Hi. Yep, I’m a night owl. There are times that I fall asleep during the day for a few hours and now I’m up making sure hubby is OK. Maybe I’m being over protective, but I do worry especially when he is in pain.

Today I received a response from the company that was here last Thursday. I am debating whether I should contact the town’s engineer for more info on the structure of our den. At the moment we are not using the electrical outlets because of the water and wind that seeped through our skylight opening to the roof during the hurricane and other storms that followed.
The quote was just for the roof, so I am at a loss as to the cost that is definitely needed for the interior. Now I wonder if this company just does the structure for the roof and the roof as well. Not to worry. I will be contacting our insurance company in the morning and see what they suggest. I have updated hubby on everything thus far. However, I am pretty much on my own. There are times that he is in a different world and not that coherent though he tries to be. I have come to the reality that he has the beginnings of dementia or it could also be a number of things. Yes, he is being more helpful and is beginning to lend a hand though he sometimes doesn’t know where to start. And, yes. This is the only quote we have received and the only construction firm that has answered our call. It’s nerve wracking and frustrating at the same time.

Well, it looks like we will be getting some much needed rain starting Wednesday early morning. There will be plenty of wind with this storm and still not sure how fierce it will be. Just hope we have electricity. We should have more info tomorrow. And to add more insult to the fire, we now have to find a new frig. Because the humidity was rampant just prior to the hurricane and for a week following when we had no electricity, our frig is showing rust on the exterior. So tomorrow we will be pricing some models. I’ve done some of the homework on this on line and have narrowed it down to two different models. Yes, there are solutions out there that will attack the rust, however, sanding and painting is recommended after. Rather than take chances that this could also do some havoc on the interior, will look for the replacement. I will take a picture and add it to the list.

Time to get back to clearing the desk and filing things. Take care. Hope Charlie returns tonight.
Healthy food can do wonders for Charlie’s immune system. Wonder if CBD is made for cats. Supposedly, it attacks cancer cells. It’s just a thought. Oh, almost forgot. There’s a lunar eclipse tomorrow morning. Sounds interesting.

Hello Sheba, Happy Full November Moon. My cousin in Brazil said she thought someone was shining a light at her door last night. She went to look and it was the Moon. She said it was so very bright it looked as if it was light at the door.
I think Charlie prefers to be with you, rather then his home. Your home is more comfy for him, his home has dogs if my memory serves right. And being sick, he feels vulnerable, he enjoys you love.
Looks like we are going to get some much needed rain with another storm out in the Atlantic. The cone of uncertainty is pretty much the entire state of Florida. Right now it’s far in the ocean. And the predictions for the central part of Florida is rain, however nothing like Ian.
I know Thanksgiving is towards the end of the month, are you making any plans?
As for me, no plans to go anywhere right now. I know, it’s a bit early to be thinking of it.

Holy smokes, I was up past my bedtime with that game but so happy they won.😊👍 You know me, that is not the kind of game I like in whatever sport.

Went to the doc’s this morning, need to get blood work done so I will see how that turns out. Probably one more test before the end of the year. Blood pressure was up a little, I think I will blame the Chiefs!😮

No Going Back

Sometimes during our spiritual growth, we can feel as if we are going backwards, rest assured you are not.
There are times when we feel that we are spinning our wheels in the mud in terms of our spiritual progress. This can be especially true following a period of major growth in which we feel as if we’ve gained a lot of ground. In fact, this is the way growth goes — periods of intense forward movement give way to periods of what seems like stagnation. In those moments when we feel discouraged, it’s helpful to remember that we don’t ever really go backward. It may be that we are at a standstill because there is a new obstacle in our paths, or a new layer to get through, but the hard work we have done cannot be undone.

Every step on the path is meaningful, and even one that seems to take us backward is a forward step in the sense that it is what we must do to move to the next level. In addition, an intense growth spurt requires that we rest for a time in order to fully integrate the new energies that have been liberated by our hard work. When we feel we are not making progress, we can encourage ourselves to take a moment to rest. We can meditate more, feed ourselves well, and get extra sleep. Before we know it, we will be spurred on to work toward the next level of our development, and this rest will make sense then as something we needed in order to continue.

Once the sun rises, it doesn’t go backward but instead follows its path in one direction. It may appear to stand still for a moment in time, or to move more slowly at some point or another, but really it is steadily moving forward on its path. We are the same way, and once we have moved through something we can never really go back. We may be resting or revisiting issues that seem old, and it’s natural to feel stuck, but in truth we are always taking the next important step forward on our path. AMEN! ✨✨

Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Oodie how are you today? Hey I did read your
post from 2:00 a.m. this morning. I have to say I was knocked out. 😜

I did enjoy reading about your cats and thank you for understanding how I feel about
Charlie. I do believe there is a reason he comes to me. I helped Charlie go to his owners
this morning all I did was lift him over the fence. Charlie kept looking back at me to make
sure I was still there. Hubby and I tried to send him home yesterday but he kept coming
back. I love it when he does that. We brought some good wet Cat Food and he loves then
we have a litter box for him and he goes on the indoor patio and gets up on his favorite
chair and goes to sleep. I watch over him and make sure Poppy does not wake him. 😜✨

Oodie have anyone called you today with a date to start some work on the Roof and Den?
This is such a long process I know you will be glad when it is over.

I am hoping your husband can be seen virtually or in person. Oodie you have a lot going
on. How is your sinuses? I hope you are feeling better too.

Good afternoon in Florida. 😎✨Oz is alright today we are in the 50’s with Sun.

Perfect weather I have been out with Poppy. Charlie has been with me all weekend. 😘💕
Charlie does not want to go home I simply put him over the fence and made him go.
Charlie kept looking back at me and I kept my eye on him. I want him to be safe.
I have had this cat in my life for almost eleven years coming and going everyday.
I will truly miss him when he is gone. Every time he looks back at me I almost wave at
him. 💕

How are things going for you today? You are on a roll with your fresh bread I am sure everyone
would not mind breaking bread with you. 😘✨
