Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@oodiebom
OODIEBOM,
Good Evening and Hanukkah Sameach to you and your husband.
I know you have a lot on your plate this week, so please take little breaks here and there.
Dont forget to write down on a piece of paper all the questions you want to ask to doctor and place the paper in your purse after you have written it down.
Perhaps getting your husband some ensure to drink or boost, not everyday but some to have twice or three times a week.
Our temperature here was down to mid forties for two days. This Evening is going to be chilly in the high forties.
With all that is happening around you I would have to agree with you, stress. But add just plain tired to that too. Its impossible to do all that you do and not be tired. So make time to rest.
I don’t know about a strenuous exercise being a good idea, I am sure the therapist should come up with an exercise that is beneficial without being strenuous. Shouldn’t it be considered what your husband can and cannot do along with his age?
I am sure you have this but I will ask, a Glucose Meter, to check your blood sugar at home. You know, a little on the finger with a strip. I started doing that since the mid nineties when my brother became diabetic in Brazil, we were very alike. I started doing that about once a month, now I do it once a week. Just to check it, and since my husband has diabetes two I keep on top of it.
I hope you husband’s A1C is low and that the doctor is able to solve his knee pain. The orthopedist should be able to let you know if the pain is actually from the knee or the hip and reflecting onto the knee, which is what I get sometimes.
I told my cousin that there not one day that my body doesn’t have some kind of pain. Most winters because of the cold I throw my back out, or some kind of back pain. Then there is my dislocated hip, not in its socket. And of course it shortens leg causing pain in the hip, back, knee. Now for about a month I have a shooting pain on the left foot. The left leg is the pone I stand on most. It started on the ball of the foot and it has traveled to the middle. Everytime I take a step it hurts.
I hope you get your A/C working and your duct work done this week, and fingers crossed that it’s not to expensive.
November 28th marked three years we have moved down from Jacksonville. Hard to believe its been three years.
Please take time to rest Oodiebom, and take care. -
Great!

Sheba, Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Ours was quiet, at home, used Mom’s Lenox plates. My husband is still asking for pie but we have had enough here. 🙂
Hiked today at a place about 30 minutes away, Got back to the car in 1 hour and was wiped out. Lots of hills. I tried to go fast but it still took an hour. Last week when we went, saw lot of police activity near a residence, couldn’t find out any information.
A lot of issues in LA and SF in CA with craziness. We decided to skip the LA Auto Show this year for that reason.
Had my booster #3, son and husband should have by weeks end.
Have a great week ahead all! -
Looking good. Love the pops of color.

@ Sheba
Hello Sheba, where has November gone. Did you have a relaxing Sunday,or did you enjoy it by catching up on things?
I think the decorations this year will be limited, we do have a giant wreath that goes over the garage. And others for the front and side of the house.
Inside I will do a little, I hate the take down decorations time. So as little as possible this year.
I want to put my time in baking. I am not sure yet but, I think of baking cookies or some kind of Holiday goods and offer to my neighbors in the neighborhood through Facebook. Some like one bake day a week for each week in December and offer that item free to the neighborhood. What do you think?
Seeing the pictures of Fiddler on the Roof brought back memories of when I was in 5th grade. My class took a trip to New York to see Fiddler on the Roof. We all rode a bus from Marlow Heights Maryland to New York City, stayed in a Hotel and loads of fun.
Take care Sheba. -

I Left My Heart in San Francisco
Tony BennettI left my heart
In San Francisco
High on the hill
It calls to meTo be where little cables cars
Climb halfway to the stars
The morning fog may chill the air
I don’t careMy love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you San Francisco
Your golden sun will shine for meMy love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you San Francisco

Though there’s a 60-year age difference between them, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga discovered an incredible artistic connection and have created beautiful music together over the last decade. Bennett, who has been performing for over 70 years, announced his retirement from performing live earlier this year and has decided to close that chapter of his career with Lady Gaga. His final concert, One Last Time, was recorded in August at Radio City Music Hall and will air on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday, November 28.
Best of luck Tony I am blessed to have seen you and Gaga perform. ✨✨
