Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Hi and good evening. I apologize for last night. Fell sound asleep playing one of the games and awoke at 1 am and thinking the game was still on. What a surprise I received when I happened to look at the bottom right hand corner and saw it was after 1 am. I had to look two and three times just to be sure. I think being able to get 4 or 5 hours of sleep would be enough, but evidently not. I also haven’t realized the stress my body is under. I know hubby is in a great deal of knee pain and that does not help his situation. He also isn’t eating well. Says he isn’t hungry and then finds the wrong things to munch on. I ordered the Ninja blender and the smoothie maker from HSN. Maybe drinking a combination of things may help that energy level.
This week is very busy. We have the A?C people to repair the ducts. Our doctor appointment is also this week. And of course we have the two days of physical therapy which is one hour both days. I have tons of questions for the doctor and will let you know how that goes. I am really concerned with his heart and why no one mentioned this is beyond my comprehension. I have been unaware of this problem. I guess now that I am giving him his meds and know what they are for, it never crossed my mind. He has been on heart meds for a few years now. So, never gave it a second thought.
Yes, we will both get the booster. I just do not know when and that is one question I will ask our physician this week. Mam is scheduled for January and I do not want any additional surprises.
I also see that there is another variant out there on the Covid and that really scares me. I am hoping that the booster can offset it. Meanwhile, our masks will be on when out and about. May even wear one while the A/C people are here. Guess it is back to square one. -
Hi and thank you for your post. I am overtired which is the least of my problems. Hubby is doing OK except for knee pain. I am also concerned that he is not hungry and therefore not eating right. Consequently, I will begin making smoothies and a few other things that may help his energy level and maybe his appetite. We have doctor appointments this week and I have quite a few questions. Actually, this will be quite the week. The A/C people will be here to repair our ducts. I thank our lucky stars that the temperature has been low and there has been no humidity. We can more or less open the windows and let some fresh air in. Then we have two days, one hour each for physical therapy. This is really helping. I can see the progress. However, I won’t know the outcome until he sees the orthopedist which is just before Christmas.
I must apologize. I was playing a game in between the questions last night and fell sound asleep at the computer in an upright position. I awoke still thinking we were waiting for the next Trivia question when I looked at the bottom of the screen and saw it was after 1 am. . This has been happing a lot lately and probably due to stress. I don’t know if you read my posts during this week when I mentioned that the Physical Therapists wanted to try some strenuous exercises but were afraid to do so because of hubby’s heart. He had a mild infraction over 30 years ago and we were told that it was so mild that iit really did not affect the heart muscle. So I never gave it a second thought. While in the hospital and rehab no one ever mentioned his heart. Just that his sugar was way up. He was on diabetic meds and a few days after we returned to Florida I asked the doctor if we could try our diet plan again. He gave us permission and the next appointment both his cholesterol and the sugar were down a few points. The second appointment was three weeks later and to see a downward trend made me very happy. I am hoping the same this week. Thank you again for your concern.

@oodiebom
Hello OODIEBOM, I hope you are feeling better and you and your husband had a great Thanksgiving Day. I am glad your hubbys step has improved and that he sounds better too.
The physical therapy will give his body more strength too. Perhaps it just takes a little longer.
OODIEBOM, are you alright? You must take care of yourself too, not to overdo.
Hanukkah Sameach OODIEBOM, to you and your husband. -
@Sheba
Hello Sheba, How was your Saturday? I made some chicken stock today, did some laundry and then just relaxed for the rest of the day.
We too have lots of leftovers. Some creative doings is if we dont finish off the roast chicken I will freeze it tomorrow for stock. I cooked carrots in chicken broth and added to the stuffing, making it mostly carrots.
Take care Sheba. -
Peace Out Peeps! Have a safe evening. ✨✨

“Not While I’m Around”Nothing’s gonna harm you, not while I’m around
Nothing’s gonna harm you, no sir, not while I’m around
Demons are prowling everywhere nowadays
I’ll send them howling
I don’t care, I got ways
No one’s gonna hurt you,
No one’s gonna dare
Others can desert you,
Not to worry, whistle, I’ll be there!
Demons’ll charm you with a smile, for a while,
But in time…
Nothing can harm you
Not while I’m around…
Being close and being clever
Ain’t like being true
I don’t need to,
I would never hide a thing from you,
Like some…
No one’s gonna hurt you, no one’s gonna dare
Others can desert you,
Not to worry, whistle, I’ll be there!
Demons’ll charm you with a smile, for a while
But in time…
Nothing can harm you
Not while I’m around…Songwriters: Stephen Sondheim
