Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

It’s been a busy afternoon. I decided to stop where I left off and go through some things in the hallway closet. Hubby put things away before I actually cleaned the shelves and the walls. In between Trivia games I hope to wash the floor and go through things as they return.
Hubby spent most of the day in bed. Our physician ordered some meds to relieve the knee pain, but I’m sorry to say that it is too much to take. I think, when he isn’t looking, I will divide the pill in half and see how that works. He won’t let me touch iit otherwise. Also began reloading the van with donations.
So sorry to learn that Sidney Poitier passed. May he RIP. I remember watching “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” numerous times. I think, if I remember correctly, this was the last time Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn worked together. Tracy passed soon afterwards.
Well, it is almost time for Trivia. I just put the A/C on. Temp in the house reached 79 degrees.
I will try to send some warmth your way. -
So happy for you with the test results.🥰👍 One less thing to worry about that we all worry about every year.🌹

We got our two inches of snow and it is cold here also, around 20 degrees.❄🥶 Going to see mom and sis tomorrow but all is well with them.
I am making spaghetti with hot sausage in the sauce for dinner, something different that we don’t have often.🍝 I could eat pasta every day.😋
Saying prayers for all your family members, will it ever end (probably not).😫 Have a good, warm evening by the fire.🔥 Hugs from me and Jake up above.🤗🐕💕

@Sheba
Good Afternoon Sheba, l hope by the time you read this your family members are doing better. Let’s pray that it’s the Omicron variant and not Delta. Omicron is a milder version. Nevertheless its not to be taken lightly.
Sending good vibes to you, to keep being strong. Sending prayers to your family members for a quick recovery.
For a first week in January, it did go by fast. Time just races on by and it seems that as one gets older it’s even faster.
We our suppose to get a cold front, nothing very cold though. Temperatures will be back up on track for Florida Winter days.
Please be careful, stay strong, stay positive, keep warm and take care Sheba.
See you in Trivia. -
Sharing Grief
Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability helps create truly close bonds.
When we experience something that causes us to feel shock and sadness, we may feel the urge to withdraw from life. It may seem like remaining withdrawn will keep us protected from the world, but during these times it is important to reach out to those trusted and precious people who care about us the most. Even with our best information and reasoning, we never know when someone else’s experience or perspective can give us additional information that we need. The universe speaks to us through many channels, and when we open ourselves up to receive its messages, we also receive nurturing care from a loving partner in life’s journey.
Grief is part of the human experience, and sharing our vulnerability is what creates truly close bonds in our relationships. Opening ourselves up in this way gets to the core of our being, past all of our defenses and prejudices. When life seems to crack the outer shell of our world, we are both raw and fresh at the same time. It is then that we discover who is truly willing to walk with us through life. We also see that some of those sent to us may not be the ones we expected to see. Regardless, we learn to trust in the universe, in others, in our own strength and resilience, and in the wisdom of life itself.
Sharing grief allows us to ease our burden by letting someone else help carry it. This helps us process our own inner thoughts and feelings through the filter of a trusted and beloved someone. We may feel guilty or selfish, as if we are unloading on someone who has their own challenges. Although, if we think about it, we know we would do the same for them, and their protests would seem pointless. Remember that not sharing feelings with others denies them the opportunity to feel. We may be the messenger sent by the universe for their benefit, and it is on this mission that we have been sent. By sharing our hopes and fears, joys and pains with another person, we accept the universe’s gifts of wisdom and loving care. ✨✨

Good morning in S. California I do hope everything will be alright with the tests.
I did read your post from last evening. It is very daunting they they think all of us will get Covid-19. I need to research that a bit.
A lot of people who have been vaccined three times are getting it and they claim it is
not as bad. I think any form of Covid-19 is bad. This is getting to be annoying you play by all the rules you social distance and you get
the vaccine you supposed to get and then you still end up with it. Shizzle!Taci take care and if you hike just wear your mask. Happy Trails To You. 🎶🎶
