Remember the time
On the phone, you and me
Remember the time?
‘Til dawn, two or three
What about us, girl?
Remember the time
Do you, do you, do you, do you, do you
Remember the time
In the park, on the beach
Remember the time
You and me in Spain
What about, what about
Remember the time
Remember the time
Ooh, in the park
Remember the time
After dark
Do you, do you, do you
Remember the time
Do you, do you, do you, do you
Remember the time
Yeah, yeah, woo
Remember the time -
China Girl
Song by David BowieOh, little China girl
Oh, little China girl
I couldn’t escape this feeling with my China girl
I feel a wreck without my little China girl
I hear her heart beating, loud as thunder
Saw these stars crashing
I’m a mess without my little China girl
Wake up in the morning, where’s my little China girl?
I hear her heart is beating, loud as thunder
I saw these stars crashing down
I’m feeling tragic like I’m Marlon Brando
When I look at my China girl
And I could pretend that nothing really meant too much
When I look at my China girl
I stumble into town
Just like a sacred cow
Visions of swastikas in my head
Plans for everyone
It’s in the white of my eyes
My little China girl
You shouldn’t mess with me
I’ll ruin everything you are
You know
I’ll give you television
I’ll give you eyes of blue
I’ll give you a man who wants to rule the world
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
“Oh, baby, just you shut your mouth”
She says, “Ssh”
She says “Ssh”
She says
She says
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
“Oh, baby, just you shut your mouth”
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
“Oh, baby, just you shut your mouth”
She says, “Ssh”
She says
Oh, little China girl
Oh, little China girl
Oh, little China girl
Oh, little China girl -
Golden Years
Song by David BowieGolden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Don’t let me hear you say life’s taking you nowhere
Angel
Come get up, my baby
Look at that sky, life’s begun
Nights are warm and the days are young
Come get up, my baby
There’s my baby, lost that’s all
Once I’m begging you save her little soul
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Come get up, my baby
Last night they loved you
Opening doors and pulling some strings
Angel
Come get up, my baby
In walked luck and you looked in time
Never look back, walk tall, act fine
Come get up, my baby
I’ll stick with you, baby, for a thousand years
Nothing’s gonna touch you in these golden years
Gold
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Come get up, my baby
Some of these days, and it won’t be long
Gonna drive back down where you once belonged
In the back of a dream car twenty foot long
Don’t cry, my sweet, don’t break my heart
Doing all right, but you gotta get smart
Wish upon, wish upon, day upon day, I believe, oh Lord
I believe all the way
Come get up, my baby
Run for the shadows, run for the shadows
Run for the shadows in these golden years
There’s my baby, lost that’s all
Once I’m begging you save her little soul
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Come get up, my baby
Don’t let me hear you say life’s taking you nowhere
Angel
Come get up, my baby
Run for the shadows, run for the shadows
Run for the shadows in these golden years
I’ll stick with you, baby, for a thousand years
Nothing’s gonna touch you in these golden years
Gold
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop
Golden years, gold whop whop whop

It is a warm day here on the Gulf. Humidity is back as well. I was hoping for rain, but the dark clouds up and went in another direction and so the sun with a beautiful blue sky appeared. I met with our neighbor and he did a great job patching the roof and putting tarp down in between some planks so that water will not seep through. We will definitely need a roofer and someone else to do the structure. Seems the roofers here do not do the supports. He feels the den is Ok structurally. I will be replacing the existing windows which are single paned. Not sure if we will purchase hurricane or just a double glass. As long as I have screens then I can open them and let the cool breezes in when we get some winter temps. Nothing like the smell of open air on a cool day. As we go through the process of interviewing construction companies and roofers, our neighbor said he will help with this situation. I want to be sure that the replacement is strong and that this will not happen again. Ok maybe not with a tornado, but you get my drift. On that note, guess I better make dinner. Yes, I am tired. But it is a happy one.

Hello Sheba, A walk with Poppy is wonderful 😊
Iam good today. I have been baking bread every day this week. Small batches, that yields 4 small rolls using 200 grams of flour. Today I used 300 grams making 6 small rolls.
As soon as it was baked, I fried up two sunny side organic eggs and had two small rolls with herb butter. It was so good, I surprised myself.
When you hear that knock at your door, it’s me and Oodie coming to dinner 😊
Take care Sheba 🍁 🙂 💕 💜 ❤️ 💓 -
Making Life Work for You
Running your life and your household is a bit like running a business, for which some things can easily be delegated.
Sometimes we have so many responsibilities in our lives, ranging from work obligations to caring for children to running a household, we feel we cannot possibly make it all work. We may feel overwhelmed in the face of it all, ending each day feeling hopelessly behind schedule. However, regardless of how frustrating this can be, these are the parameters that make up our lives, and we owe it to ourselves to find a way to make it work.
Like the president of a large organization, we must first realize that we cannot do every job ourselves. The first step to sanity is learning how to delegate some of the responsibility to other people, whether that means paying someone to clean our house or trading childcare duties with another parent. In addition, we might find places where we can shift our expectations in ways that make our lives easier. For example, expecting ourselves to create a healthy, home-cooked meal every night after a full day of work, errands, or caring for a child may be a bit excessive. We might allow ourselves to order food once in a while without any guilt. Accepting the adjustments needed to make our lives work is an essential ingredient to being at peace with our situation.
At the end of the day, we must come to terms with changing what we can and accepting what we cannot change. Sometimes the laundry piles up, a sick child demands more of our attention than usual, and we temporarily get behind with our schedule. Accepting this momentary state of affairs and trusting in our ability to get back on track when the time is right, we gracefully accept our life as it is, letting go of perfectionism and embracing life as it stands. AMEN! ✨✨
