Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi. Yesterday my back ache was real bad. But, I did manage to clean the kitchen bar, make the stir fry and yes, stood in one place to cut the veggies. Even though I was hurting, it came out rather good. The backache had to be a prelude to the rain and cold weather we had today. With temps in the mid fifties (to you that is spring) it felt like the low forties. Shivered in the morning until I put the heat on. When the house felt warmer, turned everything off. Funny, it was warmer outside than in.
Hubby’s knee is a bit better today and the back as well. I am working in the kitchen and at the same time going through the clutter in our dining area. Our town still is doing the recycle and I’m not sure if they will start up again. Seems they have less employees to do the job. So trash is our only pickup now on Mondays and Thursdays.
Tomorrow I will venture out with hubby. It was raining most of the day and the chill was in the air, so stayed home. The weather will be a bit warmer during the week, though another rain event is expected Tuesday. Looks like another cold front will hit us towards the end of the week. Not too bad. Only lasts a few days though the Almanac has given us a different story for next month and possibly into January.
Enjoy Charlie. Give plenty of hugs and kisses to Poppie and do thank him for being so patient.

@Sheba❄️❄️🍁🍁❄️❄️
❄️
Hello Sheba, how are you and did you have fun getting your fruits and veggies?
What fruits and veggies did you get?
And Charlie, does he wear something warm to protect him from the cold? Or is he one of those cats that’s doesn’t like anything on yheir body?
I talked with lots members of my family today. The weather changed immensely and it’s very hot there.
Here is the recipe for the bread I had mentioned. Watching the video will show you how. I am also giving the recipe in case it doesn’t translate into English.
BREAD THAT COMES OUT OF THE OVEN SLICED, SUPER FLUFFY.
This recipe makes two large loafs. You can make half the recipe to obtain one loaf.Butter and flour loaf pan(s) set aside. You can place parchment paper on the bottom of the loaf pan.
1 Kilo of flour, all purpose or bread flour (reserve one cup to work the dough on your counter).
3 Table spoons Sugar
400 ML Warm Milk
3 Table spoons of Oil
4 Table spoons Butter
1 Tea spoon salt
1 pkg of active dry yeast (10 grams)
Egg -Wash (1 egg yolk and 1 Table spoon of milk) for an egg wash.
1 large egg at room temperature
Option- add raisins soaked (30-60 minutes) in orange juice or cognac.
( I use two eggs for a more rich bread, however, will require more flour and more yeast). If you use two eggs use 12 to 13 grams of active dry yeast. And using more flour, its just until the dough doesn’t stick to your hands. You don’t want to over flour the dough and have a bread that is dry and heavy.
It’s easier if you have a stand or hand mixer with dough hook (s).
If not, you can knead the dough on your counter, must knead for ten minutes.
Watch the video so you see how it’s done and how it looks.Sprink active dry yeast into warm milk and stir. Add sugar, butter stir. Add, oil and salt stir. Carefully add the flour little at a time. It always depends on what flour you use, what day it is that will determine how much flour the recipe will take. Using a stand mixer knead for ten minutes. Your dough will be a soft but yet will not be sticky and will not stick to your hands.
Divide your dough to make two loads. Keep half wrapped in plastic while rolling out first half. Roll out form your loaf according to the video. Cut into slices according to the video, which is about the thickness of one finger. Carefully place into your loaf pan arranging it carefully.
Cover it and place it in a warm place allowing to rise for one hour.
Preheat your oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, it will depend on you oven.
Note: Using raisins or any other dry fruit will depend to your preference. 1/2 Cup to 1 Cup should be enough.
This bread makes awesome French Toast for the Holidays.
I will post this again sometime in December in case someone wants to make for the Holidays.
Stay Warm, it was a rainy cloudy chilly day today. -
