@Sheba, How awful. I am sorry for all that you and your family members are dealing with in this terrible accident.
It’s been lightly raining here and yesterday my son drove to visit a friend in OC. I was jokingly telling him that he is not allowed to go because of the rain. I always worry.
Thinking of you and again very sorry for your family.

Go try to get some rest. Stay by the phone, computer, or whatever. Comas, sometimes, are a good thing. It could be that the body is trying to heal. I am positive she can hear every word. That is why I said to tell stories, jokes, read a book to her, anything to let her know that someone is there. This way she is not alone. If in ICU, family may be able to stay through the night on and off. I know I did not return home when my mom took sick and ended up with surgery. We slept in the waiting room.

Our home in Ct. is near a park which used to house a zoo as well. Deer only come near you when they know they are safe. Foxes watch your every move and then take a hike . Racoons are like cats. They are cute and some are cuddly. They like to wash their food before eating. They like what you eat, but love grapes and other fruit. I don’t think we ever saw a bear in our area, but that doesn’t rule out today or tomorrow. We do see rabbits and wild turkeys. On the Cape, the wild turkeys will knock on your door for food and will move away so you can leave something out. Oh yes, then there are many skunks on Cape. And, most are real friendly. Had one living in our garage on Cape and the only way it would leave is by leaving cat food. Hubby and I sat in the van that night watching him/her eat the food until he was away from the garage. We closed the garage door and ran to the fen door. The next night he left us a stench because we made him homeless. I have more stories, but you need some rest.

You sound like you have experience some of the critters it is a cold night.

I have to feed the kitties but I don’t want to feed a big racoon hubby was right behind
me when I screamed. Good thing I have good vision or I could have went out and
played with him. 😜

Oodie Charlie is doing great we spent time together yesterday. Charlie was not out today
as it is too cold. The way I am feeling I walk to his house and just hold him. ✨

I am feeling for my cousin and the good times we had growing up sweet memories. 😘

One good thing on this is that it was night when they are out foraging for food. Some are quite friendly. But, like you, I do not take chances. They are cute on the other side of the window or door . Firing a BB gun in the air is all they need to run away. Hope Charlie is OK. Hope your cousin pulls through If you speak with your family, let them know that your cousin may be able to hear what is going on. Read stories, tell jokes, do fun things until she is better and can understand what happened. I wouldn’t rush to tell that her husband did not make it. Then, again, she may know. I dread going out New Year’s Eve especially when the weather is not in your favor and you know many over indulged, some starting in the afternoon. Take care Sheba. I know. This, too, shall pass. Take care of yourself and hold those close to you real tight. Never forget to let them know how much you care.
