Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Wow what a day. ✨I am so glad your mammogram was clean. I know you have
peace of mind. I am late posting because a lot in the family in Wichita, Kansas
have Covid-19. So far they are mild symptoms. I worry about the young children
and there are two who are under the age of three with the Covid-19.My phone has been busy today. 😜
The niece in Springfield, MO is waiting to see if she is negative that is a total of six
in the family with Covid-19. I am so tired of this virus. So glad you got your procedure out of the way. Get some rest now the house can wait.
I love the signs you saw especially about your parents house and yours. ✨ I always
look for the silver lining.Tomorrow is another day. 😘✨

Good evening. I saw your note after the appointment and I thank you for all the rainbows. It must have helped because I received a great report. The sign that really helped put me in a good mood was seeing the same countertops that my parents had in their home and the flooring that was the same as ours in Florida, but in a different color.
Your BIL must have had a virus that did havoc to his kidneys. Physicians usually help the kidneys to function again using dialysis for a period of a few weeks to many months. It’s a bummer in a sense since the patient really is tied down for many hours. I had a friend who was in this position and at times he wanted to call it quits. Sitting in the same chair of being in bed was not an easy task. Best advice is to read, watch TV, take cat naps, play a game or two, etc.. Not being able to travel was the one thing he missed. Also, don’t be surprised if nothing works during the dialysis. It seems one day you are down and out and the next you are on the right road to recovery. Maybe this is a good time to find a hobby that will help him recover sooner.

Arrived at the appointment about 20 minutes early. Hubby came with me, but waited in the car.
Well, went to the reception area and they told me that my appointment was yesterday. However, I did let them know that I had not received a phone call to remind me, which is very unusual. They were able to fit me in.I was also scheduled for a bone scan. That didn’t go over well. Got on the table and put my head down and proceeded to get a “lovely” dizzy spell where the room was actually go around and around. Could not focus. So that appointment was cancelled and will contact them for another day and time. Thank goodness I carry Dramamine just for episodes like this. I sat for about 5 or 10 minutes and walked back to the car. Hubby was hungry, so we stopped at a diner for lunch, oops, brunch. We were in the same shopping area as the Farmer’s Market, but reluctantly we decided to go home where we both fell asleep for a couple of hours. Costco beckoned and so we returned for water and toilet paper. They were out of both. A shipment is expected tomorrow, but I’m done. I really need to get this house in order and if I can make a huge dent (which I doubt) I will take a break.
The dizziness has always been a challenge. Did have both a CAT scan and an MRI, but everything was perfect. The ENT felt that the episodes are due to both not eating prior to an appointment as well as to the Eustachian tube not working as it should. There is surgery for this, but, there are no guarantees. With the sulfite allergy I am reluctant to try this. The ENT felt that hearing aids would not help my loss of hearing either, though I have not ruled out trying.

Hi and a good afternoon. I am now home but will be returning to Costco. The man went well. Actually I am on cloud nine and over the moon. The cyst no longer exists. No scar tissue could. Be found from previous surgeries and biopsies. It was all clean. And there was a sign just before the mam. The countertops near the sink were exactly the same as the ones in my. Parent’s kitchen. The flooring was the same as mine, only a different color. Will write more later.

Thinking of you today.💗🌈💗🌈💗🌈

@Sheba
Good Afternoon Sheba, I hope this finds you well and warm. Those temperatures kind of frightens me.
I must agree especially for the month of December we did get many days of an heat wave into the mid eighties.
Now the temperature has come down into the seventies and a couple of nights into the very high forties.
Unfortunately I am a horrible writer, a cook book would not fair well. I just like cooking and baking others people recipes. I only have a handful of my own and not enough for a cook book.
I do like sharing recipes with others. Like that Chicken ala Celia I shared a few months ago. It can be used in so many ways and for many things. It can go in the freezer and used later in the future.
Stay warm and safe Sheba.
Take care. -
Cold today and waiting for the snow to fall.🌨 They predict 1-2″ but hardly ever believe what they say. It’s the ‘burgh, could be a dusting or six inches. News people are all over the roads with storm suggestions. Again, it’s the ‘burgh, not Miami, we know what to do!😣
Won the hockey game last night.🏒 We were losing most of the game and tied and went ahead in the last eight minutes. Exciting but I like blowouts, one way or the other, don’t need the stress.😩 Same way you are with the football.
SIL slowly getting better, BIL kind of down with all the dialysis.😥 But he has to do it, not an option. Hope you get a break and Oz warms up a bit, is it spring yet?😎

Oodie they should tell you something right then and there and then send you a letter.
I knew before I left everything was alright but until I got the official letter I was relieved.
Take your time today. ✨

Walking through Your Fear
Frequently, in walking through our fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of sync with reality.
The situations, activities, and individuals that frighten us remain static. Their relative intensity does not change. Fear, on the other hand, self-magnifies. It is when you are afraid and envisioning all that might go wrong that the energy underlying your fear grows. A tiny flicker of anxiety can easily develop into a terror that manifests itself physically and eventually paralyzes you into inaction. Though frequently, in walking through that fear, we discover that the strength of our fright was out of synch with reality. And we learn that doing what frightens us can lead to great blessings. Confronting your trepidation head-on will help you accept that few frightening scenarios will ever live up to the negative disasters that we sometimes play out in our minds.
Though fear is literally an evolutionary gift meant to sharpen your senses and energize you during times of great stress, it can nonetheless become a barrier that prevents you from fulfilling your potential by causing you to miss out on rewarding, life-changing experiences. During the period before you face your fear, you may have to deal with a barrage of negative thoughts and emotions. Walking through it, whether your fear is public speaking, taking part in an activity that makes you nervous, or asserting yourself when the odds are against you, may be equally as difficult. But once you have emerged unscathed on the other side, which you will, you will likely wonder why you assumed the worst in the first place. As you spend time worrying about what might happen, it’s good to know that your fear probably won’t happen at all. It may feel like a great weight has been lifted from your shoulders, and you will likely feel a sense of passionate pride. Walking through your fear can mean taking risks and can require both practice and patience. Since it is challenging to act when you are gripped with fear, start small.
Each step you take into fear will strengthen you and help you confront future fears with poise, courage, and confidence. You will also find that when you are willing to stare your fear in the face, the universe will always offer you some form of aid or support. When you see the heights of accomplishment and personal evolution you can attain when you walk through your fears, your faith in yourself will grow, allowing your next step to be easier. Amen! ✨✨
